I'm glad Wakana is doing fine with her SOLO I'm happy for her, she is a wonderful artist!

I think the way this song was written was for all the voices that sang it at the beginning. It sounds kinda empty with Wakana's isolated vocals. If she had sang it in a different style, rather than step-by-step exactly like in the original, it would have been a different take and accessible by its own terms. She didn't make it her own. Her vocals were not powerful or dynamic enough for me to carry the song solo. Fuller instrumentation and more varied vocals would have sold it for me.
Totally agree to this especially the part about singing this song in a different style. The only difference w/ the original was the instrumentation which unfortunately, for me, ruined the song. I didn't like that piano arrangement then Wakana sticking to how she used to sing this song with the other two. It just didn't match. She could have done a more solemn version because Wakana and piano has always been a match made in heaven, not just on this one
This proves that it was never Wakana's voice that made Kalafina's songs great. It was all the other elements that Yuki Kajiura arranged AROUND her voice that made the songs magical -- Keikos & Hikaru's harmonies + the instrumentations + the Kajiurago such as Hanae Tomaru in this song. I find this rendition of Oblivious very arrogant; to strip the entire song bare naked until only Wakana's flat voice remains. She wayyy overestimated herself. Then she goes on stage and shows the world how forgettable she is on her own. Ouch.
Such strong words 😬 but yes i didn't enjoy this performance too. I love her but just... i just don't like how this song was arranged. No matter how much i listen to this

グループ解散から色々な意見が飛び交ってたけど、どんな形であれwakanaさんの歌声、歌う姿は本当に素晴らしいです。このソロだって解散がなかったら聞く機会は無かったかもしれないものだと思うから変化って必ずしも悪いものでは無いと感じます。昔ファンブックを読んで感動した、持った才能とそれをずっと努力で磨き続ける姿勢が大好きです。これからも応援しています。

当日、ライブて見たけど、武部さんのアレンジがかっちょいい！
梶浦さんぽくない雰囲気で、かといって曲の雰囲気を壊してなくて、新鮮だった。
私もKalafinaは惜しいけど、少しだけ他の曲も武部バージョン聞いてみたい。
ひかりふるも歌っていたけど、これ程一人で完成形と同じレベルで素晴らしいのはWakanaの努力の賜物だね

For me, this arrangment lose the special exotic feeling of oblivious.
It does, but for me it replaces it with something lighter and more gentle. They both still capture that mysteriousness very well though.
