I think you should leave those Items from Good Will for the people who need it. There are lots of us who really can't afford to buy much. Its a shame that you have to make money that way.
Hi Sigrid, I don't think you understand what is going on here and you are grossly misinformed about the purpose of Goodwill stores. First of all, there are so many Goodwill stores across the USA and they are crammed with so much inventory - I am not taking anything from anyone. There is more than enough to go around. Second, eBay and reselling keeps many people off public assistance because it gives them a way to make money from home. With my teaching, I have helped people get off public assistance and create thriving home businesses. Many sellers have lost a job, are disabled, are caregivers, have health issues, or other reasons they cannot hold a real job. eBay gives them a way to make money from home and Goodwill stores have more than enough inventory to support our chosen career path of reselling. I think you need to change your mindset. There is no possible way eBay resellers are taking anything from anyone. We live in a country of abundance and shameful waste. eBay sellers are rehoming unwanted items, keeping things out of the landfill, creating flexible profitable home businesses - it is all good. Furthermore, Goodwill's mission is "works to enhance the dignity and quality of life of individuals and families by strengthening communities, eliminating barriers to opportunity, and helping people in need reach their full potential through learning and the power of work." Goodwill does not exist to provide things for the financially disadvantaged. The thrift stores raise money for their mission, which is work programs. As many thrift stores exist to generate income for the charity's mission - whether it is disabled veterans, the kidney fund, a church - whatever the mission may be. I hope I have educated you about the reselling cycle and the fact that eBay sellers are not taking anything from anyone.
Hi Sigrid, I use the money I make from thrifting to support my family, without it I would not be able to "afford much". It's my second job. The Goodwill, say what you want about it, puts people to work who might not otherwise be able to get a job. I see this firsthand in the warehouse where I pick up auction items. Many of the people who load items in my car are disabled, and I imagine might not be able to work anywhere else. To me, they are people in need who get the opportunity to work from people like me supporting the stores. Also, the stores where I live are jammed to the walls with product, I hardly think stores will run out of items anytime soon.
Hello Sigrid, I am an online reseller thanks to the large amount of help I have received from the videos Suzanne Wells posts. The insane amount of consumerism in this country means that thrift stores are busting at the seams with goods so no one is truly doing without. I am extremely choosey with what I buy and resell so for every item I buy, there are hundreds left there for the next person. Reselling supplements my husband's income, otherwsie, I could easily be in the club of the "people who really can't afford to buy much." I do not, for one second, think of what I do as taking from the needy when in fact, it is helping me to not BE the needy. The fact that you don't see the opportunity that Suzanne is sharing is the real shame. Get rid of the victim mentality... It's not a cute look.
Something else to consider is that Goodwill has SO MUCH STUFF that they wont possibly sell it all. They end up taking so much of it to the dump. I intentionally buy items that are on their last round at goodwill (the day their colored tags are the cheapest). Often they are sent to the bins or the dump after that. This is an important thing to do in today's day and age when people throw away too much. It allows this item to be used a little while longer. Also, not everyone is able to make it to Goodwill, but they can shop on ebay. Or they arent able to find their harder-to-find shoe size/style, but again, they can find it on ebay. Resellers take an item that likely wont otherwise sell and present it to a whole new audience, giving the item a second chance at life, reducing consumption of raw materials, and providing an easier shopping experience for those who are disabled or who live too far away from a goodwill to search themselves.
I see where you are coming from, I used to feel the same, however, here are a few reasons I now disagree...1. Most of the items we buy to resell are unique and not the same items that the average person who shops for themselves is looking for at a thrift store. 2. Thrift store items are often not inexpensive 3. Most frugal shoppers just shop at walmart or dollar tree for most personal or household items anyway including myself 4. Private thrift stores may not do this as often, but goodwill regularly clears out it's old inventory to make room for new, some of the donations dont actually even make it inside the store before they are taken to the outlet or landfill, there is plenty for everyone
Ya and people don't realize goodwill does not give any money they make to charity They get stuff donated then sell it make money they dont care about anything but profit
How many of your items sell on ebay at the prices you mentioned in this video? I have sold things on ebay a few years ago but never got the mark up you mention. My hat's off to you if you are successful. Do you list as buy it now or auctions? I've had 2 fabulous sales on auctions but most were $5-$10 sales. I would love to follow in your footsteps. Thank you for sharing this video.
You can check my Pinterest Board, "Yep, I sold this on eBay" to see how much my items sold for. The board has about 800 items going back to 2013. There are screen shots of the actual sold item along with how much I paid for it and where it was purchased. www.pinterest.com/ebaycoach/yep-i-sold-this-on-ebay/
Good stuff! Its nice to see someone on here thats legit and doesnt mind showing their ebay store. I truly believe that there are quite a few youtubers that are telling people how to sell on ebay that never actually sells anything themselves
This is one of the best and most interesting and informative videos that you have ever made. Its very eye-opening to see everything that we are just completely ignoring never would have thought to buy the paper, never would have thought to list them that high; never would have thought to buy that ugly Zrike pottery teapot thing. thank you so much
Hi Suzanne it's Gabrielle in the UK thank you for sharing your great thrifts and you are such a good teacher with explanations. A tip for you to get over your crockery shipping fear! Take a photo just before you seal the package so if anything happens the buyer can see the item was complete prior to shipping. Loved your video and can't wait to see your future treasures. Love and blessings x
I have the Mr. Rogers my in my store!!! Pool noodles are great for packing mugs!! Just cut to the size of the handle,(the most vulnerable part of the mug) cut a slit down the middle, and slip it over the handle. Wrap the mug with plastic wrap, a sheet of bubble wrap and wrapping paper. I also like to line the box with wrapping paper. I guarantee your mug will arrive undamaged. Buyers also seem to appreciate the effort.
Yep, I have shipping mugs conquered! It is just a matter of not WANTING to ship breakables, rather than not KNOWING HOW. In my ebay career I have shipped lamps, paintings, vacuum cleaners, sets of dishes and crystal, antique vases - I just don't enjoy the packing process very much, but I will get over it!
You can get pool noodles at the dollar store! Shipping I understand is the most expensive part and determines if you do Ebay or something like facebook marketplace with no shipping choice
Yay Suzanne!!! Love these haul videos of yours! You find the beautiful things among the "junk"....I'm crazy about the little deer/birch bark teapot! Thanks so much for sharing your expertise and fun finds!
Thanks! The more I look at that teapot the cuter it is. There are little deer foot prints around the lid. And lots of interesting details. Someone will love it!
Thank you so much for the good info. I am a senior and have a storage unit and attic and my office is packed , so I was stressing because I can't seem to get my head around all this. I have been in the process of listing what I can to donate it, but with my husband out of work, I think I will try to sell instead. So now watching your videos has given me confidence to tackle it and see what I can do with it all.
Quick question on your FB file does you have a list of brands of clothing. shoes, toys, porcelain, etc to have an idea about what sells more. Thank you, I been watching your videos :)
I have many thrifting lists in the Premium Content Library. You can download all of them as a member. They are updated frequently. suzanne.teachable.com/p/thrift-shopping-lists
When you're 67 years old and no company wants to hire you -- despite having 2 Masters Degrees -- you soon learn that selling on Ebay can be a Godsend when it comes to supplementing your income because you're social security won't pay the bills! Thanks, Suzanne.
Suzanne, which is my middle name, you are so wonderful in producing videos to help others. I currently have no income and looking to have an online business somehow. I will be watching more of your vids and getting out of my comfort zone! Thank you!
Your videos are so helpful, thank you. I was watching one a day or two ago and someone sold an insulin pump. I am a diabetic, and that got me to thinking that I have a surplus of supplies that I could sell. I listed 4 boxes of infusion sets for a Medtronic pump that don’t work with my new pump. I listed them last night and took a best offer of $85 within an hour. Who would of thought! Keep the inspiration coming.
I'd love to see an update video! I'm curious about which items sold and how much they went for. Some of the prices that you plan to list the items for do seem very high, but that's likely because I am such a frequent Goodwill shopper. I've never thought about buying things to sell from there, but you just may have inspired me. :)
Hi Tami - you can check my Pinterest board for sales update. I keep a board of all my sales - screen shots of the actual sales. You can find that here: www.pinterest.com/ebaycoach/yep-i-sold-this-on-ebay/
I do not donate to Goodwill and haven’t for years. When my kids were little and I couldn’t afford to buy them nice clothes I went to Goodwill. Many of the children’s clothes were stained and the prices were ridiculously high. I realized Goodwill was not selling to help those in lower incomes but to make money.
omg...you secured such wonderful items...and in brand new condition! I even could see them myself...wow....God Bless you! Thanks for sharing. Sherry :)
You're so lucky to be in an area where you can buy low and sell high! Here in the NW there's a ton of competition in thrift-flipping and the Goodwills price stuff at $7 and above. Skirts for $13. Coats for $25. Not a ton of margin to make a living from! Thank you so much for sharing, though! Like your perspective and choices.
Yes I am very blessed to live where I live with such abundant thrifting. I count my blessings every day! You could try flipping listings from eBay - I have developed a method for that for people in your exact situation. Check out my Virtual Picking course: suzanne.teachable.com/courses/buying-things-to-sell-on-ebay/lectures/5842902
Greatly appreciate you splitting the videos since I don't do clothes for the most part. Great video! After watching all your videos on items you find in the trash, about 1 month ago I found a firefighters helmet someone was throwing in the trash. Picked it up, sold it for $50 the other day, got it for free. Thank you for those videos!
Thanks Debra - BTW, my mom said to some knock on her door and introduce yourself! If they are outside it is usually on the screened porch where nobody can see them. She would love to meet her neighbor! Don't be shy....you will probably end up over there for a while having coffee and pastries...LOL
Thank you for sharing these items! I think plates would be less scary to ship for me than mugs... only because their isn't a handle on it that could break! Do you think finding $25 at minimum is a good place to start? I'm trying to up my ebay game because selling $10 every 2 weeks isn't going to do much in the long run... because if I sold 4 $25 items that would be $100! And in my area it's kind of rare to find $100 items all the time.. anyway thank you for these videos Suzanne. I hope Q1 is going well for you too :)
You need to price at what the market will bear. Arbitrarily pricing at $25 doesn't make sense if that is not the going rate. Research completed listings on eBay.
Do you have a video on the benefits of going to store status as an eBay seller? I want to make that leap but it’s an irreversible decision and I’m nervous about making the wrong decision.
Great finds,! I have the same issue of not liking to ship breakables and it is something I want to work on later this year. I like the videos much better with you on camera. Thanks for all the info!
I'm by no means an expert but I HAVE had over 10,000 ebay sales and am still at 100% so I feel that I have a pretty good sense of who's phony on here and who isn't. Thanks for the info!
It means that I have enough experience to know who is phony and who isnt. She isnt. The comment I made first right before would pretty much explain my point
No, it is not necessary to have a store to get maximum sales. A store is simply the way eBay bills you for items. However there are benefits: ua-cam.com/video/jL8KKme_O4Q/v-deo.html
It depends on the material and what the price was written with. You can Google "how to remove XX from XX" such as, "How to remove magic marker from porcelain" and find lots of answers.
Hi, research completed sold listings for pricing. You are thinking of using a reserve price, which would be done with auctions, and isn't really used anymore. Used fixed price with best offer.
Hi Miriam, I really don't like that phrase "sit without selling." I wait for the right buyer. Sometimes it takes 18-24 months. eBay is a marathon, not a sprint. These things take time. You have to be patient. The flip side is that I am selling things today that I listed 18 months ago, so once you get a pipeline going it all works out.
Thanks for this video. It was very helpful that you talk about the things that really matter... like having your costs break down and your profit possibility understood. ;-)
I also sell on eBay. I appreciate you showing items you purchased for resell, along with your pricing point. I usually get my items at yard sales. I often find nice items in my own neighborhood or the surrounding ones, and the prices are super low. I haven’t had much luck at thrift stores. Where I live in California, the nicer higher end thrift stores are so overpriced or the majority of the stores I’d never find the items you did. Especially Pottery Barn brands. Curious what city and state you live in. By the way, you have a great eye for items. Good job!
Everyone can do this, its educating yourself on how. If you're reading this, you have access to the internet. When you have a few extra bucks, invest it into something someone may want or need. Start small and build yourself up. Some shipping companies will pickup from your home, so you don't need to go anywhere to ship. So if you're saying that you don't have the money for something, do something about it. Just a thought.
I don't know why Goodwill does that, you would need to ask them. 😬 Sometimes you can wipe off a light colored mark with a damp cloth. I have never had anyone who purchased a handbag from me complain about that writing being there.
You have inspired me i am such a good buyer but fail as a seller went to a flea market took 100 dollers in change came home with105 sold only 2 items im going to try ebay
First of all, change that self-talk! You aren't FAILING, you are learning. What you have done hasn't worked, so time to try some different things. eBay is SO much better than a flea market because your items are for sale 24/7 to everyone in the world. you can do this. Come to my premium library and I will help you! suzanne.teachable.com/
I think I've said it before on one of your videos, but Thank You again, for putting together all this information for us. I do get so envious to see your hauls though. I would NEVER find those types of things in my rural thrift stores. Even a Goodwill that's about an hour from me, is not all that great. I just never seem to find those "wow" items. But I love looking at others hauls.
Because it is too much of a hassle - I tried it. The cashiers don't know what do to, they have to call a manager, who sometimes doesn't know what to do. So check out ended up taking 20-30 minutes longer to save like $5. My time is more valuable than that, so I just pay sales tax and move along.
My grandparents sent me China from the UK, 6 sets came in a wooden crate packed in hay! It was maybe the weirdest package I've ever gotten but they came all the way to Austin TX and didn't break. Just thought you'd laugh at the idea of shipping that way.
Great video! My husband would love the teapot but he's has too many already lol! He's an outdoorsman who loves teapots, go figure:/. I'm like you, I really don't like storing and shipping hard goods but still buy stuff I know is valuable. Thanks so much!
on ebay canada can i set the delivery time to be 10-12 days only regular parcel post on all my listings if i provide free shipping and 30 day returns .I can only do ebay tuesdays and thursdays so would need the extra time to get orders out to the post office and process the orders --- is that possible ??
Hey this is a great video. On shipping breakables especially things that are worth a lot of money I have had success in going to UPS and having them give me a quote because they’ll provide all the shipping materials and most people that want to buy high-end are used to paying a good amount of money to make sure the Brickels make it with no problem for example I sold a vintage Waterford bowl that was extremely heavy and someone ponied up $25 for UPS to ship it and guarantee that it would get there without Breaking
Thanks for the tip! I think my aversion to shipping breakables goes back to my early days of eBay. My mom had hip surgery and moved in with me for a couple of years, and we worked on downsizing her things. As she said, "You will have to do this some day so we should start now." She had a lot of China, figurines, collectibles. I shipped paintings, a vacuum cleaner, lamps. So I think I burned out on shipping those kinds of things and it stuck with me. I am really working on myself to get over it!
@@chrissiem4 go to shipping and packing stores but this can get expensive. Try selling on Facebook Marketplace locally to avoid shipping, although depending on where you are selling prices may be much cheaper than the national market. You have to weigh the plus and minus issues.
Since I relocated to Puerto Rico I am having a hard time finding low items. There are no good wills here. I have to really go through clearance at the stores and keep an eye out for sales.
Fashion is way down on eBay right now? Not for me - check out my latest video about what I sold in the past 30 days: ua-cam.com/video/4U5x7TVYmWE/v-deo.html
Thanks for splitting up the videos. Although, I still will watch both - it is appreciated so I can get my mindset for the videos! I am close to Atlanta so maybe I will be shopping the same stores you do occasionally. thanks for your advice and help. and I love the items you got, the swan is gorgeous!
Hi Suzanne! I loved your video and have recently started watching a lot of your stuff. I work for a non profit in my community at the local food bank and we have a thrift store as well. I have asked the board to approve me running an ebay store for the company....approved! So my ebay store was finally up and fully operational on the 2nd of Feb this year and I am struggling with listing as auction or buy it now pricing. Everything I have to put on the store is 100% profit because all of our goods are donated to us through various outlets in our community, so I am tending to list fairly low and still have only had 5 sales. Any advice for a new store owner in the ebay community? Greatly appreciated and thank you so much for all you do to help us all achieve success!
Kelly Miller you may know this already but you can set up an ebay account for a nonprofit where there are no final value fees. Either the nonprofit can set up an acct for itself or you could work thru ebay to temporarily "designate" your acct for the nonprofit. During that time, you could not sell your own items thru the acct, all sales would have to be for the nonprofit.
Use calculated shipping: ua-cam.com/video/-Vre1GdCTuU/v-deo.html There are tons of great videos on UA-cam about packing and shipping virtually any kind of item. Just look up how to do it1
Why not? Reselling is as old as mankind. If I can help others learn to do this and make money, everyone wins. I do not care if eBay shoppers look at UA-cam, in fact I hope they do. If I find something for $3 that someone really wants, and they pay me $50, that it their choice. No one is forcing them to by an ashtray or handbag. They want to. This is business. The world knows that people are shopping thrift stores and garage sales and reselling - this is no big secret. If I have something someone else wants, I can set the price. It is simple economics.
betty kuykendall, there are many peoole out there that will buy what they want from Ebay, since they have the money but NOT the time for scronging for what they want
@@jackiekoreen6883 Exactly, Jackie! Say I am in the market for vintage handbags to buy. I can see thousands of them on Ebay - and gladly pay for the "service" of the sellers who go to the hundreds of thrift store to find and post the items.
I pay people more than what they paid because its something I want when I'm at the auctions people pay me 3 times what I paid for something because they want it and they watched me only pay a few dollars for the item
I didn't see any other comment re the music/jewelry box. Yes, there was some kind of 'dancer' (on the spindel) that is missing. Pls be sure the buyer is aware.
I love the mix skirt you sold on pinterest..I live modest clithes.j am a size 6-8.I love vintage things with lace articles Not form fitting but kinda figure flattening .Just dont want to look like I'm in a potatoe sack.lol I am 60 but I love items that are different. U do not dress up normally but for feast days I love to look nice.I must keep an eye out for your items. Are they only on Ebay.?I need to see not buy lol
Movie/TV tie-ins can really help an item sell. I once sold a vintage 60s jumpsuit - it was a wildly psychedelic print - by tying it in to the old TV show called Laugh-In. (By "tie-in" I mean including the name of the show in your Ebay title.) The buyer sent me a pic of her teen daughter wearing the item for a stage show based on Laugh-In. What fun!
I think you should leave those Items from Good Will for the people who need it. There are lots of us who really can't afford to buy much. Its a shame that you have to make money that way.

ua-cam.com/video/PbyNMVy9Gqc/v-deo.html
I loved this! Thank you! You give me confidence to list with higher prices!
Wow, congratulations!
You can find that here:
www.pinterest.com/ebaycoach/yep-i-sold-this-on-ebay/
Suzanne - thank you for your words of wisdom and sharing. Great video. :)
I love the Mister Rodgers mug
I know! That was adorable!
Sherry :)
I have 700 plus items in my store. I get boxes and packing from a local boutique store. It's a win win 🏆
Love it!!
How do you price the postage/shipping?
Thank you and stay safe.
🌲🌝☘️
Hi, use calculated shipping. This video explains it ua-cam.com/video/-Vre1GdCTuU/v-deo.html
Suzanne A. Wells thank you very much for replying. I appreciate it.
🌲🌝☘️
Ok, great I will do that sometime when I see the car in the drive. Just walked down their street this morning, love the street.
Loved seeing you with hard goods today, what a surprise, loved this video, do more of them!
I just want to say I enjoy your videos. I watch(listen) as I list. I've learned so much from you. Thanks.
How do you handle shipping? Big expense for heavy or fragile items like bookends or porcelain swan?
Hi Rhonda, you use calculated shipping. It is explained here:
ua-cam.com/video/-Vre1GdCTuU/v-deo.html
Yes here:
ua-cam.com/video/jL8KKme_O4Q/v-deo.html
Great finds,! I have the same issue of not liking to ship breakables and it is something I want to work on later this year.
I like the videos much better with you on camera. Thanks for all the info!
Thank you!
I'm by no means an expert but I HAVE had over 10,000 ebay sales and am still at 100% so I feel that I have a pretty good sense of who's phony on here and who isn't. Thanks for the info!
** Learning all I can ** lol what does that mean ? I enjoy Suzanne's videos 👍🏼
It means that I have enough experience to know who is phony and who isnt. She isnt. The comment I made first right before would pretty much explain my point
Is any way to see a real profit? a mean after ebay fees, shipping, gas, and supplies?
Of course. Watch my Money Making Monday, $100 Super Size, and Sales Update videos.
Suzanne, do ebay store owners sell more items than non ebay store owners? Do you have a video on this? Thank you for your time.
No, it is not necessary to have a store to get maximum sales. A store is simply the way eBay bills you for items. However there are benefits:
ua-cam.com/video/jL8KKme_O4Q/v-deo.html
Great finds. Such quality items. Helps us when thrifting.
Nice haul! How do you get the handwritten price off of the bottom of the breakables? - Heidi Johnson. Thank you
It depends on the material and what the price was written with. You can Google "how to remove XX from XX" such as, "How to remove magic marker from porcelain" and find lots of answers.
Just found you. What a great idea. I want to go shopping now. Thanks
Yes shopping is the BEST part! Happy hunting!
I love how you always change your background!!! And love these videos!
Ha ha, yes it is fun! Thank you!
How do u price on ebay? Do u set an asking price and put in an amount that you won't accept under? I can't think of the word I'm trying to say...
Hi, research completed sold listings for pricing. You are thinking of using a reserve price, which would be done with auctions, and isn't really used anymore. Used fixed price with best offer.
How long do your items sit without selling? I see a lot of these items still for sale. Just curious. Thanks for your videos!
While discussing the nautical bookends you mention doing research on "other sites". Other than eBay sold items where else would you research?
I have several videos about researching in the premium content library:
suzanne.teachable.com/p/research
Very True about getting out of comfort zone. There are so many times that I want to get wonderful things but shipping seems so daunting.
Good job!
Hi Jillzy - thank you for your compliments. I live in Atlanta, GA.
You are awesome. Just so you know. Thank you for all that you do!
Thank you so much! ❤️
I sold those unicorn cards before! Oracle cards and tarot card decks are good if you find them, which I rarely do.
I love the maxfield parrish print!
Great haul! Thanks for the tips
😄💰☕️
I have had some issues with USPS destroying some breakables no matter how I pack. Double box the teapot!
Yes definitely double boxing this!
I have learned to double box my breakables!
Why does Goodwill hand mark the price inside the bag on the pocket?
And do you try to take that off?
I don't know why Goodwill does that, you would need to ask them. 😬 Sometimes you can wipe off a light colored mark with a damp cloth. I have never had anyone who purchased a handbag from me complain about that writing being there.
Great video as always and fantastic finds!!
How and where do you store your items? Could you make a video on your storage? I always learn so much from your videos! Thank You!
I have a video here:
ua-cam.com/video/PGRK8KWE05M/v-deo.html
You have inspired me i am such a good buyer but fail as a seller went to a flea market took 100 dollers in change came home with105 sold only 2 items im going to try ebay
First of all, change that self-talk! You aren't FAILING, you are learning. What you have done hasn't worked, so time to try some different things. eBay is SO much better than a flea market because your items are for sale 24/7 to everyone in the world. you can do this. Come to my premium library and I will help you!
suzanne.teachable.com/
Thank you so much
I like this video because it shows the pricing of the items
Very interesting video
Thanks a lot
I think I've said it before on one of your videos, but Thank You again, for putting together all this information for us. I do get so envious to see your hauls though. I would NEVER find those types of things in my rural thrift stores. Even a Goodwill that's about an hour from me, is not all that great. I just never seem to find those "wow" items. But I love looking at others hauls.
Love this type of video. Thanks so much! :)
Your videos are very helpful. Just one question: why do you pay sales tax? As a reseller can't you be exempt?
Because it is too much of a hassle - I tried it. The cashiers don't know what do to, they have to call a manager, who sometimes doesn't know what to do. So check out ended up taking 20-30 minutes longer to save like $5. My time is more valuable than that, so I just pay sales tax and move along.
Suzanne A. Wells Thank you.
Thank you for sharing!
I live in Temple TX which is between Waco and Austin solo there's lots of thrift stores.
Yes! I hear that Austin thrift stores are gold mines!
My grandparents sent me China from the UK, 6 sets came in a wooden crate packed in hay! It was maybe the weirdest package I've ever gotten but they came all the way to Austin TX and didn't break. Just thought you'd laugh at the idea of shipping that way.
Great, informative video. Thanks, Suzanne :)
Do you clean off the goodwill markings on your stuff, I dislike they do that.
Thats a good question. I've passed over a few items just because of the markings.
I've sold Hable Construction many times and always did well. Your 4$ find was awesome. They are expensive and sought after.
Great video. I love the dress in the background. It does not lk my size but what size is the dress? thanks
I might need to buy that granny square pillow from you!
Here, I will make it EASY for you! 😃

Great video! My husband would love the teapot but he's has too many already lol! He's an outdoorsman who loves teapots, go figure:/. I'm like you, I really don't like storing and shipping hard goods but still buy stuff I know is valuable. Thanks so much!
Wow, an outdoorsman who loves teapots! I just noticed there are little deer tracks on the lid. It is cute!
on ebay canada can i set the delivery time to be 10-12 days only regular parcel post on all my listings if i provide free shipping and 30 day returns .I can only do ebay tuesdays and thursdays so would need the extra time to get orders out to the post office and process the orders --- is that possible ??
Hi, I have never lived in Canada so I can't advise on how to work within their shipping system. Sorry!
Hi Susanne, how do you ship those big items like lamps, vacuum cleaners, paintings and china? Especially if there aren't boxes available?
@@chrissiem4 go to shipping and packing stores but this can get expensive. Try selling on Facebook Marketplace locally to avoid shipping, although depending on where you are selling prices may be much cheaper than the national market. You have to weigh the plus and minus issues.
I have found lately that my hard goods are selling faster than the clothing. My problem is the storage.
how do you get the price markings off them?? thank you for sharing!
just Google that question you will find many answers
Just want to say- I so appreciate you!
How do you store or organize your items??
Hi Karen, I use clear plastic tubs. I put all clothing in plastic, then inside a clear tub. Hard goods are stored on shelves in a closet.
Since I relocated to Puerto Rico I am having a hard time finding low items. There are no good wills here. I have to really go through clearance at the stores and keep an eye out for sales.
Very interesting! I've been selling mostly clothes and the profit margin isn't that good and fashion is way down on ebay right now!
Fashion is way down on eBay right now? Not for me - check out my latest video about what I sold in the past 30 days:
ua-cam.com/video/4U5x7TVYmWE/v-deo.html
Thanks for splitting up the videos. Although, I still will watch both - it is appreciated so I can get my mindset for the videos! I am close to Atlanta so maybe I will be shopping the same stores you do occasionally. thanks for your advice and help. and I love the items you got, the swan is gorgeous!
Thanks so much for the great advice !!!
I can take a look at your store and do a critique:
suzanneawells.com/product/ebay-shop-review/
Kelly Miller you may know this already but you can set up an ebay account for a nonprofit where there are no final value fees. Either the nonprofit can set up an acct for itself or you could work thru ebay to temporarily "designate" your acct for the nonprofit. During that time, you could not sell your own items thru the acct, all sales would have to be for the nonprofit.
Where you at? I’m in Alpharetta the goodwills are Nice around here
I am everywhere and nowhere....😁
I am so worried to ship such fragile items. I have a load of stuff like this... Do you get insurance and how much do you charge to ship roughly?
Use calculated shipping:
ua-cam.com/video/-Vre1GdCTuU/v-deo.html
There are tons of great videos on UA-cam about packing and shipping virtually any kind of item. Just look up how to do it1
Curious - why tell how much YOU paid for it? Do you think eBay shoppers don't look at UA-cam?
Cool granny square pillow!
Hi Suzanne! You should get your price on the Big Buddha bag, I carried that brand when I had a brick and mortar. Good find..thumbs up great video!
I didn't see any other comment re the music/jewelry box. Yes, there was some kind of 'dancer' (on the spindel) that is missing. Pls be sure the buyer is aware.
Do you have any videos on how to start a ebay account for Thrift store finds?
Sure, just check out my beginner's playlist. It is about 5 hours worth of info to get started.
ua-cam.com/video/W9OAyTPvz3s/v-deo.html
Thanks so much for your videos! Love them!
Suzanne I like your bling bling shirt. Is it One World? Also did you sell the granny square pillow? And did you sell the tote bag?
Thank you and yes!
Do you charge for Shipping or do you include it in the price?
I always use calculated shipping. I do not include it in the price.
Love this format....
that teapot is amazing
Tom Hanks is playing Mr Rogers in the new movie Are you my Friend. A good time to sell that mug!
What fun!
