    Hi - this is a great tip I didn't realize I needed. Could I ask you something? I was pulled in here because of your use of the Shift + Alt combo. I thought Shift + Alt was used while clicking in the arrangement window to place the cursor, which is something I am desperately trying to accomplish. The problem is when I press Alt I start drawing events instead.

      I don't think there's a function for this specifically, I'll have to check. But you can use Shift + P and type in the location. Or just click the timeline ruler to set the location, depending on what the grid settings are will determine how it snaps (which can also be turned off)

      @@PoundSound Hi - thanks foy getting back to me :P it required a custom shortcut I have since learned. For anyone interested:
      Edit > preferences > editing > tool modifiers > select tool, now add the short cut alt+shift to 'set cursor position'.
