BEGGING for this to be a series. My favorite game of all time. At first it may seem like an ordinary survival game, but once you get enough into it you start to realize how truly peak this game is
Same. When this game came out I had no interest in it. Underwater game.....no thanks. No combat (almost none) no thanks. I only ended up getting cos it was getting overwhelmingly positive reviews on steam. So I started playing it. Now it's my favourite game of all time and I am planning on getting a new PC just because I saw Subnautica 2 is coming out.
They should make a movie of this game. And one scene that absolutely has to be in it is the main character filling his bag with acid mushrooms right at the start.
True. The only downside i would say is that its possable to softlock your progression if the player misses 1 of the games few key items. Its very hard to miss this item but its still possable and it can only be found in 1 location so if the player leaves that area without picking it up or scanning it unless they are told that they missed it they would never know.
@@Bluejay495 I think it has more to do with the fact that when a new player goes into this game blind, they don't immediately know that items don't stack in your inventory like they do in many other games. The acid mushrooms are a very effective way of letting new players find that out.
I'm only 10 minutes in but wanted to comment to say you are doing brilliantly: you've filled up your inventory with mushrooms and been terrified by the exploding fish. That is on point for everybody's first subnautica playthrough! 😂 If you're enjoying the game then go for a full series, I'm definitely here for it mate!

I mentally screamed after he ignored the Battery Charger and Laser Cutter fragments in the wreck. Tip: Always look at anything useful, as there will be a scanner icon in the bottom right if its scannable.

I actually found myself getting motion sick while trying to play with a controller 😅 So if you think it would be easier, and if you’re up for it, you could always try it out on pc and, if you make a series out of the game (which I beg to God that you do!🙏), play it like that going forward! You would just have to replay the beginning bit of course, but once you know what you’re doing, it’s a lot quicker to progress 😁

Literally one of my favourite games other than fromsoft games, the story goes deeper than you think (pun intended) and the world is so amazingly detailed, i loved reading about all the different flora and sea life and i have crazy bad adhd, so i usually struggle to read things like that haha.
This game makes for a pretty sick let’s play, the way the story hits is great and the gameplay ramps up nicely. I’m sure a lot of people old & new would gladly watch a series.

Loved the SOTC playthru bub. I think you're going places. You do a good job at endearing yourself to the games you play, which endears you to the viewer; many of whom are looking for new reactions to their favorite games.
If there could be only one game I could forget and play for the first time again, Subnautica would be it. There are so very few games like it; exploration in the purest form, diving deeper, conquering your fear to pursue knowledge and to keep on surviving. My own Thalassophobia isn't so bad (there is only one place I will not go, even after a dozen of play-throughs) and I've seen guys with much, much worse cases manage to get to the end, so I hope you will find the strength to do so too. It does get easier, as you go and it is worth it, I guarantee. There is so much wonderful, frightening, mysterious and just bizarre waiting for you under those seas. I'm so glad you're playing subnautica, it's honestly one of my favourite games. I also have a fear of open water and despite the game scaring the heck out of me, it actually ended up helping (at least a bit.) You should definitely continue, the story gets very cool and it's 100% worth your time.

I'm shocked we've been blessed with this so soon, let's freaking go. That first time Warper encounter was gold. Hope you do do a series, the story is nice. Note that audio logs will play if you close your PDA after hitting play on them. You can continue you can continue to swim about while it goes.
The audio design on the Aurora detonation is soo good. Absolutely deafening. Excited to see the rest of the playthrough if you go through with it long term.
I'm impressed with your progress. Got the seaglide and probably soon Seamoth. No deaths (that we've seen). Definitely a solid start. I got hung up on finding the cave sulfur my first time. Keep it going!

A way to enjoy the game is after you settle you can find a place to build your first home! Suggest build it near a small volcano~I got three home in different area it’s really nice(⁎⁍̴̛ᴗ⁍̴̛⁎)
When I was a kid, the gaming community was any other kid within walking distance wich was not that much. Now it's amazing how far we can reach each other and share experience, tricks and tips. Face you’re fears mati, you may not think it at first but not only is the progression within the survival great but the game starts to excel in storytelling the further you get in
This genuinely is one of the best sci fi and survival games ever made. Great survival mechanics, that can push you when unprepared and rewards preparation. but rewards risk taking in equal measure. Steallar story, well told and engaging. Good pacing, provided you do explore and keep your eyes peeled. The graphics are fantastic, not like ultra realistic, but the perfect blend of cartoony real and pretty to keep it nice to look at even after so many years. The building in the game is good as well, many folks will play it just to build bases in pretty locations. You seemed to enjoy the story so far, so i highly recommend you play the game, if only for yourself. Be for-warned. you have yet to see or experience anything scary yet. The deep locals in this game and even some of the more mid level ones get creepy as F.
Would absolutely love to see you play through the entire game. There are so many awe inspiring moments. My jaw literally dropped several times my first playthrough.

I am new to Subnautica myself, but one huge tip is to pin recipes. It'll show the ingredients required on screen so you don't have to remember what you're searching for when off exploring. Saved me so much time checking the PDA

I am new to Subnautica myself, but one huge tip is to pin recipes. It'll show the ingredients required on screen so you don't have to remember what you're searching for when off exploring. Saved me so much time checking the PDA
