I hope i made Freddie proud go watch my remix to Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody link: ua-cam.com/video/MV1GlpwCG0I/v-deo.html
All can sing. They were amazing. Still the best. I m 68 listen to them every day. Listen to Mother Love. Last son he ever son. Brian had to finish it. Freddie didn't make it ge passed.
To my knowledge, the bassist, John Deacon, didn't sing on any album or in any live performance. He was still a helluva bass player and songwriter. Plus, he invented/built the Deacy amp, which is the amp that Brian May used to create many of the uniquely "Queen" sounding guitar solos and choruses that you hear on pretty much every album, so yeah, he carried his weight even if he didn't sing.
@@michaelcrooks5477 he sang on most of the songs he just didn't lead any so he was not distinct but on live performances of the song liar they would have a section were just Freddie and John would sing
Hold up, can we talk about Roger's vocals in this?? Damn!
HopeforHobi XO Yes! We (or, at least I) can talk about HIS vocals ALL DAY LONG!! Straight-up, man!!
Right? Holy moly Roger was the high vocals in Bohemian Rhapsody. He is an amazing drummer as well. Queen had it all.
Rogers vocals ? Amazing. I love his vocals in any song. Could watch him drum and sing 24/7.
@@mindistewart3251 Roger's vocals: ua-cam.com/video/zcXAelymbTI/v-deo.html
Brian's vocals: ua-cam.com/video/J-UptzjhGSA/v-deo.html
Freddie said in an interview that they left the "dog whistle" notes to Roger 😂
Every member of Queen wrote a number one hit. Don't think its ever been done before or since by a band, incredibly talented bunch of lads.
Which of Roger's tunes made it to #1?
Kind of magic, Radio Gaga.
@@LeChaunce radio ga ga.
Oh, I see - yeah, Kind of Magic made it to 1 in Spain, and Radio Ga Ga made it to 1 in a number of countries in Europe. I didn’t think he had any number 1s in either the U.S. or the U.K. - didn’t think to check other countries. How provincial of me! (Thanks for the clarifications, folks.)
Days of our lives was primarily written by by Roger Taylor
Yo he drank beer to clear his voice for real each concert. The water he threw at the crowd lol...the beer he drank
Yep, Queen were probably the most overqualified band ever. Three excellent singers and four excellent songwriters, all of them also artists, engineers and/or scientists. Anyone would be hard pressed to keep up with that level of brilliance.
Yep, the Red Special is pretty much a band member in her own right. ❤️
Greatest RocknRoll bands in all of history, in no particular order- Queen, Zeppelin, Beatles
Darnaguen Umm. They ALL wrote songs for the band. Really. All 4 of them wrote. And played. And sang. Yes. They surely did.
@@eileentsiapanos5430 all 4 wrote songs but john deacon the bass player never sang.
And a bass player that can create and lay a killer drive beat. Nobody can beat this band.
"Right then every woman in the building was pregnant." You crack me up!
By the end, they were all carrying twins.
Every man worth their salt too. Dont care it doesnt work that way.
LOL! The world needs an army of Freddie's babies!
I think I am again now. I'll be in the record book at this rate lol
Ha ha! Oh, he was a fine fine man! I'm doing the next best thing to having his babies, turning my kids into rabid Queen fans.
He wears a vest with superman on it , but let's face superman should wear a costume with Freddies face on it 😂
There's videos of Freddie singing We Will Rock You, while sat on the shoulders of Superman.
Fuckin aye, man!!!
Yaaaaaaaaaasssssssss!!!
Adore you, Freddy. Queen lives!
Some people are saying that all these queen reaction videos lately are just for views, but I can tell that you really enjoy listening to them and you have a lot of respect for freddies voice!! He's definitely the greatest!
Seriously, is there any other band that could collectively get as many views for a first time reaction? Any other band (and there are many other good ones) and you would have run out of good material long ago...
see i dont care who sees it its bringing more people to queen and freddie.. and anything that can bring people together in music is a great thing.. we all have different lives, Music reaches everyone.. SO more good music is needed in this world..
lobo00712 I’d put Pink Floyd there with them but other than that?...No
Some guys are more transparent than others that they are only in it for the subs and the views. I do think Joey is more genuinely enthusiastic than others who are participating in this trend of reaction videos.
I feel you are right girl
This was the way it was in the 1970's and early '80's. Bands had pure unadulterated talent.
4 singers, 4 instruments. That's it.
So blessed I was born at a time that I could experience all of this first hand.
Rodger was the hardest working guy in this group, can you imagine, beating out and keeping the band together, while your singing with your neck cranked to the side like that. Amazing!
You got that so right. Watch Wembley 86 - the amount of vocals he does as well as drumming, of course, is off the charts.
Queen- Cool Cat. Freddie's vocals are insane in this song
And only John Deacon did all of the instruments for that song
Looooooooove that song! His voice is out of this realm!!!
You should react to Queens entire Live Aid performance. The best live performance in history
Indeed...
Also vote up one from me, but in all honesty, while that performance is widely considered legendary, to me it was just a typical "day at the office" caliber live performance by Queen at the height of their powers. Watch any other live performance video by them, and they're equally as powerful and astounding. I think Live Aid stands out because it gave non-Queen fans an opportunity to see how amazing they were when compared to other top acts of the day. And it gave us Queen fans a chance to say: "See? they ARE in a class all by themselves!" :-)
In answer to your question Freddie, Brian (the guitarist with the black curly hair) and Roger (the drummer) sang but John the bass player didn't. If you want to check out 'I'm in Love with My Car' - Roger sang lead vocals and for a Brian singing lead check out '39'
Driven by You is a great Brian May song as well.
Sail Away Sweet Sister by May is heart breaking.
Axl Rose from Guns N‘ Roses liked it as well. He used to sing the beginning of this song at their live shows back in the 90s
39 is a great great great great song, but I have to say I like Brians version of it. Freddie sung it live, but I find Brians version more emotional.
Yes, it is. Every time I hear them I'm astounded by how talented all of them were.
Goosebumps everytime with this version... in the zone 👏👏👏🏌️♂️
Miss you Freddie! No one will ever have the vocal range and use it the why you do, especially preforming! I love you!, always!
Roger was such a good singer that he had his own band aside from Queen where he played lead guitar and sang lead vocals. He also recorded quite a few solo albums. He has a degree in Science too.
Freddie Mercury was one of the most talented people EVER!
Continue resting in peace, Freddie.
You changed the world!
What amazing voice Freddie
Freddie never drank beer on stage. He loved his beers, but on stage he had water with honey or tea for his voice. RIP. Legend.
They all sing!!, no back-up singers, just the 4 of them!
Yes. Every one of them had a voice of their own. Every one wrote for Queen. Every one played for the band. That’s just it... they were A band. Entirely an all-for-one-and-one-for-all type of band which really doesn’t exist any more. R there any bands like that these days? I really think not.
Yes, not only can Roger Taylor (the dummer) and Brian May (the Guitarist) sing; Brian May is also an Astrophysicist.... Kinda reminds me how I haven't done anything important with my life haha
didnt may become a Astrophysicist. after Freddies death thou
Brian May was well on the road to getting his doctorate but gave it up in 1974 when Queen found some success. So I think he was just an astrophysicist on hiatus. Either way what a talented dude
Actually, he did get it...I think it was 2006
Oh I know he has a doctorate now, I was just trying to explain he was never not a scientist
He'd started his studies as Queen began but yes, finished PhD after Freddie's passing
I am loving your reaction videos to Freddie Mercury and Queen. They were everything everything everything when I was a high school kid. I still love Freddie ! I’m sure you have seen the LiveAid videos, amazing! 💕💕
I'm glad I just found your channel. This is amazing and fun to watch your reactions to the music.
Actually in live performance, Roger Taylor - Drummer sing the high note as backup, he also sings the whole song of Im in Love With My Car - just search, it was on the same concert in Montral 1981. I believe there's a video of it medley right after "Killer Queen" song.
I don't care that Freddie Mercury was gay all i care about is that he had good looks and had an amazing voice.
He actually wasn't gay, Freddie was bisexual lol he admitted it to his fiancee (Mary Austin) in the early 70's but the movie would have you believe he was gay lol he liked girls too, so he was bi, he just didn't want anyone speculating on who he had sex with, so he didn't want to admit it to the open public, because he wanted them to focus on their music, as opposed to whether or not he was running around to different gay clubs everywhere,...which he WAS lol he just wouldn't say it in interviews, and he's well known for a lack of interviews, unless he thought whoever it was, was either very nice, or good looking
I just always thought they were all gay, with the name the band had. This was 40+ years ago. Didn’t care, I just liked their music.
Between 3:30 and 4:00 you look like you’re about to shed a totally reasonable tear
Roger Taylor the drummer was the one who could hit the high falsetto notes, you can hear them in bohemian rhapsody and somebody to love, lap of the gods and so on. Very talented musician.
and I believe the really high notes in Under Pressure
johnnymegabyte his vocals in Under Pressure at Wembley 86 are fantastic.
Not only can all of them sing (except for John ) but they may be the only band where every member has written a #1 hit!
Check out George Michael’s version at Freddie’s tribute concert. It’s magnificent!
You can hear Freddie, Roger and Brian singing the same song in "Let me live", from the posthumous album "Made in heaven" (awesome album, btw...); curiously, this is a song with a structure that reminds a lot "Somebody to love".
We will never see a Singer, Musician, Composer, Entertainer or Frontman of his like ever again.
all band members of queen could sing except the bass player. both the guitarist and the drummer have sung several songs and the backing vocals were always done by Freddie, Brian May (guitarist) and Roger Taylor (drummer)
John Deacon seems to be the only not-singer of Queen but he was a fantastic composer (like all band members) who has written great stuff like "Another One Bites The Dust" or "You're My Best Friend"
Queen (with Mercury) was really an outstanding band of four very talented guys and the best front-man of all times.
@silv3r7 not at all
Fun Fact,... Brian May is technically "Dr. Brian May" - dude has a PhD in Physics! Given earned after Freddy's premature demise.
Yeah - props to the Doc -- and also for his ongoing environmental activism - long live the badgers! ua-cam.com/video/5cIlr-LcFsI/v-deo.html
Not to mention that the John Deacon fella is also an outstanding bassist. Queen really had an outstanding 'engine room' in that department with Deacon and Taylor. People tend to forget that if the 'engine room' on stage is not firing on all cylinders the band really ceases to function as a unit - if at all...
It’s been amazing watching your fandom for Queen grow. At some point you’ll have to watch the video for “These Are The Days of Our Lives” it’s the last time Freddie was on video before his death. But keep enjoying these videos of Freddie in his prime. Cuz you’ll have to be emotionally prepared for when you watch his later videos.
Our man mercury was doing some serious channeling of Aretha Franklin in this song. He was an admirer of hers.❤
On every LP sleeve of Queen it said " and nobody played synthesizer " meaning the all played their own instruments.
This was my first time watching this Queen performance too! I was reacting with you lol
What a front man
Freddie Mercury spellbinding
we love you freddie, amazing!!
The best singer ever to walk this earth..
If you also watch Roger Taylor (Drummer) he twirls his sticks all the time, sign of a talented Drummer.
What a bloody performance!
Knocks ones socks off, makes both nipples stand on end - if not then you need to get living!
React to Queen - No one but you, it's a song from after Freddie died, and it's Brian and Roger that are signing.. It's a beautiful song, and it always makes me cry
Det er også en flot sang :)
Makes me cry too...
Everyone of them individually have written a number hit for the band.
please, listen to the recorded version of this song also. It will give the true melody which is amazing. I am a white, 61 year old woman, who lives in Southern Missouri. I love your channel!!
Check out Play The Game from that same concert. They play it before Somebody to Love, awesome.
Love Queen and Freddie mercury never be another . Xxx
The best live vocals of Queen imo. Can you react to the live version of "Who Wants To Live Forever" @Wembley? Would really appreciate it.
it wasn't good. Budapest was better
I prefer Wembley over Budpest. Budapest is still good, but I just like Wembley more :P
@@freddiemercury7783 Freddie screaming at Wembley in Budapest he singing
He's singing at both events. Budapest maybe vocally smoother. But i just prefer the Roughness that Freddie had during Wembley.
@@freddiemercury7783 tired voice at Wembley
I love queen honestly this band inspired me to be a better person and be free
That's _definately_ beer btw.
The rasp in his voice just got my ears pregnant💯💯 first heard this song in happy feet loved it ever since
Always loved how their live performances were never just carbon copies of the studio/video versions. Amazing lead and backing vocals from the band.
Both Brian May and Roger Taylor were also very heavily featured vocalists on Queen albums. You should do "Rock it (Prime Jive)" by Queen. Opening sung by Freddie, the rest was sung by drummer Roger Taylor. I suggest deep diving into the other vocalists of Queen. Brian May also has some very lyrical ballads.
Definitely one of the best frontmen of all time. Probably in the top 3.
The best part of watching ANY Queen "Live" performance is not Freddie, because you know he's going to knock it out of the park every time....... No, it's actually watching the band standing around like nothing is going on and so damn mellow.... right up until they kick each song into high-gear and then they completely rock-out leaving the crowd going insane as Freddie comes back with the closing verses/lines to finish them off.
Crazy little thing called love by Queen
John the bassist couldn't sing well but did try bless him 😘 Roger the drummer and Brian the guitarist both had lovely voices
You can hear John sing on Liar.... i am a die hard Queen fan so he never sang alone like the others but he sang backgrounds. John wrote some amazing number one songs .
@@kimmays6190 yes he did sing but always said that he wasn't an accomplished singer but he tries 😁 I love Spread Your Wings, it's one of my favourite Queen songs written by John
Kenna Smith they could sing row row row your boat and i would play it all day... 😆 Saw them in concert 1981 that was the highlight of my life. Amazing
Your so lucky. I was 14 nearly 15 in 986 when the Magic Tour was touring and still at school so didn't have the money to travel to see them. I just thought "never mind by the time they tour again I'll be old enough to not need my parents permission" and as you know, it never happened. I'm so jealous of those who saw them perform 😘😘
May God rest him, Freddie was something else.
He drinks beer, vodka & water during a show!!!! JohnDeacon has his own little bar set up behind the amp & his roadie would keep him lit!!!!
That's definitely beer on the piano! Looks like a bottle of Heineken too. Rock'n'Roll! 😂
Did you know Michael Jackson was a special guest (backstage) at a Queen concert, also they did a duet. It;s all out there but very few know about it :)
My favourite version of somebody to love, this and under pressure from rock Montreal is so damn good!
The Montreal performance is my all time queen fav. I think it's better than live aid. Freddie literally gave it all he had on this one I mean hes crying by the end for god's sake. Freddie was not only a rock god but a musical genius. He was lost way too soon like many gay men from his generation but with his music he will live forever. I love watching your vids bro it's like getting to see them for the 1st time again myself. Thank You!!
Such a great, awesome concert 😊 37 years ago but it still sounds so good and fresh. Oh man I wish they all 4 were immortal as their music is 😊PS: 3 of 4 could sing (the bass player even rarely had interviews 😊)
Enjoying your Queen reactions! If you're going to listen to an album, I probably wouldn't recommend starting with the first one - It's good, but they're still finding their feet. I'd recommend starting with their 3rd or 4th albums, which are Sheer Heart Attack and A Night at the Opera - both are just brilliant, and their identity is more fully formed than on the first album. Whichever you go with, though, I hope you like it.
Also, from the 80's, The Works is a pretty solid album. And Innuendo is a very strong album - the last one they made when Freddie was alive. They made one more album after his death - which includes the final recordings he ever made - Made in Heaven, and I have a sneaking suspicion you'd like it. It's very moving, but also plenty of good (no bad) vibes which I think you'd like!
I am absolutely loving your Queen reactions and I would love it if you would do a reaction on one of Freddie's silly upbeat songs called living on my own. I think you would really enjoy it
On your review of Live Aid Radio Gaga, you loved the crowd participation so wondered if you could check out Bohemian Rhapsody at his tribute? Not so much for Elton and Axl, but damn you can feel the love from the crowd for that one. React to their singing! Loving your journey so far!
Hey Joey. Please react to the official video to “In My Defense” by Freddie. I find it moving to watch all the great video of Freddie while listening Freddie’s amazing vocals. It’s a beautiful song. He didn’t write it through. It was co-written by Dave Clark of the Dave Clark Five for a concept album based on a musical he co-wrote called Time. He was a friend of Freddie’s.
If you're going to do a Queen album, consider "A Kind of Magic." It's partly the soundtrack to "Highlander" and though it has multiple great songs, I don't think you've reacted to ANY of them yet. "Princes of the Universe" "Who Wants to Live Forever" "A Kind of Magic" and "Gimme the Prize" are all amazing.
react to “love of my life”, “jealousy”, or “white queen (as it began)” three of my favorite queen songs !
The drummer Roger Taylor can sing. Look up I’m in love with my car live rock Montreal and look up Brian May only the good die young
They all sing and write!
Would you do Tom Walkers "leave a light on".. I love all the queen reactions you do, Queen are an awesome band who will most definitely go down in history and Freddie well Freddie was just fabulous🤴
SmallFox74 actually the Beatles all wrote and performed number one hits. Even Richard Starkey. (Aka Ringo) Yellow Submarine, Octopuses Garden) George, John and Paul all wrote and performed number one hits.
Yes mate! My favourite performance by Queen.
...and mine too!
Smithel what about somebody to love at the bowl ?
Joey - I suggest you react to Innuendo (1991) and White Queen (as it began) live version from Hammersmith Odeon concert in 1975 - fabulous songs and performances, believe me.
listen "Queen - Let Me Live" 3 out of 4 members are singing in this song. They all had great voices
Wow... someone remember of this song except me? Beautiful...
I love this song! Please react to let me live. Special thing about this song is that the first verse is sung by Freddie, second one and the bridge by roger and the last one by Brian. Please. Pretty please.
I LOVE this song
Totally agree... "Let me Live" is the only song that showcased all the 3 voices in one song as they all shared the vocal. Glad someone else remembers it.
Great song.
Seeing you react to Bohemian Rhapsody made me instantly fall in love with you. You gained a new fan and subscriber! 💕
Brittany Dugger me too!!
Joey you need to react to You're my best friend!!! Yet another masterpiece by Freddie, Brian, John and Roger.John Deacon the bass player didnt sing much but he tried.
What a great guy you are. Btw those cups werent water. They were beer but Freddie loved vodka too hehe. Btw Ill add to your subscriber count. Great job
Spectacular
Please react to I want it all. Also who wants to live forever at wembley.
Peoud of us Brits producing so many legendary bands incl the Bee Gees and AC/DC, awaiting replies haha!
It wasn’t alcohol. It’s a drink for his vocals
music died with digitization, 70s-80s and later, musicians had to have talent, and a good stage show. then music changed, became more about the show than the music, MTV Hair bands, music videos. Then the final nail, digitaization, now you didnt need talent, they just auto tune the voice for the sound they want and they sell you that fake cookie cutter image. Mick Jagger and Steve Perry would not have made it on looks alone, the greats of the world made on skill and will be remembered, the Brittany Whos and XXX69W/E 90210 type people wont be remembered.
C Note. I totally agree! The music died by the end of the 90s and definitely by the end of the last century for me. :-(
Music dies when you get old
Class pure class.
Roger Taylor (drums) and Brian May (guitar) are good vocalist also. Roger sings "I'm in Love with My car" (great tune) and Brian sings several songs as well. Put them together with Freddie and you have pure excellence.
John Deacon (bass) is the only one that didn't sing but wrote some of their biggest hits, including "Another One Bites the Dust" among others.
john sang at radio gaga
He does sing back up sometimes
As you appreciate bands that can do it live, take a look at Muse, Live at Wembley or Rome. They have the same pomp going as Queen
great reactions ... Can I suggest Innuendo next ? ... a great track from Queen... as were they all ;)
Yes they all sing
Instead of an album, do one of their concerts. Full concert!! Wembley 86!!!
You should check out Eagles as well. All of the band members are splendid singers.
Joey!! You have to watch The End By The Doorl live in Toronto!!!! 1967
Do a night at the opera or a day at the races. Both of them are great albums from queen!!!
"News Of The World"was my favorite album of theirs; I owned it & wore it out listening.
Queen II
Sam Miller yeah, its great too
Rainy Day it has many good songs. I love my melancholy blues
Sam Miller fairy fellers masters stroke
please, react How can I go on(Freddie mercury and montserrat)
Yes!
Joey I love Freddy he was a brilliant singer and showman who held the audience in the palm of his hand I thunk you are now a Queen fan.💜🧡love from LIVERPOOL UK
TRY Stone In Love by Journey!!! Dude, my first time hearing it last year sometime. i became a fan right then and there
Joey, if you want to start at the beginning of Queen's career, I would suggest going for Queen ll as their first record they really didn't have their sound totally figured out. The one song that did stand out from the first record is Keep Yourself Alive. Also Liar is a good tune, but the entire second album is a masterpiece....it's really a favorite among die hard Queen fans like myself. I think I've seen many requests for Queen ll on your page. Link to album w/lyrics (lyrics are very critical for this album) ua-cam.com/video/6grozh4ZGsI/v-deo.html wiki - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queen_II
It wasn't just Freddie's vocals but also the group's harmonies, they all blended so well together. You just don't hear that in today's music anymore, it's a shame.
