Glad you like the look of the game. For this game, your time really was a drop in the bucket, if barely. 🙂 There are so many hidden controls and being a first person factory building game, they will be nice to have later. Reading the dialog on the screen will help you when trying to improvement placement/organization in the game. Yes, the 1.0 release of the game from years of early access to having the story line and end game added at launch in September is awesome. I do highly recommend going and and getting through a few more hours of game play to get a stronger feel of the game, of how to place and connect things, and get some of the learning part out of the way now, then when 1.0 drops, it will be worth the restart, enjoying the story line and also helping you think ahead a bit for your restart. This game is say 85% about factory building, 10% about exploration, and 5% about research, and every milestone you unlock, ever thing you find and research will reward you with either new things, new toys/tools, or better was to perform some work. Take a moment to look at while a milestone is rewarding/opening before you submit it... otherwise you'll miss several things you just got. 🙂 Have fun, and look forward to seeing these videos in the future!
@@ZwerginTDM Yes you are right, I should dive in a little more before 1.0 release! Thanks for the tips as well and I appreciate the kind words😊 Happy you enjoyed the video!
There's an arachnophobia mode in normal settings that replaces the spiders with 2D images of cats (which is terrifying in its own way); the advanced setting goes a step further and removes them completely. EDIT: Looks like you found the normal arachnophobia toggle
@@CynicalSwede they promised the full release before the end of the year but community updates are implying that release is weeks away possibly before summer vacation.
bit of a misconception, the map is static. All 4 starts are the same exact world, just different starting locations, and it doesn't change from one playthrough to the next. It's kinda helpful though because (at least before 1.0 drops) you can find community made maps of collectables and resource node locations.
Global Illumination very much worth it. Especially when you start getting into lighting your factories. Also...if you press space while mining or crafting, it will keep going without having to hold the button. You can even go make coffee if you really have to hand-make a bunch of stuff!
It makes it very pretty IF you build in-game lights for it, but a normal playthrough will be extremely dark inside buildings with Global Illumination on. The developers have said that it will not be a "supported" option, as in if you complain about dark areas they will tell you to turn GI off.
if u wanna craft stuff on the workbench just press space bar once and it will craft automatically and about that grass the whole map is hand drawn so there many issues like floating stuff
Unfortunately the 'guns' take quite a bit of progress. The game isn't really combat focused, but it is a positive element in the game in my opinion. Worth the progression for the more combat centric 'grenades' and of course the rifles, especially with some enemies being extra spicy. Most of the game is exploration and then deciding what to do with what you find. I hope you enjoy your time with the game, since the 'Version 1.0' is gonna drop sometimes this year (hopefully) and we'll get a lot more story/polish/immersion. That all being said: Warning, this game WILL eat your spare time if you let it :D
Oh yes I have a feeling it is quite good at eating free time. Seems like a good time tho so I don't mind! V 1.0 confirmed for this year? Sounds pretty cool can't wait to see what they add🤔
@@CynicalSwede Yeah man me too, Satisfactory has been one of those games that connected a lot of very diverse gamers with a new mix. I don't want to compare it with Minecraft but there's some echoing brilliance in it. It guides you, but rewards you for exploration in a hundred hard to describe ways. For me, it's right up there in my top 5 of replayability, top 10 overall. I think the fact that it doesn't initially feel like a top-down 'factorio builder' makes it a win, where you have to place things in first person, like you would if you really were on an alien planet. The immersion is the secret sauce for me on this game.
Dude try to be aware of the amount of swearing. It's one thing when you're angry, venting it is the purpose of them, but when it's soiling half the speech it's very grating. "Gonna fucking go fucking pick some fucking iron" like, bro... Are you perpetually mad or just don't notice?😅
It's how I talk. In my experience its very common to speak like this cause thats how many Swedes speak in Swedish too. English is not my first language😊
Det 1a jag tänkte också. Det va väl en jävla massa svordomar. 😉 I played this game almost every day for 1.5 years. Around 1400 hours. Very addictive. The game map is really big. Have small factories all over. Connected by roads, railways and drones. Then i started a new game. Have played around 400 hours. Not doing the mistakes from the first play. Now when i build a factory i first build a basement for all conveyor belts. Makes more space in the factory area. And when 1.0 comes i will start a new game again. Oh, i have 1 mod that i love. Called Linear motion. Gives you elevators. Even for trucks. Good luck and have fun! 🙂

So they're different. And 2d cats huh? Thats too funny might have to enable that😂
Aw when did they add the option to delete them? And offable hostility? I'm either blind or haven't played in a while 😅
@@Lilian040210 In the last major update, which I think was last autumn (northern hemisphere)? Along with all the other cheat options.
Arachnophobia mode on/off IS in the default settings the advanced settings one is to completely remove spiders rather than change their model.

FYI the full release version will be dropping soon. if you intend to play more you may want to restart when it drops.

I wish I enjoyed this game as much as Sanctum 2 ate my time🥲But my ADHD makes it impossible due to the whole managing and tasking part of the game 😢
@@Lilian040210 Ayyee Sanctum 2 mentioned🔥 How about playing Satisfactory w a buddy? Might help with the ADHD?
arachnophobia mode makes the spiders even scarier, if you ask me, turn it on and see what happens to the spider enemies ;).

It's not as much scary as it is unsettling. Never knew cats could be so uncomfortable 😂😅

I have a friend who said he is interested, so we might play some together onstream😊
