whether or not Ryan has an eye patch. This depends on whether or not you talked during the interrogation in Chapter: Dragon's Hideout. The scene does not play out any differently if Ryan still has his eye, if anyone is wondering.

I think this was the best choice , she lived , found love , and was reunited with her stillborn brother
Fight the entity alongside Zoey and become her mentor is the best. Better than fighting alone.
In my opinion, Beyond: Two Souls is a masterpiece. Sure you can argue that it's too linear, and that your choices have limited impact, but this game is seriously impressive. The attachment you form with the characters, particularly Jodie, is simply incredible, especially as they're just video game characters. Ellen Page's portrayal was outstanding, as was Willem Defoe's, and I played it again as soon as I had finished it. I would recommend this game to anyone.

The dude gave his eye for her and literally would give his life for her, people saying he was a jerk because he lied (following orders I may add) or because he was a jerk once.
yah exactly plus he did the right thing in the end and the CIA kinda manipulated him to into thinking he was doing the right thing by lying to her, its pretty obvious they didn't weren't being completely honest with either of them. And i think shes been through to much with Ryan to cast him aside.

Ryan was my favorite ending. Jay's felt forced,the alone ending felt sad,beyond ending felt like quitting and the homeless ending was probably the second best ending.
My issue is that he never does anything redeeming after initially being a jerk and then lying to you. There is never a turning point for his character (that we get to witness) where he turns from this jerk trainer (who's way older than you) to a likable person. Instead one cutscene they hate each other, next cutscene they have the hots for eachother. And the game forces it on you so hard.
I want her to still be in love with Ryan, but I think its super bad ass that Zoey comes with her at the end! But then she wont know Aiden is still there.. THIS IS THE HARDEST DECISION I'VE EVER MADE IN MY WHOLE LIFE

@@Phiorsa Jay makes zero sense. U barely talked to him and knew him for like 2 days and barely did shit other then save them from the demons. big whoop.
@@MistahJay7 Exactly. I felt absolutely no connection with Jay, it doesn't help that he's in one chapter which is super long and kinda boring. Even when I hated Ryan, I felt like he was still an better option than Jay.
I prefer Jay over Ryan. Ryan was too manipulative.

Jodie loves Ryan no matter what you do. Player can't change this. Even if you choose Jay, she doesn't love him. You can see that in this video. She is really happy with Ryan. Ryan loves her too. I believe in him. He made mistakes in the past unfortunately. I can't deny that. He made mistakes because of CIA. However, he realized and he understood what is important to him. He really changed in the end. Love forgives everything. In conclusion Team Ryan b*tches! Ahem, ahem... I mean I'm so glad to see they are together (Sorry for my bad English.)

As a hopeless romantic I played the game like a love story (between ryan and Jodie) so I naturally picked him, I also commented on the guitar scene which happened after she separated from him, so deep down I always thought she loved him. ALSO if you speak right away when ryan is getting tortured he doesn't lose his eye just FYI....yea I cracked right away :D
I'm very into romance myself. But that doesn't mean every store with Romance in it is good (see twilight for a good example of this). I'm a hopeless romantic at heart, which is why the "love story" between Ryan and Jodie is so stupid. The game completely forces it on you, and just expects the player to go with it, regardless of lack of character development and story-telling. And the worst part about it is even if the player tries to say no (which wouldn't be weird at all considering how forced everything else in the romance is, as well as how off-putting and forward Ryan's character is), and steer the story away from romance, David Cage's lazy writing tries to force the player back into the romance. And no matter how much the character resists, he/she is still forced to have some kind of involvement with Ryan. No, this ending is dumb, as is the whole game.
Fir3fly798 not true! you can totally go against ryan and not involve yourself romantically if you so choose not to. this ending was the best of both worlds, Aiden is still around her and she is happy. Twilight is NOT A GOOD ROMANTIC MOVIE. period. the whole game was awesome, sorry it wasn't all call of duty or god of war, but some people still play games for the story line not just the action and/or the shooting.
You missed my point completely. Yes you can try to avoid being involved with him but the game keeps trying to force the romance on the player. The only way to finally have no affiliation with Ryan is to have Jodie kill herself. And wow bringing out the personal insults. Well here's a few for you. First off I laughed at you saying "I bet you play COD hurr durr, some people play games for story and not action or shooting hurr durr (for the record haven't played COD in years)." So right off the bat I can tell you're either a teenager, stupid, or both. Games are supposed to have "actions" whether it be platforming, shooting, puzzles, etc. This is called "gamplay," which is arguable the most important part of a game, and the whole reason video games are called video games. Beyond Two Souls is not a game, it's a long crappy movie with occasional character interaction. And I feel so sorry for you that you consider this to be a good story. If you want a game that is of the "interactive movie genre" then check out TELL TALE games. The Walking Dead game was almost exactly like heavy rain in terms of gameplay but it actually had good writing and a strong narrative with meaningful choices and character development. Also there are so many games with amazing story lines AND great gameplay: Last of Us, Bioshock (1 and Infinite), MGS series, Mass Effect (minus the anticlimactic ending of 3), Dragon Age (origins), just to name a few that are recent games. The fact that all those games I just mentioned have great gameplay and a great story(-lines) mean a game like Beyond Two Souls should have the most creative, flawless story ever. But it's an inconsistent, cliche, muddled mess, that rips off tons of movies, games, and doesn't even cite the source material it's stealing from.There was lots of good ideas that Beyond had, but they never went anywhere. All the game is is unused potential. So if you REALLY consider this to be a great story then I suggest you spend some time putting your nose in books and stimulating your brain because you need it. Expose yourself to some decent literature.
Fir3fly798 some of us like these kind of games and they are still "games" whether you want to involve yourself in them or not, what you consider a good game for yourself is not the same as what I or someone else would consider a good game, your initial comment was okay but then you ended it with "two souls was not a good game blah blah blah" well, who made you judge and jury of what is and isn't a good game??? (you also mentioned twilight as a romance) which you're either a teenage girl or emo since a real man would scoff at twilight references...I'm sure there are games you consider good and the whole world is against, a good example is I found resident evil 5-6 awesome tho a lot of people will tell you otherwise. if by saying good games involve "puzzles" you would lump angry birds or candy crush into good "games" which BTW are "puzzles" which I would consider a waste of time. Games today focus way too much on graphic and very little time on character development and storyline, yes, the storyline of two souls was a little cliché but it still gave you a "movie'esque" feel and character development. and with that I am done.

I agree. In the end of the Walking Dead (the game), I cried for a while. I didn't cry here; but for the next week I felt just... empty. Something wasn't right.
I understand what you're saying, and I understand that Quantic was really trying to make the player choose Ryan (but not at the same time) but it didn't feel right to me. He constantly displayed his douchiness throughout the game, some big some small, it's what compelled me to choose Zoey at the end. It's not like Ryan never had good moments, but they were few and far between.
I felt that Jodie deserved better than Ryan, he had feelings for her but I felt he definitely did not deserve her.

Ryan isn't such a bad character. I mean, he did lie to Jodie about that one mission, but consider his bosses. They were willing to put Jodie in a COMA for the rest of her life because they were scared they couldn't control her, and killing her would just let her rally all of Hell against them. Might be a "tell her this or we'll shoot you" kind of deal.
I think this is my favorite ending variation. Aiden's back, she's with Ryan...

I couldn't ever do the Beyond ending and the reason why was seeing Ryan cry over Jodie's dead body. I literally cried at that moment. No matter how many times I play this, I'll always choose Ryan. That or the ending with Tuesday and Zoey ut mostly Ryan.

I watched a guy named Pauseunpause play it, and when she ran into Nathan Ryan wasn't there (you get separated from him, idk if you saw that) and when nathan kills himself ryan finds you again

Also his character development seems like subtext if you ask me. His character was deeply entwined with Jodie's, and towards the end, he dealt with emotions in a broader aspect, instead of being defensive like in the previous moments between he and Jodie. Common sense wise, it's a psychological turn of either his own doing, or his (true) feelings for Jodie. I find that most poignant, since they have an understanding, unlike Jay who's known her for like...three days?
This wasn't my favorite final, but I liked too.
As far as I know, he wasn't forced to lie to Jodie (by like, if you don't trick Jodie we will kill you soft of thing). Also, in the chopper he says something along the lines of "Just another job done, right?"
He never felt any remorse for lying to Jodie or tricking her into killing an innocent man... He was the one who seemed like a complete douche bag all the way around, from the moment he met Jodie.
I agree. If she could have had the happy island ending, just with Jay instead of Ryan, that would have been perfect.

You can still do that and encounter it while being with Ryan... The other way around I am not so sure. I have to say though, you can either choose Ryan or Zoey. They make the most sense. I think that's where you have to decide for yourself

Depending on the dialogue you chose, Nathan could kill himself (Think it's 'Reason' first and then 'Determine' as the options).
The other option is to have Aiden kill Nathan. It can be seen in Jesse's play-through. There was a small window for Aiden to kill Nathan but if you don't do anything (Like Jesse did) then Ryan would come in and die to protect Jodie.

Jesse didn't see that when Dawnkins held the gun against Jodie that he was able to disarm him and there fore he died. Also if you don't blame him of all of this he will realize of what hes done and he shoot himself.

I think there's a large variable reason why he stayed relevant and in the sidelines of Jodie's life and missions. Like I said, I despised this guy in the beginning (I remembered calling him a douche truck) and I really wanted Jodie to be with Zoey and the gang again, but his character stayed developing, almost always near and clashing with Jodie's. I felt that was a foreshadowing to his character's involvement with the protagonist you know? So it just felt right to choose him!
You can choose how to react to the things the people say. If you are sympathetic with Nathan, he will kill himself and be with his family again. Then you can choose wether you live or die, and between the different endings.

I don't understand the final part about Pandora?Where was Ryan?Did he Die?To me the ending should of stopped where Jodie is with Ryan & Aiden comes back.To me that would of ended it perfectly.

If you irritate Nathan, he will attempt to murder Jodie. Ryan sacrifices himself to prevent this. Afterwards, Ryan will no longer be an option if you choose Life. However, if you choose the correct options in Black Sun, Nathan will reunite with his family and pass on, saving Ryan from death.

Yes before he didn't have any backbone to say "fuck you" to his superiors before the Somalian president's assassination but to me, Ryan redeemed himself when he punched the general in the face, quit and sacrificed his life for Jodie when he gave her his personal containment field. Ryan seemed like the logical choice and I thought Jodie deserved some happiness.
I like Ryan better than Jay because Jodie knows him more and he really does care for her
I chose this ending coz i thought it was the most logical choice,A. Ryan and Jodie had the most chemistry throughout the entire game whether theyre fighting or in love.B. Because isn't that the lesson of this story?to have closure with those who have passed away and live and be with those who love and care about you.(well that was the lesson i picked up from this story anyway)
