AIs will not replace radiologits. But those one who will not use AI. There is no denial of fact that with increased speed and efficiency, a lot of radiologiest will become redundant leading to job losses.

Radiologist as a job is image interpretation and reporting (mostly) , Latest AI can do that, there are multiple websites available even now, all you need is just upload the image and you will get excellent image report. Not every medical professional are in danger, but simple image reporting like radiology, slide reporting like pathology are in real danger. Now corporate hospitals, and even government hospital will only need a minimum number of radiologist, since a single doctor can verify the AI interpretation and just sign on the report.

Even a single Radiologist per hospital is a huge number of Radiologist required considering the number of hospitals in India. Also majority of workload of Radiologist is ultrasound. There is no way AI can interpret ultrasound for next 20-30 years.

Radiologist kon sa definite diagnosis bnate sare cases mein.Uske baad bhi diagnosis k liye bhot sare investigation krane pdte like Biposy, IHC,etc.Iske alwa clinician ko clinically diagnosis bnani pdti.. Isliye mere ko lgta radiology ka 70-80% kaam AI se kiya ja skta...and i hope in future this will be implemented everywhere.
