I feel so, so, so bad for Kakoly. What an awful thing to go through.

Can't believe a chambers would confirm someone for tenancy, and then later inform them its possible that they would rescind the offer. How horrible for the new tenant! All that drivel about being sympathetic to the common man, and this is how they treat their people. And the head of chambers is totally unsympathetic at all with his lame feeble reasons!

Indeed. Also worthy of note is the sentence beginning at 6m 40s, "...and I would have - " cough,"...and I tell each candidate".
I wonder what he was about to say before dramatically changing his mind?

In my world 'my word is my bond'. This chambers should be disbarred from practice.

Yes it was very cruel....if I was the new tenant I don't know if I would be able to accept that. It certainly lays the foundations for potential abusive treatment in the future.

I feel Kakoly’s pain. I understand that Chambers need to make money, but to extend an offer for tenancy then rescind it calls into question its integrity.

That female tenant should have read the fine print. Not in the best tradition of the bar to overlook the fine print. this decision is subject to something else means it aint binding.

Same thing happens with bricklayers darling. you get hired and fired if your good competent qualified and highly skilled you will unknowingly embarrass and threaten the status of the older serving employees and they will do everything in there power to get rid of you.ive been bullied out of quite a few building projects for being to experianced and being qualified with to much skillfull ability. Some empoyers don't like it either and find it thretening they think your going to steal there contracts and clients. having good comunication skills and an alfa competent personality is most unwelcome. Working on sites with drinkers dope smokers and coke snorters is a toxic environment. but whatever I was well liked in a lot of places.having an indian girlfriend with a law degree didn't help either.i just find this barrister training on here highly intresting.can you not get your own work and clients from an Internet Web page and build up a client base and reputation that way.

Law pays peanuts in UK compared to US. I know friends moved to US and did JD. For UK better careers in start up tech firms or property development or investment management.

Isn't that Kakoly Pande, who studied in Germany for a while? I think I used her many, many years ago as a scapegoat for the annoying and racist behavior of some of my professors and slammed her in the middle of the street. Of course I had to pay a fine for this, but I got the money for it through relationships abroad. Seen in this way, it was not a financial loss for me. Do I regret my behavior? To be honest, by no means !!! Incidentally, in retrospect I never made a secret of it and thanks to this, I now live a very international and intercultural life, and I can finally let off steam on an intercultural level.
