I'd love to try one of those for walleye in Michigan. If we ever get ice here, I am planning on using my Insta360 x3 for videos. An external battery (lifepo4) 10Ah and a 1TB card can record for over 19 hours straight. You just have to keep track of times where interesting things happen and you don't even have to point the camera. Find the clip by time and reframe the action while editing. How many times have you seen a video where the camera is pointed at the hole as another fisherman bites it coming in hard. You would have the fish coming out and the blooper as well...
Try using your foward view when ice fishing it sees things on the bottom a lot better than down view 👍👍 and foward sees behind a ways also.
The Garmin has been very tempting but I have caught a ton of fish with flashers over the years.
