Agree with @grobinson...your presentation is the key. You approach your videos like a teacher and not a salesman. Just found your site. Looking forward to checking it out. Thank you for your hard work.
So someone said I could choose in preference, use previous track color plus one to auto color the tracks but that's not working. I have it tracks folder tracks mixed console tracks everything selected down below but it doesn't work..
My bad! There are two ways, in preferences just click "Save" to save current settings as a preset, or - just to the right of "delete" theres check box, if you check this you'll be able to choose specific preference settings to be saved.
@ man you are fast your channel is amazing I just subscribed! Thanks for the work you are doing! Please do a new video for C 14 on the customized theme
thanks for this video! can you tell me if there's a way to make track icons look as logic pro? the images I use as custom icons looks very smaller and it would be better if they fit in the track number square
With the track pictures box checked in the mixer settings, hover the mouse over the top edge of the track picture box, you’ll be able to grab it and scale it to increase the size, although there is a limit.
Two things; 1 - For Track, Channels , Events; * Go to Project > Project Colour Setup > "Save colour set as Default" - save the project then open it on the other machine. Go back to the same menu and repeat the same step. This will set the new colour palette as the default for the current project and any new projects moving forward. * If you want older projects to use the same colour palette - Project > Project Colour Setup > "Reset Colour Set to Default" (as we set it as the new default previously) - If you want to revert back to Steinberg's original palette, choose "Reset Colour Set to Factory Settings" 2 - For everything else (like in the video) you'll need to save it as a Preference; * Edit > Preferences (windows) or Cubase > Settings (Mac) - at the bottom left you'll see "Preference Presets" and to the right "Save", "Rename", "Delete" and a check box "Save marked preferences only" * If you want to save ALL settings as a preference just choose "Save" , If you only want to save specific things (like your colours) check the box too and you'll see the Preferences panel will change allowing you to check specific settings you want to save. * Once saved you'll go to the Root directory of Cubase: \Users\\AppData\Roaming\Steinberg\\Presets\Configurations (windows) or /Users//Library/Preferences//Presets/Configurations (Mac) and copy the .xml file over onto the other machine in the same location. * On the new machine go back to the Preference menu in Cubase and click the down arrow next to Preference Presets and you should be able to see it.
After updating to Cubase Pro 13, the track icons at the very beginning are displayed in black. This is not normal and apparently cannot be changed in the settings. In all tutorials, the track symbols are also displayed in white. Does anyone know why this happens?
On the most recent update they changed the default from white to dark for symbols along with some other subtle differences in the mixer to make it less contrasted. I've not checked to see if these can be changed, yet.
Cubase Pro 13.0.41 Build 256 (x64): Editor Area Background Colors and Editor Cycle Region Colors are broken. Cycle region is not synced with the Project Area Cycle Region. Followed your process exactly but could not see the same results. I saw on some older forums where this was an issue with some of the earlier versions. Anyone else seeing this?
I just got the cubase 13 pro recently and Simon says I'm supposed to be able to automatically color tracks with a track and mix console Channel colors by selecting use previous track color plus one and selecting tracks folder tracks and mixed console channels, but it doesn't have any effect on my Windows machine
I Have Been Trying To Find a Way To Make The Audio Waveform Black NOT The Color Of What You Make The Track Color You Use To Be a Box That You Could Check Mark In Cubase 5 But It Is No Longer There Thanks For The Video
To adjust Audio Event Waveform settings go to. CUBASE ➡ Settings (for preferences) ➡ Event Display ➡ Audio I've done a Cubase 12 video on this here: studio.ua-cam.com/users/videoq7Ik3JuahkA/edit
@@PoundSound Thanks But That Works In The Time Line But When You Dubal Click And Open The Event And Is Opens In The Editor There Is NO Way To Change The Color There It Is The Same Color That You Make The Track Color Thanks Though
Ahh! I understand what mean now. When I get chance i’ll check to see if there's a setting that's moved (not at the desk now) - Off the top of my head, I don't recal seeing an option for this though.
Weird In With My Mac OS Ventura Cubase 13 Under STUDIO There Is No Preferences With Mac There Is No Preferences In Cubase 13 At All Any More Is Called Settings Now
Those burred fader caps horrid and Cubase will not listen. The 3d effect does not work for me, It is like looking at 3d without the glasses. Look at the Cubase 12 faders and you would see what i mean. In Cubase 12 the fader caps were perfect. Get the designers on it Steinberg!!! Sharpish lol.
⚠️ TWO MINOR ERRORS ‼️ (Whoops)
1. Floating Colour menu ➡ ALT (Option) + SHIFT + C (not ctrl)
2. MacOS Prefs go to CUBASE ➡ Settings (for preferences)
We all forgive you. 🎹♥️
I believe that aside from Greg Ondo, himself you may be my favorite source for Cubase related content, due to your presentation style.
Thank you.
Thank you!

For me, you can go longer if you want! The video seems to go so quick with the way you present things and I love it. Thanks for this!
Ahh, 24 years on Nuendo and I never knew shift would give the color picker crosshairs. Nice!
Great video! ❤
Wow, thanks for watching Dom! ✌️
Wow! Right to the point . Thanks for an exceptional video! I learned a lot!
Vielen Dank. Genau dies hab ich lange gesucht. Sehr gut erklärt
I saw the other guys tutorial video on the same thing. All good info. Cubase handles colours in a strange way
they jacked up the background channdel in the mixer!! So much harder to track with it just outlining the color behind the faders
I have mixer colours turned off permanently now because it hurts my brain.
Dayum, this was an excellent tutorial.
Wow. This saves a lot of time. I had manually typing in colors for the sake of consistency. Damn.
Very Helpful Cheers !
Very helpful, thanks
Extremely useful video, thank you!
Very helpful! Thank you!!
Great video PoundSound!, you earned my like and subscription!
you're the number 1
thank you so much.
Do you suggest me some cubase color palette?
Beautiful Tutorial Thank you

how can I change the Outline color of a selected midi track. i have Nuendo and its RED...ugh
Thank you for the video. What video editing software are you using for your videos? Cheers
Thank you for watching! Im using Davinci Resolve Studio
Can you change the colour of the vertical play position line ?
You can't change the play cursor colour, but you can change the grid lines of the project window.
Not this is something I never knew, and I thought I knew Cubase inside and out😮
How do you export the color palette? so I can import into my other computer? Thanks
Two things;
1 - For Track, Channels , Events;
* Go to Project > Project Colour Setup > "Save colour set as Default" - save the project then open it on the other machine. Go back to the same menu and repeat the same step. This will set the new colour palette as the default for the current project and any new projects moving forward.

2 - For everything else (like in the video) you'll need to save it as a Preference;
* Edit > Preferences (windows) or Cubase > Settings (Mac) - at the bottom left you'll see "Preference Presets" and to the right "Save", "Rename", "Delete" and a check box "Save marked preferences only"
* If you want to save ALL settings as a preference just choose "Save" , If you only want to save specific things (like your colours) check the box too and you'll see the Preferences panel will change allowing you to check specific settings you want to save.
* On the new machine go back to the Preference menu in Cubase and click the down arrow next to Preference Presets and you should be able to see it.
no such thing as Studio > Prefences on Mac, it's Cubase > Settings
I know, didn't catch it until after uploading. But did add it in the description along with another small error :o)

Did you manage to make the whole Cubase look (color) in the color of the new mixer? I can only make it dark gray, but never black.
Nope. Can't be done
@@PoundSound Damn, hopefully it will come with one of the next updates or versions. Thank You. ^^

Well explained &The fart timing lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
how to colour tracks, or events
An older video on how...: ua-cam.com/video/EY7vTwQElsY/v-deo.html
Please tell us the easier way to change 'Project Background Area' instead of adjusting the numeric values...
I literally show you how do this in the video.
has that not always been there?
Anything after 9.5 I know it's in there, but not sure about earlier versions.

Not paying to CHANGE COLOURS, That isn't an upgrade. It is a CON!
Why?
