I picked up the douser dualies video after learning how to dualie jump, and it works really well.
I’ve wanted to use douser dualies but thought I couldn’t really work it with the quick respawn comeback build I use on splatana stamper, but I guess I could give it a try now :3
I had some troubles with the dousers came out because of their ink consumption and poor shot accuracy, but using a little intensify action, ink saver main, and run speed they have felt amazing to play, I’m not a dualie guy but I’ve really fallen in love with the dousers
I need the full art for the new profile picture it looks so cool. I plan on using them more when I’m done 4 staring the octobrush Nouveau.

I don’t usually like Duelies but really clicked with the douser duelies.
Very well put! I totally agree on the sentiment of this weapon being more effective when played a bit more passively, but aggressive play in right situations certainly gives it that hint of versatility that some weapons in the class lack. I think ink mine usage in key areas of maps gets overlooked a ton because those well placed mines will definitely score you some good and FREE information when you have an enemy player outside your sight line.

I’m trying to make a Thermal Ink set for this weapon. I think it could be fun…? The gear guide helped a bunch.
I made one myself, I personally prefer to just use a run speed build (like the first example build I put in the guide) but thermal isn't bad on it! Thanks for watching also

Since you inspired me to pick up dualies as a class, I'm still learning to adjust to having dodge rolls at all, So I might genuinely try picking up the Dowsers and see how I like it.
2:08 It makes me anxious to see people not see or ignore Squid Beacon even when I'm the one who placed them.
I was one of those highly excited for the Dousers on release. So much so that they became my first ever 4 star in the Dualie class. I love them...but man can it feel like a metronome when it comes to playing it, really cause of it's accuracy in spread mode. I know it can't be laser accurate but when I'm trying to play my range with it, sometimes it hits the enemy, sometimes it just misses completely, even when I refresh the RNG. I'm hopin' for an accuracy buff as I feel that's the only thing holding Dousers back from being picked more. And a second kit, these things are MADE for Inkjet. Doesn't deny that the weapon feels satisfying and fun as hell to play though.
The Douser ALWAYS reminded me of an upgraded version of Dapples - the singular dodge roll of the Dousers is the Same Distance as both dodge rolls with the Dapples. Dapples were my first S3 Main, and Dousers are exactly what I wanted

I’ve been using douser dualies since release, it’s one of the most versatile long range weapons and it feels so devilish to either outrage everything or just kill it in under a second ☠️☠️☠️ these things are so evil srsly i love them. I agree w everything you said chase, wail is like one of the best possible specials this could’ve gotten since it can roll cancel ☠️☠️

For an agro set, I recommend using two subs of qsj and scu along with some ink res. Then, use whatever other abilities you want.
Douser dualies have become my new favorite dualie in the game! Its kit is fun and strangely good, and I just love its versatility!
I really love playing with this weapon, just listen: Jet squelcher with a dodge roll (!!!), inkmines, and killer-wail who can give you second dodge roll.. DAMN THATS AWESOME (for me) (im playin' on aggressive playstyle and i wanna make 5 stars on dousers)
It's cool to see a weapon that isn't just "short range and long range mode!", a totally new crossfire focused weapon with a close range punish option feels cool. Kinda like a fighting game zoner
I'm a jet main and the dousers are probably my new favorite weapon and I would probably say its closer to jet than squeezer. It plays very similarly except you're trading a bit of range and accuracy to have access to a dodge roll. As for buffs, I'd probably want a painting buff and maybe a slight damage buff.
as a person who mains jet squelcher and tends to only dodge roll once with dualies, dousers are one of the best main weapons I could've asked for :)

I'm currently waiting for a 2nd kit for it since the main is interesting but I'm not interested in Killer Wail 5.1 or Ink Mine. When I used it in Salmon Run I realized it has serious potential
Giving these wail makes them a pain in the ass to fight.
Most of my fave weapons actually have wail, and although it isn’t my favorite special per se, I def think it’s slept on. I get kills almost every time I pop it. Ppl freak about how “good” burst bomb is in this game but wail is that x1000
I really wanted to like Dousers, but after a while of trying I just couldn't click with them and stopped using them. I did get some success with them early on and they were super fun then, but I couldn't make it stick. That was really disappointing since I knew how good they could be when things went well. I would like to give them another shot at some point, maybe by making a new build. I think I really do need that ink saver main.
I think Douser dualies only need a paint buff and maybe an ink consumption buff.
And the recycled brella prolly just needs to use less ink and have slightly faster brella regen. I would also add a classwide change to narrow all the brellas shoot spreads.
Kinda hoping burst/storm for the next douser kit
As a Squeezer main, I really appreciate the Douser Dualies having a "panic dodge-roll option" for when someone gets way too close. It's a really refreshing all-rounder of a weapon imo.
I got so used to Douser's single dodge roll that I forgot I could do it twice when going back to Gloogas sometimes
Yeah I think this happened to me too. I was finishing getting Glooga Deco to 3 stars the other day and noticed I was rolling only one time a whole bunch. I didn't realize how used to dousers I'd gotten until then.
As a dousers main, im actually very glad that i dont have to put up with these things very often
I just wish Ink Mine didn't have such an awkward lag when placing them
if there was less lag the sub would be more useful offensively than it already can be, it would generally feel more fun to use, and it wouldn't even neccesarily be broken I think
chase can you make videos on how to get better at weaker weapons? i use 96, mini, and dread wringer and I have been constantly losing. thanks if so :) anyways I'm pretty early and I loved this video! (1 min late)

For me at least, Dousers feel like how you describe Dualie Squelchers. It just feels much more passive than the rest of the Dualies that I couldn’t really connect with it unlike the rest of the Dualies.
For some reason in a fast pace game like this i prefer playing dynamo and i guedd painbrush, im still learning on both though
What about Ink Vacuum? I feel like that special would be perfect for the Dousers if you think about it. Ink Vaccum is mostly used on Long-Range Weapons like the 96. Gal and Jet Squelcher, it might synergize well with the Dousers, and it can refill your ink tank as well save you from bad situations.
It might be decent. I'd personally want a more aggressive special though

Dualies are the best weapon class,but can you make a video about my favorite, the dapple dualies. They are WAY more underrated cause of their range. Of course it has less range but it colours better and 3 hits.

I don’t think that the recycle brella is that bad. it is really good with Ninja squid because of its amazing damage and really quick combos with the line marker. Also the big bubbler is good as bigger brella shield because the one on the main weapon is not the best

i like the dousers bc they actually hit their shots and have a good, reliable turret mode. and the range is good enough to warrant using it, unlike the dualie squelchers imo

Kinda disappointed to see my 2 biggest issues with douser dualies not acknowledged at all.
-inaccuracy, base damage, and fire rate of spread mode means and fall of damage leads to a lot of 5-7 hit markers and no splat situations. I understand that sometimes you just need to accept that all you’re getting is positional advantage out of an engagement, but its rather disheartening when you know you would have gotten a splat with any other midline weapon
-the lag on the roll kills your mobility, and no fire rate or accuracy increase can truly compensate for that. Giving up the ability to quickly make a substantial poke and then disengage if needed is very costly.

@@puellabella3580 i mean, i kinda did bring up inaccuracy and fire rate. i mention that it is slow and inaccurate, but the weapon has a large bullet size hitbox (especially compared to something like dualie squelchers) so the shots still hit more often than not.
it is costly, but thats why you only commit to the dodge roll when you know its beneficial. otherwise, just stay in spread mode and dualie hop if needed to mix up your movement. a main of run speed + IA REALLY helps with this also as i mentioned. and again, if you want to run a qr build, this can let you play around your dodge rolls more and play more dangerously

But the regular brella SHOULD have that damage and range and this new brella could’ve been like a reflection brella or a brella that you launch into the air or something like that. I just think the kit of vSplash is SO good, at least for me, idk how much you know about tech stuff, but do you know how Linux users can't stop talking about how they use Linux? It is like that for me, with both Linux and vSplash xd I do tend to watch some of your videos all the way through though, such as the one you made about last ditch effort? Been running it on all of my fits ever since.
