It might sound weird, but I am a retired veteran and wanted to say thank you for hanging the flag. Over the last few years it has become popular to burn it, stomp on it, spit on it, or any one of a million different disrespectful actions. 2nd Gen but love the USA more than many whose families have been her for multiple generations and don’t care? We need more who love and respect the country like you do.

I might not agree with the direction this country is heading but I love this country and my roots. This country gave me a great life... a life that many don't cherish because they don't know how bad it can be when you are outside of USA borders.

New shop looks awesome! Word of warning from metal/wood worker with first hand experience:
Be wary of the cheap power bars. Had one melt down in my wood shop. That could have been a disaster, but I got very lucky.
Second. With doing grinding on metal and wood, PLEASE, cover all your wall plugs!!!!! I had metal dust from my chopsaw and grinding accumulate on the tops of the wall plates and plug heads. It arc'd in one socket and smoldered away over night. Again, luckily, It just smoldered and scorched the painted ply walls and melted the plug. VERY LUCKY!!!
So, what I did to keep the dust from settling on the sockets and plugs was to cut 'flaps' about 6x6" out of vinyl tarp material. I pinned the top edge of these above the sockets. They sort of form an awning that flops over the plugs when plugged in and hangs down to fully cover sockets when nothing is plugged in.
I really can't stress enough how dangerous this little considered hazard is. My shop is detached from my house. And given yours is in your family home, it's a thousand times more important. It's cheap and easy to do and takes not time at all. I'm no Safety Suzy, but given I could have lost my everything, it's a valuable lesson I pass on to fellow metal/wood workers when I can. Hope you read this and take my advise.
    Best wishes
    Bert

And if i may make another suggestion for when you have the garage door up. Having some full width screen panels or a curtain to go across the garage door opening. Keeps thieving eyes from scoping out all your tools. Something 6' tall or so would do the trick so you still get light and airflow over the top. :)

Amazing as everything else you've done. One of my spring projects is to gut my shop and give it a makeover, like 3rd time.
I wish there were "designers" for shops like there are home interior magicians. I'd pay good money for results like that. I am amazing at turning out projects while leaving a disaster behind which is why you've always been an inspiration for the results you've achieved with the tools you've had. This is why I couldn't be happier for you and the new space. I'd buy a ticket for a chance to buy one of your pieces any day! but I know, you get that a thousand times a minute.

You deserve this shop..,love the fold away polisher/buffer. I have several and they take up a lot of bench real estate. Lots of other nice practical touches.

I would've spent the money for shelves and other things on a new sander and anvil and mounted them both to a tree stump!🤣 Congrats on your new digs!

Tely, Congratulations on your new home and workshop. Can't think of anyone more deserving, the shop looks awesome. I'm sure your neck is very happy, LOL. I'm looking forward to more great videos showcasing your creativity and skill. Best wishes!

Hey Tely, I'm anxiously waiting more videos, selfishly, they are just sooo relaxing and informative. It is amazing to see the beautiful knives you make without the many thou- sands of $'s of tools other builders have that lack the quality and beautiful attention to detail of your work. I hope you & your family are enjoying your new home.

I love how your passion is going into a mindful process, making your knife-shop step-by-step. Also the coloring is nice and calm, I really like it! Hope this will bring a lot of nice time working there, I’m happy you can follow your love-making and bring it to higher level, especially knowing how accurate and pedantic you are with your knifes were made in pretty rough conditions, I’m sure this will definitely improve! It’s cool you also made a space saving by installing rotate polishing machine on the flipping desk, thats when skills in small premises find their best ways :)) It’s pretty a lot things to do by one man a son! You did great! Overall, all the best, только прошу тебя, пожалуйста, береги себя! Хотя бы не таскай тяжести в одиночку.

Love the new shop. The belt hangers are very inventive. I think I’ll copy it for my 2 x 72 belt’s.
