Curse of the Spawn #24 Overt-Hell (September 1998)

Pandemic is called in to stop Overt-Kill's rampage. Most of this comic looks at Pandemic's history and origins. At the very end Overt-Kill makes and appearance where Pandemic tricks Overt-Kill into destroying the prison built to contain Pandemic.

Where does the next appearance of Overt-War occur? I found a mention online that it’s the last.

I can't remember right off the top of my head when he shows up again. I'm wanting to say it's very soon or a LONG time before he makes another appearance. And when he shows back up - he doesn't go by Overt-War, he's Overt-Kill. I remember the disappointment of realizing the new name didn't stick - it feels like a defining moment and ends up on the cutting room floor. Keeping with the new name would have been fun, but I'm guessing they kept the original due to marketing or something. One of the things I've loved about the current Spawn run of the last few years is seeing Todd bring characters like Overt-Kill back into the story.

Todd says he's only going to do it if he gets to direct it. That's why nobody will give him money to make the movie - he's never directed before and that last Spawn movie was kind of iffy. He needs to talk with Jordan Peele or see what Chris Rock is doing after Saw. I'd settle for Snyder but no Whedon. Although I still prefer Gunn's fun to Snyder's grander vision.

yes I heard that as well. Todd is a busy man. (spawn universe) He can still produce it and make the spawn vision true. Jordan and Chris is kool but Snyder movies has that 90's image comics feel in 2021. Yes Gunn is dope I agree. Thx for reply and your love comics I really appreciate it. peace
