- Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb talk with Ray Martin of Channel 9, from their Sydney hotel at the start of their "One for Australia" tour. They talk about visiting their old haunts in Sydney, such as Bronte Beach (near Bondi Beach) and their plans to visit sites significant to the family in Queensland. They also had relatives and old friends to catch up with, and were looking forward to being on stage again. Enjoy!

I love the fact that The Bee Gees always had a great sense of humor during interviews no matter how good or bad the questions was they would find a fun answer. They always had a smile.

They were all very intelligent, and well spoken. They explained everything with grace and humor.
I know the disco phase went out of vogue and hasn't really ever come back, but that aside the songs they wrote during that time were pretty incredible.

So true. Only the Bee Gees were banned from radio for too long. The music industry did the world such a disservice with that. Cannot help but wonder whose toes they accidentally stepped on to be treated so horribly.

Congratz! You found it :-) I also heard Andy was going to be a part of this album.
Besides being so awesomely talented, they were witty, nice, and down to earth. At times, they made me think of the way my three brothers were (only two now) with the ribbing, giggling, pointing out something the other one left out, etc.

You can tell that they, especially Barry, was really trying to hide sheer utter sorrow when talking about Andy. I still, to this day, wonder what it would’ve been like had Andy actually had a second chance and live and really finally be the 4th Bee Gee like he was supposed to be for this album before he died. They would’ve made fantastic music and been incredible imo.
I honestly don’t know what Andy would have added. Their harmonies could not have been improved upon and he would have expected a share of lead vocals. Realistically, that would have meant fewer leads for Robin which would not have been a good trade.
Would've loved to have seen Andy join the group.🎼
@@beeharbour maybe. It does make sense even the one time when they performed live, Andy didn’t even go near Robins mic but shared one with Barry or Maurice throughout the performance. That was pretty deep. And Barry did say he and Robin were always competing but Barry was always the more versatile singer even when Robin sang Bee Gees songs solo he couldn’t handle most of Barry’s parts without turning to a background singer or singing in an octave way lower. Still I think it would’ve been nice for sentiment and aesthetics

Потому что у него нет зависти, нет чувства неполноценности. Он очень хорош собой, очень обаятельный и он это прекрасно о себе знает.
Проблема очень многих интервьюеров в том, что они часто просто ненавидят своих знаменитых гостей из зависти к ним и постоянно пытаются их уколоть и разозлить. Как, например, Клайв Андерсон. Он внешне очень неприятен, он это знает. И когда к нему приходят на интервью кумиры миллионов, он обращается с ними очень низко и подло!
