  • This 4-part documentary from 2008 follows the progress of 4 law students on the thorny path to become fully-fledged barristers, as well as giving a glimpse into the work of already established barristers.
Barristers are a legal profession with a long tradition in the judicial system of England and Wales. Until fairly recently most barristers were often not directly contacted by clients but by solicitors on behalf of clients. But as some things in the profession this is slowly changing.

A valid point but would you seriously argue that if his client had the circumstances that he described such as a good "education", he would still be just as likely to commit such offences ?

You can see that the defence barrister is saying it with an implicit smirk

Why does Bond bow to the other (awesome!) dude? Is he just messing around or is there a barrister pecking order that requires him to do that, is it a custom or what?

What did the other barrister say in the end? You won't be able to make a living of what??? I did not get that! Can someone tell me?

The Defendant's barrister says Bond wouldn't be making a living if it weren't for the apparent lack of discipline, proper upbringing and education. Making a living i.e. earning a fee for prosecuting and defending Clients like this. Bond then points out that the Defendant's barrister is also making a living out of the Defendant.
      Hope that helps!
