i feel like im required to be literally a rocket scientist at this point. i have the older 3dsxl model and figuring out what all i need to do is such a pain.
Felt the same way when I modded my wii. It starts to make more sense after you mod a couple of systems but I feel ya. Felt like a complete dumbo at first. Lastly I still have to watch guides when I mod systems just because it’s so many steps
It biggest pain in the thumb to mod was the OG Xbox. I had actually bought a book that taught how to do it. But of course, not long after they came out with a much simpler way to do it. Wii was an adventure in it's infancy as well. _Lots_ of swapping the SD card between the console and a PC.

The only difference is the guide was slightly different towards the end in terms of getting files, but otherwise the video really helped. ALL! for the browser hack around 6:00 where you scan the QR code, if your 3DS doesn’t go all wonky, make sure you are scanning the correct QR code! i accident bookmarked the ‘korea’ one and i kept getting an error when tapping GO GO PS if you aren’t in korea the link should end with /super
Absolute legend! Just got it working. For those struggling, please first make sure that your date and time is correct for your region. You CANNOT use any other region as it's locked, there's no option to change this unless it's already 'brewed. Also make sure you format your SD card to FAT32 first (backup on your PC and clean format if needed). Follow this dudes instructions to a tee and you'll be golden! Thanks again man. Subbed.
@TLAVTR Disk Management > find and click on your SD card/reader e.g (H:) under 'Volume' > check under 'File System' to see what format it is (may already be FAT32) > right click on the partition at the bottom and select 'Format' and select 'FAT32'. Even if it's already FAT32, I would just create a backup folder on your PC for the contents on your SD card and clean format it anyway as it will fix any issues with your SD card you may be unaware of. Also, may save you some trouble, but delete all the files you've downloaded and reinstall them to make sure everything correct as I had an issue with one of the files for some reason. After I redownloaded the file, it was all smooth sailing from there. Good luck!
@TLAVTR I'll keep an eye out! Also, the sweet spot is 32gb - any larger and your speeds will lag. I've got mine arriving any minute for amazon. Get on it if the prime day deals are still on where you're at 👌 Edit: 16gb - 32gb is sweet. Cap at 32gb though.

If you haven't figured it out yet, check 2 things. Make sure the date and time is set properly, and when you're clearing the cookies, press home before the "cookies deleted" message disappears, then you go back to the browser.
i stoped using the 3ds back in 2022, and when i came back this week i noticed some apps had updates, but i am ahving a hard time learning how to just update without having to do all over again
Sorry for the late reply but I've heard that homebrewing comes with the risk of bricking your console. You have to do these steps 100% correct with accuracy. I hope I'm wrong and you didn't brick you 2DS

@Manobaru if you're telling me your settings are correct, then the only other thing I can think of is that you need to try a different SD card. Preferably something a lot bigger than 4 GB.
@@BelowAverageGaming I got a 32GBs, no worries there. But I think I've located the problem. I tried to follow your suggestion of "fixing" something with region and time zone. Turns out the European version has to be specifically set to UK with the British time zone. Any other region didn't work. Unfortunately that's not described in the instructions per se, and I had to figured it out based on a screenshot. But yeah, it seems to be working now :)

If you go back to that part on the written guide, there is a download. If one of these buttons is broken, download config.ini and put it in your luma folder, replacing the existing one. This will change the Rosalina menu key combination to (X) + (Y)

Ok.. I'm to the Homebrew launcher screen. It was a pain, cause turns out, my time/date settings were off.. easy fix.. but my REGION was messed up too for the console.. and now done and done.
@@XanNoar I used a slightly different method to mod my 3DS today but it is possible to Mod a 3DS that is currently on the newest console software!! The method I used is like 80% the same as this method
At 6:36 (sorry if this has been asked a million times, I've tried to find answers on my own and it's making me frustrated at this point), what do you do when troubleshooting doesn't work? I've rooted the proper files, changed the date/time to match my system's region (it's a Japanese N3DS) to be on the safe side after local time (Canada) didn't work, followed the instructions perfectly up until that point, and still hit a wall with the browser hack (getting the black screen with white text). Everyone is making it look easy and I'm at my wit's end 😢
so, it looks like you should insert the SD into the 3ds/2ds (after FAT32 formatted) so it creates any 'usual' Nintendo 3DS folder/subfolders, before moving all the other things to the root of it?

Hey man just wanted to let you know that as of today this doesnt work anymore when you want to click the GO GO link it just sends you to the home menu with an error i have seen some other people on yt have the same problem as of this week and it sucks so i do hope when there is a fix for it you are gonna make a video about it Ps i have used a lot of youre past vids on how to homebrew all of them great so thanks for that, hopefully this gets a fix soon
I have a question do you first need to put ur 3ds sd card to your laptop to copy everything on it and then put in on the sd card that u are going to mod?
The GO GO part isn't working for me, I've already changed the time and date. When I do scan the QR Code to my corresponding region, bookmark the website, delete all cookies, return to home, and go back on the page to click on GO GO nothing happens. The only thing I see is 'text' for some reason. Please help also another question in the 'Nintendo 3DS' folder is there anything supposed to be there or is it blank?
I have this problem, but it doesn’t show “text” like yours. Go to the written guide in the description, I think it has to do with your model or something. The N3DS folder should have some gibberish files that you definitely should have on there, but nothing else should be in there.

it worked! But the 4 gb so card it came with already had luma 8 so I just continued it on that one

Update: I managed to get it to work after changing the language, deleting the bookmark and cookies - and then doing the browser process over again

Hey, I have a problem where when I'm in the internet browser, I get the pop up but then it just closes the browser and says that an error has occured, how do I fix this?

make sure your date and time are current, try to reset browser data from browser settings, or try and change your system language
omg thank you so much. this worked but there was a slight change to the website so i hade to read from there other than that i did the same thing. i took me 3 guides but i did it.

If you go back to that part on the written guide, there is a download.
If one of these buttons is broken, download config.ini and put it in your luma folder, replacing the existing one. This will change the Rosalina menu key combination to (X) + (Y)

Ok.. I'm to the Homebrew launcher screen. It was a pain, cause turns out, my time/date settings were off.. easy fix.. but my REGION was messed up too for the console.. and now done and done.

Look on the website and follow the finalization steps they changed it but it's really easy

@@XanNoar I used a slightly different method to mod my 3DS today but it is possible to Mod a 3DS that is currently on the newest console software!!
The method I used is like 80% the same as this method

At 6:36 (sorry if this has been asked a million times, I've tried to find answers on my own and it's making me frustrated at this point), what do you do when troubleshooting doesn't work? I've rooted the proper files, changed the date/time to match my system's region (it's a Japanese N3DS) to be on the safe side after local time (Canada) didn't work, followed the instructions perfectly up until that point, and still hit a wall with the browser hack (getting the black screen with white text). Everyone is making it look easy and I'm at my wit's end 😢
so, it looks like you should insert the SD into the 3ds/2ds (after FAT32 formatted) so it creates any 'usual' Nintendo 3DS folder/subfolders, before moving all the other things to the root of it?

I'm stuck where everyone else got stuck, only difference is that I fixed my date and time settings as well as region and it still says "please save your data in any software currently in use." Unsure of what to do now.

Hey man just wanted to let you know that as of today this doesnt work anymore when you want to click the GO GO link it just sends you to the home menu with an error i have seen some other people on yt have the same problem as of this week and it sucks so i do hope when there is a fix for it you are gonna make a video about it
Ps i have used a lot of youre past vids on how to homebrew all of them great so thanks for that, hopefully this gets a fix soon

The GO GO part isn't working for me, I've already changed the time and date. When I do scan the QR Code to my corresponding region, bookmark the website, delete all cookies, return to home, and go back on the page to click on GO GO nothing happens. The only thing I see is 'text' for some reason. Please help also another question in the 'Nintendo 3DS' folder is there anything supposed to be there or is it blank?
I have this problem, but it doesn’t show “text” like yours. Go to the written guide in the description, I think it has to do with your model or something. The N3DS folder should have some gibberish files that you definitely should have on there, but nothing else should be in there.
