Interesting note: the length of the roll is the same as the amount of range lost. So if you roll forward, your effective range stays the same
As a Dualie Squelchers main (now former), this weapon makes me SO happy. It’s everything that the Squelchies wanted to be and some, but at the same time, R.I.P. Dualie Squelchers, never to be used again after the great Dowser incident 😔
The dousers have their flaws compared to squelchers. Its long range is mediocre at best with horrible paint along with short range devouring your ink tank. The singular dodge roll along with end lag hurts it a lot compared to squelchers double rolls and slides. Squelchers also have better kits
As soon as I realized that douser duelies had one roll I didn’t care I tapped out real quick. 💀

Been running this weapon with max sub power up gear, and it's been tons of fun. I can poke enemies from across map with the Dousers and wail, and if they try to rush me down, they have to deal with ink mines the size of Big Man. 😁

You can mitigate the Dousers’ horrible Dodge Roll endlag by using Killer Wail to cancel out of it
I've seen so many people say this, but it really doesn't feel like it helps at all. Wail just activates as soon as the roll is out of endlag, same as Zipcaster on Tetras.
@@falsetto6455You’re probably just not activating it at the right time it definetly does reduce end lag by a lot.
@@falsetto6455that's not true. Not sure what you're doing wrong but you can definitely cancel endlag with it
I clicked with the Douser Dualies pretty quickly since I play Rapid Blaster, so I'm used to doing support fire and doing combos with the rest of my kit. The turret mode making it usable up close for getting kills is also great since I main frontline weapons. The turret mode can be ink hungry, so I do run Ink Saver Main personally. I also really like having a Killer Wail handy to self-combo if I don't have a teammate nearby (similar to Splattershot Nova), so Special Charge Up / Tenacity also works great IMO.

Supporting slayer weapon. Charge Frontlines with a slayer to pick up or get kills. Then able to back out while still providing pressure when pulling back from a push.
My kinda play style. Love playing midline supports that can kill when it needs to.
The kit is ok. Wail and mine kinda make it a little slower than what i wanted but it works ok. A bomb and continuation special can really make it very strong. My bet is on inkjet which would be great.
In other words, all the other dualies we recieved so far have more benefits in their turret modes than their normal shooting modes. Whether and increased rate of fire, more range, smaller reticle, more dodges, ect.
This is the first dualie type I see where both firing modes are equally important, where as the other dualies favored their turret mode more
So this thing in all essence is the Tri Stringer of the Dualie class. A Mid-Long Range weapon that can play as Support or as an Anchor whenever it needs to. Heck they even share the same Special and benefit from the same perks like Thermal Ink, Main Saver, and Run Speed.
I love the new Dualies so much!

It’s an interesting weapon as a Dualie main. Most Dualies get two rolls, the Tetras get four, but the Dousers get one, but change firing modes. Not great for getting out of tight spots, but it has solid range. Fall off range is nuts. From the top of Flounder Heights, I got a splat on someone coming out of the lower area of their spawn.
Good vid. You have a lot more open minded and casual take on these weapons than a lot of others so it’s nice to see.
Oh man, I just realized seeing you fire off Killer Wail, I thought to myself "Oh, use your long range to paint around them to make it awkward for them to deal with you AND the Wail" and I immediately realized... that's what Nova does. Except Douser Dualies get a fighting mode and movement.
...and people want Inkjet on Dousers, too... oops
These outclass Gloogas so hard, but as a former S2 Gloogas main I’m totally ok with that. This weapon is cracked
I disagree, I think in a head on fight they’re about equal. I think Gloogas outclass Douser right now simply by having better kits.
Now if the second Douser kit gets a bomb + inkjet, Gloogas might be in trouble
Gloogas shred Dousers everytime, high damage and another dodge roll
Glooga post buffs is way better than dousers lol, and glooga has two amazing kits while dousers has one ass kit

@@kintri27 Gloogas are outclassed by Squeezer, Dousers fill a different niche than both, therefore Dousers > Gloogas
thanks for the guide dude! I think douser is a very interesting weapon quite unlike any other dualies so it might take some time for getting used to. I'd like more of these videos since not so many youtubers do detailed guide of each weapon or updates so I'd really appreciate it :D
I cannot WAIT for these things to get a second kit. I'd love Storm on them or something supportive like that. Wail is alright for the playstyle but imagine healing through your dodge roll endlag in rain. As for subs I'm honestly alright with it getting anything but angle shooter. It just feels like it can make so many things work

Douser Dualies are my favourite, and they made me so much better at using the Gloogas. they’re long range so I play at the rear line and anchor down while all my teammates are respawning.
Me when Douse gasoline on my enemies and straight lit them up

If the Douser have 1 roll, Splat, Googla and Squelcher have 2 and Tetra have 4, they should give 3 rolls to Dapples. To compensate the lack of range.
Midline support/chip is my favoured playstyle from what I’ve tried. Been sleeping on these cos I’m interested in the new brella but you’ve made them sound super fun! Will try them out soon :)
I think dousers are actually very strong, very versatile and can clutch up super well. I got so many insane clips with them and it’s only been a couple days. Love these things.
It's a lovely set of dualies for a back line player like me. Such lovely versatility.
As backline player I like them as backline weapon. Also cool is, if you shoot at max range standing and dodge forward, you have then the perfect range of the turret mode.
I personal would not use Quick Respawn, because of my defence play style, rather Main Saver because of the ink hungry roll to still shooting longer in turret mode.
The weapon is fun and good, but I prefer the new Glooga kit, that is so crazy fun to play.
It feels like a jet squeltcher with a dodge roll

The trailer footage slowed down showed the Dousers being a 5 shot, but it seems they patched it before release

I mean... the weapon deals 25.5 damage. It's _pretty_ easy for it to need five shots to splat. There will be a lot of that, especially if you play at range.
The amount of shooters ive seen try to push me only to get power washed since they underrated my fire rate is hilarious
the dousers are definitely a good and fun weapon, the versatility makes it especially great in salmon run imo
this weapon is super good with run speed up it reminds me of using like a slower firing heavy but it runs super fast
I like them a lot and I consider them to be a supportive slayer that conditions both the player and their opponent. Though I think it would've been a little better if they got auto bomb instead of ink mine, but just my opinion.
It's a amazing weapon with great kits and is a reason fresh season 2024 is living up to it's hype
The only thing I don't like about the weapon is Ink Mine, it's not a bad sub but I think Torpedo or Auto Bomb would had been better for it.
Outside from that I like the weapon overall, fits the supportive/backline style I'm used to as someone who mainly uses Splatlings or the Jr.'s
With how much of an ink guzzler it is, I think prep style subs work better for it. Enemies have to work to engage you, meanwhile you have the range to take them on safely. Throwing a bomb might be helpful, but it'd really hinder turret mode if you are actively engaging in a battle. Personally I'd like to see beacons on the 2nd kit.
@@JuniperGreen162 I could see beakon working if it wasn't already on 2 dualie kits including squelchers. I'd love if it got burst bomb since it's cheap and helps with chip damage especially in the long range mode
Seems amazing imo
I think if you rolled and got the longer range mode, that'd be way better. It does the bare minimum to 4 shot and that's only in the long range mode, so the falloff at range just feels horrible. Also think the roll could be a bit better but yeah. Not really vibing with this weapon that hard.

I'm in the middle, the range is amazing and the fire rate when you roll is incredible. The only issues I have with the weapon is it feels a little bit inaccurate when firing normally, also the ink efficiency on the weapon is horrible. You're constantly having to refill your inktank which is annoying. Ultimately, I think they are okay. They are not awful but they are not incredible either, but i think they are an interesting, cool, and unique weapon.
FYI, the douser dualies has the exact same fire rate as jet squelcher normally just with worse accuracy (firing once every 8 frames). After a roll it fires twice as fast, which means it's just as fast as normal dualies after a roll and is comparable to most splatlings.
Douser Dualies are kinda a little OP in my opinion, especially if u use killer whale to combo alongside ur main weapon
