Could you make a video and show how to make a village from the Middle Ages like maybe something like the Shire from Lord of the Rings but for bigger people to live In because I was thinking of making my own game of Robin Hood. And I was wondering if you could make a modern Suburban neighborhood with a local playground. And do you think you could make something from Star Wars? I hope this is not too much.
Seeing how you like my comment I take it that means you liked what I said like I was thinking but making a game of the Robin Hood movie that recently came out with Jamie Foxx of how it could have went do you went have you seen that version yet? That is the reason I asked you to make a village from the Medieval Times to get robin hoods Hometown memorized. And I was thinking you could make a version of how the Star Wars game that just came out called rise of the Fallen how it could have went and I just mean the beginning like I wish the hero of the story that boy name Cal I was wondering if you could draw his mentor surviving and escaping with the boy and taking him to a forest planet and builds a house and raises the boy as his own things are good there leashes good his mentor likes to carry him and tickle him the boy still uses the force only the help tend the garden and make forts tree houses and toys things are good at first until the resistance shows up when the boy 16 or 18 years old and they are followed by the and Stormtroopers are in the boy horse to flee with them and the rest happens just the same as the video game so can you just make that part of the game of how it could have went also can you make the boy not look like Cal but maybe different like can you have him at the age of 5 when they run away together and when raising him on that nice forest boy 8 years old I hope this sounds simple enough.
And I forgot to mention instead of the leader of the resistance being an African American woman I pictured her as a man a white man with brown hair and a beard and he has a daughter around the boy age.
@@chrismaccool9097 This is a very specific request, which is something I can't really dive into for many reasons since I'm trying to give people tips and advices or teach them to shape their own dreams and visions. Very interesting question because actually I planned to make my second take on the creating something in 30 minutes on creating a cave so there you will be seing how I will do it! =)
It's funny before this game came out I watched a ton Logic related tutorials because it seemed like that would be the hard part and sculpting looked easy, but now that I've played it (not a whole lot due to time or doing something else) it's actually the other way around, the logic stuff isn't that hard especially just following a tutorial step by step, but sculpting I really am struggling with, mainly because of the controls haven't got used to them yet zooming in and out is the most annoying part, but also with all the different options and button combinations to do thing, I was a bit overwhelmed, but thanks to this tutorial maybe with patience and a bit of practice I can figure it out, I see now why people make a bunch of smaller games, or have a bunch of works in progress games it's definitely got a bit of a learning curve, I wanted to make something kind of like Zelda, so maybe for practice I'll make 1 dungeon, and expand once I've learned how it all works.
I hope that my tutorials are helpful for you and yeah it might be pretty damn hard in the beginning but the more you practice the more you will get closer to being able to shape anything you can imagine and it's a great feeling seeing something come to life! =)

The tools are very good and greater than anything I’ve had access to on a similar scale and definitely on a platform such as the PS4..
Superb guide thanks a lot man! Really helped me out how you explained spray painting vs coat mode. I didn’t like that one uniform color coat mode was giving me, that spray technique gives a much more natural result. Thanks!

Thank you for the feedback! :) I used the platform that I created and cloned it for all the straight levels and additionally added the hills and stuff with new sculpts but it is made in the same way as I created the platform. You take a sphere in stamp mode (you can also transform it) and then you blend it in with other sculpts and also subtract with soft blend on in that way you can also make the same hills and other stuff which you want! I also have timelapses of creating stuff, feel free to watch them, you can see the techniques there as well :)
Thanks for making this, just started Dreams! The problem for me is not the understanding though.. It is the absolute dogshit Dualshock controls while sculpting :/
Simon Leuschel at the start of the early access everybody was complaining about the motion controls. after one week nearly everybody was happy with them and is now recommending them over the stick controls. 🤷♂️
Don't worry that's the pain that every single Dreams beginner is going through, we had it in the beta and we pushed through it. You all should definitely stick to the motion controls, it will usually take up 1-2 weeks until you got used to it, maybe longer depending on how fast of a learner you are but it's definitely the best thing to create in Dreams! ^^
just bought the game today playing for first time and tbh im just happy i got one piece of floor on the ground in my homespace lmaooo; now watchin this to learn more.
Hi, I just got Dreams a few days ago. It's more extensive than I thought. I was planning on making the concept of my real game which I'm making with Blender and Godot, with Dreams. Some things are easier in Dreams, but other things can be harder. It's a different way of aproaching things (although other things are basically the same). It's fun and frustrating at the same time. I'm still going through the tutorials in the game itself. Think I'm going to switch over to Motion Controls for sculpting, because with the controller it gets a bit wobbly. I want to make a car game. Do you know any good tutorials on how to create a decent car and roads in Dreams?
People don’t realize how easy it is to make a game here and how hard some people hard it in the past I honestly think this is more than a game this is a business
still, you're making a game that only exists within a different game and is limited by that game's visual tools (the whole fuzzy voxel thing) Don't get me wrong, this is still amazing, but if you wanna make actual games, you can also very easily do so on your own now, compared to the past, with free tools like unity and blender. Not as easy as this, yes, but much more versatile and you can, well, actually sell your standalone game
Yes it's a Playstation exclusive and it might stay like this but I definitely agree with you, I worked with C4D before and holy Dreams is sooo much better.. so much faster & way more fun! ^^
Maybe through playstationnow but by the time that happens why not get a used ps4 ? You can probably get one for around 100 to 150 if you look good enough. And enjoy it
Hey man! Your videos are great! Could you make one showing how to create moving ears (like a bunny with long ears that move as he walks/jumps). Thanks.
Love the tutorial. I’m getting better with the “random” sculptures like your grass platform technique, but when I try to make something precise like your long path, I fail miserably. How did you create the path in this vid?
Thank you for watching, glad that you enjoyed it! :) The path is just another sculpt put over it and I actually did it in the same way as the landscape but you can for example stretch a cube or a sphere very look and softblend it with other shapes, subtract again until it's clean/good enough for you!
What do you think is the best way to control your imp? I'm currently using the joysticks without any motion control but idk if the others would be more beneficial or not.
Thank you for watching, glad that you enjoyed it! ^^ The path is just another sculpt put over it (you can do it in the same way as making the landscapes ^^)
So I got this game yesterday and I was doing the quests in the home space and I was doing the one that you have to delete stuff and I already deleted all the stuff and can’t pass the quest someone help
Another great video👍 Could you do some hard surface modelling, concentrating on the grid, I find that tool super confusing and can never get my elements to line up easily 😭
Thank you so much! This was really helpful and I will be referencing it for some time. My issue with sculptures is when you switch to subtract mode. Let's say after using subtract mode you want to move a section of your sculpture... well when you move that piece it reverts back to it's original shape without the subtract elements following it. Do you have to like group those together or am I doing something wrong?
Thank you, I'm glad that the tutorial was helpful to you! Usually you can only subtract in the edit mode of one sculpture and if you subtract something it will add a shape that is invsible until you hover over it, if you move the normal sculpt in edit mode away from the invisble subtract sculpt then it will go back to normal but usually you only have to press L1 + Circle to get out of the edit mode and then you can move your sculpture as you subtracted it!
Yea i just loved when i got through the tutorials only to find this frustrating anomoly with the cutouts and mirror centers. Trying to use mirrors mode during cutouts to make a sharp point with the imp drifting and camera position changes messing it all up. Fun times :)
i can also sample terrains or certain types of trees lets say for example from other players and just drop them into my world seamlessly by chance??? same with character avatars from other peoples? just wanna use place holder type assets from other ppl at first potentially
Yes, every asset that is remixable in the Dreamiverse (there's a lot) you can just use for your own levels, same with characters, effects and a lot more! :)
Hi Sakku! So I haven't bought Dreams yet, and I'm wondering, is there a thermometer system the same as Little Big Planet? (On case you don't know, the thermometer in Little Big Planet was a way to measure how big your world was getting. It would heat up when your level got too big, or had too much logic or detail.) Thanks for any response!
What controller do you use. Just bought this with my son and the camera is a bit wild. Do you use the move controllers or the pad? Great video keep them coming.
I use the Dualshock but it's also great with move controllers once you got into them, it's really just a matter of practice with the movements! I also recommend you to check out my top 10 beginner tips =)
Whenever I choose a new option (like paint mode) everything goes black and white for me and I can’t see my grass. It’s getting so frustrating! I try zeroing in on it with L1 and X but it only lets me sculpt; I can’t choose the paint option. Any tips? 😓

Can I make horror games on dreams. Also is dreams free or does it cost money. I'm so hyped
just bought the game today playing for first time and tbh im just happy i got one piece of floor on the ground in my homespace lmaooo; now watchin this to learn more.
Enjoy your journey! :)
Thank you very much I love the video
People don’t realize how easy it is to make a game here and how hard some people hard it in the past I honestly think this is more than a game this is a business
still, you're making a game that only exists within a different game and is limited by that game's visual tools (the whole fuzzy voxel thing)
Don't get me wrong, this is still amazing, but if you wanna make actual games, you can also very easily do so on your own now, compared to the past, with free tools like unity and blender. Not as easy as this, yes, but much more versatile and you can, well, actually sell your standalone game
Great explained, thank you!
Happy to have helped! :)
Crazy, I just watched this video 4 or 5 hrs ago and I just now randomly found the deer in the forest picture youade. I found that Increadibly ironic
Haha that's cool, I hope you liked my Moonlight Forest, I also made a behind the scenes of it here on my channel :)
Is this only available on PlayStation?? Any chance this going to windows 10 or ios???
Screw Blender!!!!
Owen McCafferty Media Molecule said it’s only PlayStation and won’t be going onto any other platform.
Screw Blender? Grow up
Yes it's a Playstation exclusive and it might stay like this but I definitely agree with you, I worked with C4D before and holy Dreams is sooo much better.. so much faster & way more fun! ^^
Maybe through playstationnow but by the time that happens why not get a used ps4 ? You can probably get one for around 100 to 150 if you look good enough. And enjoy it
@@SakkusMind I mean the cover says only on playstation
Real legends watch after 3 years
The path is just another sculpt put over it and I actually did it in the same way as the landscape but you can for example stretch a cube or a sphere very look and softblend it with other shapes, subtract again until it's clean/good enough for you!
Simply dream.
I want this game so much
Edit: I bought it
This was a big help to me. Thanks.
Thank you for watching, glad it helped you! =)
Again..awesome 😃
Thank you! :)
Great vid 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Thanks a lot! :)
Please make a video explaining counter and timer gadgets
What do you think is the best way to control your imp? I'm currently using the joysticks without any motion control but idk if the others would be more beneficial or not.
I definitely recommend to stick to the motion controls, it will be quite hard to get used to in the beginning but it will be worth it! =)
Thanks Sakku for the Video! It would be cool If you could make a video for character sculpting.
Thanks for watching! Also yes I'll definitely make a video about character creation soon =)
Well I'm buying dreams right now
Enjoy dreaming! =)
@@SakkusMind hard controls to get used to tho but I will bro tanks for the awesome vid!
I just want to create myself with the avatar gang and play with them and being a water bender
Thank you for the great tutorial! If I may ask - how did you make the path at 10:38?
Thank you for watching, glad that you enjoyed it! ^^
The path is just another sculpt put over it (you can do it in the same way as making the landscapes ^^)
Could you do a video on how you can access other people’s tutorials online in steps
If you don’t mind could you add a mini screen where we can see what buttons you are pressing on your controller and time stamps too if u want :)
Controller layout might be hard but time stamps are a good idea, will have that in mind :)
Please make more of these :)
I'll definitely do, thanks for the feedback :)
So I got this game yesterday and I was doing the quests in the home space and I was doing the one that you have to delete stuff and I already deleted all the stuff and can’t pass the quest someone help
You rule.
Another great video👍 Could you do some hard surface modelling, concentrating on the grid, I find that tool super confusing and can never get my elements to line up easily 😭
Hey, thanks for watching my videos! I'll soon have a video up on architecture using the grid maybe that can help you :)
Fun times :)
jealous of how well you can control the camera lol
Don't worry you will get there with enough practice! ^^
0:48 My start fresh section only has new element or scene and new dream ?? 👀 how did you unlock all that?!?!?!?
Thank you Sakku I’m going to watch this when I get home right away.
I hope that the tutorial was able to help you! =)
This would be really helpful....
If I could figure out how to move my imp.
i can also sample terrains or certain types of trees lets say for example from other players and just drop them into my world seamlessly by chance??? same with character avatars from other peoples? just wanna use place holder type assets from other ppl at first potentially
I love you Sakku
Uhmm.. thanks I guess! :D
Any tips? 😓
This is just an option you can turn on or off in the preferences go the visual feedback and set it to none! :)
Sakku's Mind ahhhh I feel dumb. Thank you!
When I do the step at 5:10 it just makes everything grayscale. Is there a fix to this?
Thank you for the tutorial
Thank you for watching :)
Do you know of any ways to recreate third person shooter mechanics and charge jumping?
When i go into sculpture mode everything turns grey and I can't see what I'm doing, do someone know how to remove this?
go to my preferences, then dreamshaping, then set visual feedback to minimal
Hey sakku, do you take tutorial requests?
Yes definitely, I already have a list of tutorials I wanna do so feel free to hit me up with some you would like to see! ^^
I wanna see how to make a very beautiful ocean complete with sea foam and such like shells and seaweed, that's all. Thank you! : D
