Spawn #8 In Heaven (January 1993)

Billy Kincaid returns for a tour of Hell. We learn lots about the underworld as Violator's brother, Vindicator - one of the five Phlebiac Brothers - introduces Billy to his new life. We learn about the Hellspawn costume being sentient for the first time when we are introduced to K3-Myrlu. The issue ends with an army of Hellspawn and Malebolge or is it Malebolgia? What can you say other than, "Caca happens?"

Being a talented artist which Todd is and being a talented writer are two different skills sets.When writing a movie and writing comics books story is another different type of skill set, it's rare to find someone that would possess that type of skill level on both end of the spectrum. Stan Lee a hell of a writer but he couldn't draw like Steve Ditko or Jack Kirby could do, now Steve could write well enough but he wasn't no Stan Lee or Dan Slott .

And he does a great job of taking young writers and artist under his wing, teaching them the craft, them letting them go to do their own thing. He's got a great eye for talent and then making that talent better.
