The 1993 prize machine with the little robot Godzilla was just one of a series of similar cabinets!

Shockingly I was a Namco (Aladdin's Castle specifically) arcade attendant in Pennsylvania during the late 90s and had the privilege of not only playing this game but working on it a few times, as well as loading in prizes and, later, tickets.

As adorable as that game is, that ending was awfully grim. XD
I love getting to see these more obscure pieces of Godzilla memorabilia. I know that other tokusatsu franchises had arcade games. A video highlighting some of those (like with the Compati-Hero reviews) would be cool.

    • @eliskardaentertainment5066

To make the ending less grim, you can pretend that this little Godzilla was actually hungry and when you win and get all six ping pong balls and his mouth, he’s actually doing a happy dance!

2:38 hey we had that in arcades in Guadalajara (city in Mexico) I loved it, seasonal festivals and carnivals held at my hometown called Chapala which was 1 hour away from Guadalajara would also often have this on arcade stalls, which yes they were a thing, it was a small carp or tent that would have 4 to 5 arcade cabinets and 1 or 2 games on the same style as the godzilla jr game, I remember seeing this for the first time when I was like 6 and I completely lost it, I had to be dragged out by my dad because I didn't want to leave.

So glad you got to cover this. I remember playing this as a kid at an arcade in Lake Grove Long Island called Space Plex, and I think later at Sports Plus. I didn't even play it for tickets, I really loved when Godzilla did his little jig when you got the jackpot.
Also, I used to get this one confused with a game that Namco made a year later called "Belly Bomber" . Where a monster would move side to side and you used these "bombs" on sliders to throw into the monster's belly to attack him.
Awesome stuff as always MIB, you're always welcome to come play my Godzilla Pinball if you ever make it to Florida!

In 2000, my family vacationed to Florida for a week at a special foundation. They had a whole village to explore, including an arcade. It some typical arcade classics like Ms.Pac-Man as well as a not so typical game set up where it’s just a PS1 hooked up to a tv with a beanbag chair in front of it. However, the thing that caught my eye was the Godzilla Wars Jr cabinet. I only played it once and I’m pretty sure I never scored a single ball, but it’s stuck with me ever since. I loved that thing so much. Have never seen one in person since. Only ever seen it online in photos.
So I’m glad you covered this. This is such a nostalgic boot to the head for me.

A Godzilla railgun game, that sounds like a great idea, you could choose different mechs, a mecha version of zone fighter, resembling the guncannon heavy custom, the super x4 and battle some kaiju, there are some minor kaiju that serve as regular enemies. The plot is that an alien invasion is happening and that they have taken control the earth’s kaiju, but luckily, mothra and Godzilla haven’t been mind controlled, so you can play and unlock kaiju, the name for my idea is Godzilla: kaiju strike. This is not the first time someone has come up with this idea, and it hasn’t been used a lot, but I think something like this could work. What are your ideas?

When I was younger, I used to go to this skating rink in my town. It actually had (and I think still has) a Godzilla wars Jr. Arcade machine. Despite it being one of the more older arcade machines, it still looked and ran very well. I remember playing it a lot when I was there (never won though, the highest score I ever got was five I think). Haven't been to the skating rink in a while though, so I'm not really 100% sure if it's still there, still working well, stuff like that. Planning to go back to the skating rink soon, so hopefully it's still there and still working well

There used to be a big indoor amusement park in Shawnee, KS called PowerPlay (they only have one location left open in KCMO), and some of us would get to go there during middle school on a field trip each spring as an incentive for good behavior. I actually remember they had one of these when we came one year and, seeing as how middle school was when I first got into Godzilla, I was immediately enamored with it and played it. You're lucky to have one all your own!

I played it in 1992 or 1993 as a kid at the arcades in Rehoboth Beach. I remember it vividly because I won a ton of tickets and that themesong got stuck in my head. Years later I realized it was the godzilla theme, suite II. Like to this day I still associate it with Godzilla Wars Jr. Even during Minus One. Thanks for this

The irony that nowadays if those arcade games were to resurface, they would be Bandai-Namco games, fitting since Bandai has had a merchandising license for Godzilla for what seems like an eternity. Yeah, I'll admit that Chibi Godzilla was very cute indeed, but wait at the end there, were you going to feed him a mini Oxygen Destroyer?! You're evil! :D

This game is actually in a mall on my City, and it's still there even after like 10 years.
Althought the part to place a quarter was replaced with one to pass a card on (it's because the árcade in the mall doesn't use quarters, but a weird type of credit card that you pay to have points on, and spent those points on games, each game having a different amount of points to spent on).
I remember playing it a lot and having a lot of fun with it (sadly I have only scored 6 points ever like once lol).
Another funny thing is that I played it before I knew anything about Godzilla besides "giant angry radioactive lizard", so I thought Ghidorah was a random monster created for the background of the cabinet.

There was one at a "Sports Plus" (something like a Chuck E Cheese, or a Dave and Busters) near the mall where I used to live back up on Long Island. My friend at the time just described it as a Godzilla arcade game, so I thought it was a video game like the Godzilla fighting game advertised in Nintendo Power. Actually here’s a Question that you might know the answer to or might end up sending you spiraling down a Kaiju sized Rabbit hole of Research… What do you think the Prizes were in the Prize version of these machines? From the graphic on that Japanese one you showed with Mothra carrying what looks like a Gatchapon capsule I can assume they were little Gachapon toys or possibly candy. it was 16 years ago at the time of typing this comment, I was around 10 at the time and visited Niagara Falls with my family, we live in Canada so it wasn't hard to get there, I played this at the arcade at Cliffton Hill, I didn't wanna stop or leave, I would love to live in Niagara Falls Canada cause of Cliffton Hill attractions, anyway recently this year my boyfriend moved to Niagara Falls and so I visited him for a week and we went to some of the attractions I went to all those years ago including the arcade, it had expanded and had old cabinets and new, Ghost Blasters was still there but sadly under repairs when I visited, oh well next visit I guess, but when I searched for the Godzilla Wars Jr cabinet, I couldn't find it, so I asked an employee and they said they no longer have it, so I've been searching online but it's almost impossible to buy one now, I want one and I should have room in my apartment for it, if anyone can help me find a listing, please help

My local arcade used to have 2 of these back to back with a spinning jackpot marquee in the center. I only ever hit the jackpot once for 2500 odd tickets.

Great video MIB!!! Man, Namco really has some cool ideas when creating these arcade games, these look really fun!!!! Lucky you own one, mad respect!!! For some dumb reason my brother told me that back when we were little, during a trip to a chuck E cheese, he saw a Godzilla wars arcade game and i didn't believe him! Boy, i was dumb.

The music for the Godzilla Wars Jr game is surprisingly good from what little I hear of it.

I took glimpses of this game on the old arcade I used to go to as a kid, never got the chance to play it before they took it away, I remember loving the goji artstyle

I do remember playing this game in the arcade section of a go-kart place and oddly enough it was in the corner so I always knew where it was.

I've always got a strange sense of nostalgia seeing this machine in the background of your videos. I probably stumbled upon it as a child but I have huge gaps in my memories so who knows.

Holy crap: I actually played a Godzilla Wars game in Helsinki, Finland back in the late 90's. Specifically in an arcade located underground in Kaisaniemi (back when we had arcades. Tho there's some private/independent hobbyist ones like Sugoi Arcade). Not sure if it was the big one at beginning or more likely the Jr one that got released in the States too. Might have been when Kinopalatsi Cinema was established around in the same complex, tho that would be '98. The same complex also had two tabletop game stores for Warhammer and such when I first started dipping into the hobby myself, buying some White Dwarf magazines and a bunch of minis. Tho would take 'till early '10s when I would get back into it.

I actually played on this as a kid once. I think the place was called Discovery Zone or something like that. I recognized it immediately, haven't thought of it in forever. I miss the arcade, but I think I'm a little old for that now!

I freakin loved this game as a child! They had this at my local bowling alley in a separate room that was full of arcade games and this was the one I played the most. In fact this game was my first exposure to Godzilla 😃

I sadly cannot remember where I played this, but I know I was young enough to ti be right at eye level with Chibi Godzilla.
I loved the game and spent all my money on it when we went to this indoor park of some kind.
It had a roller coaster and everything. It’s a shame I can’t remember the place, but I think it had an animal or jungle theme
