PS: In the description I also added time stamps for each orchid, so if you need a little recap at the end, you can click on the times and the video will jump to the orchid you are interested in! ;)
What a splendid show of gorgeous blooms! Phals look spectacular! 😍😍😍 Could not choose one over another, so went and voted for a Paph 😄😄😄🙈 Thank you, Danny, this vid was a Treat!!!
Beautiful array of blooms!!! As for Tolumnia producing keikis. I received Tolumnia Irene Gleason mounted on cork bark for my birthday in February 2019 with buds on two 12” flower spikes. The spikes grew to 24” in another month and then the buds opened. They and their subsequent branches were in bloom through August. The one flower spike died off, but the other in late Autumn 2019 did develop a keiki about halfway up the spike. After it developed some roots, I cut the spike off ahead of it; it has been growing roots (about 1” now) and fans ever since. This past month (April 2020) I started bending the spike so that the keiki roots would be touching the cork. I think they are starting to attach! When they are firmly attached and growing, I will cut the spike. Good luck! 😄
I really wanted to vote for the Zheng Min Anaconda Yaphon because you talked about the scent, but that Pinyf is the most beautiful phalaenopsis i’ve ever layed my eyes on. If I ever saw anything like that in my area I would grab it so ninja fast, but I would probably never be so lucky.
I love your variety of orchids. Ravishing! My favorite today was Pirate Picotee ?. I know Pirate was part of the name for sure. Thanks for sharing your growing knowledge, warts and all, with us! Just ordered slotted pots, planting mixes, and fertilizer from rePotme. Love all the colors there, too. Thanks for the recommendation.
Your orchids are beautiful! I have two palapa opinions orchids it look very healthy I’ve got new leaves but refused to bloom. I’ve had them for one year. I follow all the proper instructions for good care.😒
Hi Danny! thank you for the time stamps, it was a great help and tool. "I noted the phal after the paphs, which one was that again, click.. oh yeah, that one!" - So, my choices are # 1: 24, # 2: 7, # 3: 23, # 4: 15, #5: 25. Thank you for these videos! Stay safe and keep smiling!
oh so many lovely orchids! I wanted to vote for several; especially the dendrobium nobile type, the encyclia cordigera, the zeng min anaconda yaphon... but in the end the american beauty won me over!
Don’t ever cut the flower spike of a epidendrum radicans until is completly dry because sometimes it takes a lot of time until they reflower or put out keikis in the old spikes. Trust the process and be patient!!
Hi, no trouble, my radicands bloom every year in their blooming season 😋 oh just reread your comment, think I missinterpreted it! No worries though, not that keen on keikis or secondaries, I prefer the yearly fresh spikes ☺️
MissOrchidGirl oh is ok, the bloom display after all is about preference. And yeah, i was talking about the old spikes, because my radicans bloom every time they develop a new growth, but only in spring they tend to bloom in old branches and produce keikis too!! ^_^ here in the hot Caribbean climate of Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 they bloom for me all year around!!
Hello Danny, I really enjoy watching your videos! Thank you for what you do! I copied your Paph self watering set up in a Lechuza pot, & it’s doing great! Thank you!
Hi Danny. Thank you for all the work you placed into straw poll and gosh with 30 candidates. ...and as always pitch perfect. The Dendrobuim Nobile as you had chosed as thumbnail with good reason. Great job 👏!!
Hello, I was wondering if you only put the orchid pots into the opaque outer pot for the presentation or if it is ok to grow them in these pots. I keep hearing that the roots need light so I remove all of mine from decorative opaque pots. I am confused. Thank you for being very well prepared for your presentations. I have watched many of your videos.
I have a phal which just finished bloom. She has 3 flower spikes. I have read you shouldnt cut back all 3 spikes. 2 are large and the 3rd is much thinner. Would like any advise. The orchid is healthy with many good roots and new root growth.
Ah! One of my Tolumnias has been working on flower spikes for almost three months: First it had one. Then a second one emerged. It stayed stagnant for a month or so and now it started to branch the first flower spike and produce a forth but no signs for it to mature any of them any time soon... I'm getting rather impatient.
hi miss dani, my question is, how did you delay new growth on your no id dendrobium nobile? did you actually stop fertilizing and watering too much when the canes mature so that it never grow another growth during October when it's still hot in your climate just like you said? i would like to clarify this part. I really love to try the nobile but the problem is the temperature here in Philippines is neutral around ber months maybe around 25 to 30 celcius and lower around Febuary, but the lower temperature only last maybe a few weeks. Thanks and I really love your vids, really helping me out here.
Dany i love your channel, that white special phalaenopsis is amazing, You should make seeds, i would love to get some seedlings if it could be possible, P L E A S E ! ! ! :D
Hi, no I stay away from 'hack' type fertilizers and practices personally ☺️ I use a well balanced orchid fertilizer developed by the Michigan State University, check it out here ua-cam.com/video/3wVKQ6C3CUM/v-deo.html
Hi Paula from Mexico, I ordered a Bellina double Trouble. I am on pins & needles waiting for it to come. I hope it survives the mail. It is in customs.
Poate am omis eu videoclipul, toate neofinetia miros la fel? Era diferența de miros, intensitate? Cum ți s-a părut era plăcut mirosul? Se poate asocia cu un miros cunoscut? 😊
Hello! I have a question about a paphiopedilum. Do you have any experience with the Fairrieanum? I've heard that it's super easy for some people but super difficult for others. I just got into collecting orchids. I have about 10 now, and I was wondering if the paphiopedilum Fairrieanum would be suitable for a beginner.
PS: In the description I also added time stamps for each orchid, so if you need a little recap at the end, you can click on the times and the video will jump to the orchid you are interested in! ;)
Thanks! What a great idea.
MissOrchidGirl This was very helpful! Thank you!
Can you give pointers where to get the Phal Pinyf in Europe? Have searched but no luck :) Beautiful plants!
Pink and yellow together is my favorite. Something about the pastel colors next to eachother in a pattern. Makes me so happy.
I'm depressed looking at these gorgeous flowers especially knowing I can't keep an orchid. They're lovely
Such a beautiful orchid collection. I can’t vote for just one.loved them all. 🥰
I loved the Phalaenopsis no Id orange red. All the orange orchids are beautiful. You have a great collection.
So many beauties, wish we could vote for more than one❤️

Star anise
Official vote: Thing Shun Flying Eagle, because the simple idea of variable blooms, just sounds fabulous. 🙂 Every bloom a new surprise.
Spellchecker doesn't speak orchid. You know who I mean. 🙂

Beautiful flowers.
I noticed you let your orchids lean over! You don’t use sticks to hold them up?
My favorite is the pinyf.
Love yellow! Phal Sun passt
Absolutely gorgeous collection. Do you use banana peel soaked for fertiliser?
