If I were to do a sort of international Pokédex, I would make it so every Pokémon is grouped together depending on similarities, like Oddish, Bellsprout, Budew, Smoliv and other grass lines would be next to each other, regardless of the region

I recently replayed the game from square one, and the first Pokémon that came to my camp was a shiny.

i understand the game being overloaded with pokemon would be a concern but we have pokemon go all pokemon dont have to be catchable in these games

I made so many special ambrosia soups that i got 33 mewtwos (two of which were shiny) 8 zapdos 9 moltres and 6 articunos before i got my first mew.

Update: The Chinese version of this game is scheduled to have its servers shut down on 10th of February 2025 and the game is no longer available for download. I was gonna download it after seeing this video but found this in an article on a chinese oriented news site. What a shame that only a minority of people got to enjoy it while it was still here ❤

Caught a shiny Rhydon that I named Jaus. Evolved him and made him a physical beast. Doesn't have Solid Rock but I can make it work. Already got the other ribbons, and beat Palmer once. I think once I bring over my Sapphire team it'll be doable.

Fun fact: My luck is so bad, I played from Blue to Alpha Sapphire before I found my first random shiny Taillow. Of course, I got the red Gyarados and my friend traded me a shiny Cradily when I was younger, but actually finding one took me 16 years, 6 generations and countless hours. I had almost 400 hours on my Sapphire save alone.

I made my own reordered pokedex because of this video, and I have a few opinions about it. -I put regional forms that are a whole separate line into the region they're actually from. This works well for Alola, where the regional dex uses the same order as the national dex (for example, if you ignore old pokemon, the lines for the first section after the starters go Pikipek, Yungoos, A-Rattata, Grubbin, A-Meowth, A-Grimer, Crabrawler, A-Diglett, Oricorio,) but not so well for Galar, where Obstagoon comes before Wooloo in the regional dex but gets put in the "cross-regional-evo group" over halfway into the natdex's Galar section. I'll admit I mostly went on vibes for these, but I like to think it makes sense. -Hisuian pokemon are in Sinnoh. They're vaguely organized by geographic location, relative to the "path" of the modern dex. -In addition to the Nidorans, I also merged Volbeat/Illumise and Latios/Latias. The bugs can lay eggs of either gender the same way Nidoran can, and the Eons almost certainly would if they could. -I disagree with moving 'mons like Sudowoodo, Kecleon, and all the fossils to the end. They're ordered by when you can catch them, it just happens that in Kanto, that's not until Cinnabar and almost everything else is already unlocked. I even toyed around with moving Snorlax, Eevee, Ditto, and Lapras earlier, but it created too much confusion. I did move Gible to the end of Sinnoh, though. -Speaking of the end of Sinnoh: Phione is off with H-Qwilfish and W-Basculin by the coast, but the rest of it goes Snover, H-Zorua, Gible, Rotom (totally deserves it IMO. Charon had it in his journal. It's like Volcarona or Gholdengo in that it would be pseudolegendary if that term didn't already mean an ultra-specific thing. [Both of those are after their respective proper pseudos too, actually.]) Uxie, Mesprit, Azelf, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina. Then Heatran and Manaphy, Cresselia and Darkrai, Shaymin, and finally Arceus. -And then Victini. F--- you, Victini number zero! Sinnoh ends with Arceus because it began from Arceus. It looks like Victini is trying to one-up that. -Goomy is moved between Bergmite and Noibat. -I always liked that Sylveon was pokedex number 700. It felt appropriate for the Main Pokemon of the New Type to get a big milestone like that. Obviously Sylveon isn't there anymore, but Flabebe happens to be in that same spot, and I'm happy about that. -Carbink : Diancie :: Phione : Manaphy. Not moving it. XYZDHV all the way. -Alola has a sort of mini-region within itself, Ultra Space, which I fully moved to the end. Alola Proper ends with Silvally, the Tapu, Magearna, Marshadow, and Zeraora, then basically the whole idea of a region plays out in miniature: Starters (Poipole), normal pokemon (most of the UBs), "boss" pokemon (Guzzlord, as you pointed out), Legends (Cosmog's line and Necrozma), and Mythicals (Meltan and Melmetal, which aren't from Ultra Space, but are from an alternate universe - ours!) -As previously stated, Galar's ordering is a mess. I prefer not to think about it. I think Dipplin, Hydrapple, and Archaludon are now some of my least favorite pokemon, just because of how awful they are to think about when using this dex alongside the canon one. -DLC screws everything up too. Did you know that Galarian Slowpoke wasn't available in the original Gen 8 games? It's in the Isle of Armor Pokedex! I didn't even know there was an Isle of Armor Pokedex! -In this video you moved Gholdengo up over 50 spots so it could be number 1000. I'm not doing that. Take a look at the pokemon you moved away: Kilowattrel. It's just perfect! In fact, before I even checked, Kilowattrel was number 1002. Just swap it with Bellibolt and I'm good. -(until the next time a new pokemon related to an old one gets added. then I'm screwed.) -P-Wooper comes after Pawmi and P-Tauros comes after Shroodle. I don't remember why. -P-Tauros is only counted once. I could be convinced to change this, as I admittedly don't know much about it. -Poltchageist comes after Tatsugiri because I don't really have anywhere else to put it. -After that, Frigibax, Gimmighoul, the treasures of ruin, the normal past paradoxes, the normal future paradoxes (this includes RM and IV), Koraidon, Miraidon, the paradox Beasts, the paradox Swords, Ogerpon, the Lousy Three, Pecharunt, and finally Terapagos, at number 1079.
