I can't wait until a less invasive surgery for this is available! It's a horrible feeling to be told it looks like cancer and, have thyroid surgery and it's not cancer. So many people have had so many complications from having this surgery and they are going through so much with parathyroid damage voice box damage and paralysis issues seizures etc. Praying with technology safer less invasive options become available soon!
My biopsy results were conclusive the very next day for indeterminate follicular cells on 2 of my 5 nodules. One nodule is 2.7, the rest are smaller. Waiting for referral for ENT to follow up. Hoping I don't lose the other half of my thyroid, as I've already had a partial thyroidectomy 20 years ago. Thank you for the information. Hoping it is not indeterminate again after further testing! 🙏🏼
Such an excellent video that gave great insight to my journey
Hello! I have 5 nodules total. I have 2 nodules on my isthmus. I’ve read that isthmus nodules are more prone to be cancer.
good one
Both my ultrasound and biopsy came back highly suspicious . What is my risk of actual cancer?
Any chance that someone can answer a question before I waste my time entering it?..thks..jc
Hello Doctors and thank you! I had a 1/2 cm nodule that was suspicious for intrathyroid parathyroid adenoma. Had right side thyroid lobectomy and pathology said no parathyroid tissue! What does that mean?
I got a 70% possible positive for cancer
Could it still be benign?
My endocrinologist recommended surgery but I’m still a little nervous about it
I had the thyroyseq test
Only 30% of chance why would you wanna take this risk?
@@ricardorodriguesrr18 I actually already had the surgery, an it’s follicular carcinoma stage 2
@@krispandorf889 glad to hear it went alright. Which size ?
@@ricardorodriguesrr18 3.0 cm
@@krispandorf889 my mom has 0.5cm nodule she needs to go through the genetic test now .
To bad these tests cost thousands of dollars if you have a deductible, southing I wasn't aware of until it was too late!! 149 is not nearly enough patients to really evaluated the accuracy of any test.
