Joey, this song was written by Freddie about Mary Austin, the love of his life, former live-in girlfriend and fiancee. When their romance collapsed after he told her that he believed he was bisexual, their bond survived. He bought her a home within walking distance from his; they were there for each other, year after year. He trusted her as no one else. He referred to her in the press as his common-law wife. He had many lovers; he was in a loving relationship with Jim Hutton the last seven years. But in the final analysis, Mary was his soulmate. They never really stopped loving each other. By Freddie's own public words, their bond was unreachable. He left her the bulk of his fortune, and his walled London estate, Garden Lodge. She lives quietly there still, surrounded by furniture and art that Freddie picked out.

@@gd6854 is it on a UA-cam video? Or is it a video where they see a plaque on a post with others and has his name on it and a little passage? Because there are fake ones out there to keep them off the trail.

@@lethalweapon4052 the thing is, nobody really knows that for absolutely 100% certain; his mother and sister may have known, but helped Mary keep her word to Freddie by helping her keep the secret. Then again, maybe not. The only ones who truly know for sure are Mary and Kashmira (Freddie's younger sister). Besides, anybody looking for Freddie needs to turn on a record, video on UA-cam, or CD. In his music is where you'll find him. 🙂😉

Freddie was just one of the greatest performers to ever grace a stage. He had that charisma that just got people to react the way they did. And he fed off that. He was also a perfectionist. He gave every performance everything he had. I think, not for sure, but I think this was Freddie’s last tour with Queen. By then I think he was feeling the effects of Aides. Although he wasn’t diagnosed until, I believe, April of 87. He said he just couldn’t do it any longer. When he died the world lost a very unique, very talented individual that will never be repIaced still love you Freddie, I always will.

I knew the movie was coming out for months and I wanted to see it, but that's not what reignited my interest in them. What did was your reaction to the song Bohemian Rhapsody. No matter what I was watching, UA-cam constantly suggested it, so I finally gave in and watched it. I loved seeing it again and I liked seeing your reaction to it so I watched another of your Queen reactions which led me down a rabbit hole of other people reacting to them.. so... yeah. I will make you a little jealous now, I was at this concert, seeing them 4 times in total over the years. Very soon after this gig they performed their last ever concert at Knebworth which I was also fortunate to be at, 140,000 people

There were 10 "thumbs down" when I viewed this. Who in their right mind could be so negative to vote that way? One of their many, many extraordinary, yet so underrated and underplayed masterpieces - what a sad existence those nay sayers must lead ....

So sad how this song turned out.. he wasn't by her side when he grew old but she was by his side when he was dying. RIP Freddie. We all still love you.
