Vagabond is perhaps one of the two mangas that I've read that gets better and better, after each arc. The other manga is Monster. 20th Century Boys and Goodnight Punpun are also goated though.
Such great recommendations for an anime adaptation here. Vagabond and A Bride's Story however would require a Hollywood movie budget to even come close to capturing the beauty of their respective manga. Also, ill keep my eye out on that last one, sounds amazing

Really good list but we're barely scratching the surface here. It's insane how many amazing manga are out there, not to mention manga that have never been scanlated-translated. One manga that i desperately need to see animated is Fire Punch
Yes 🙌 someone talking about Soloist in a Cage, I first heard about the series thru a Sufferents video ,after reading it,Soloist became one of the best manga I’ve read
This is the first time I've ever heard witch hat atelier getting mentioned in a video about mangas that should get an anime. I wish that witch hat gets an anime, but I hope that it is faithful and well animated.
I wish Drifting Dragons didn’t have a CG anime so it could get one it deserves. If you haven’t read it please do! It’s my favourite manga ever made and it deserves more love
Happy to see someone mentioned soloist in a cage! I think the reason it didn't gather a larger following was a ~2 year hiatus bc the author was struggling with health issues. Hopefully his next work will get more attention
If I'm buying it new, I'm pretty much always buying from Bookdepository, since they have free international shipping. Also if you use a VPN, the prices vary depending on your location. In my experience UK, Ireland and East/South-East Asia usually have the best prices. There is honestly a lot of money to be saved using a VPN. Unfortunately a lot of manga has been either out of stock or super expensive, but if you're patient, you should be able to find anything for a good price eventually. It's not rare to find manga for almost half the price of what you would get from somewhere like Outland this way
I've only dipped my toes into some of the more popular ones. I read a good amount of Oregairu back when the second season aired, I've read Konosuba, and I've read a few volumes of Spice and Wolf and Classroom of the Elite. That's pretty much the extent of my experience with LNs
I usually try to focus mainly on manga that's been translated into English when giving recommendations. Either way Homunculus is a manga that I haven't gotten around to reading yet. It's definitely on my list, though
It's mostly just that I really love the manga. I just thought the anime looked quite ugly and couldn't hold a candle to Oshimi's subtle artwork and pacing
@@harssavarthansxs5978 im one of those people. the use of rotoscoping and the sound direction are brilliant. I dont think the situations MC experiences are as impactful in the manga. The anime's realism really makes the viewer relate to the MC and maximizes the awkwardness-existencial dread.
I feel like people are far to quick to write off the anime just because of its art style when, in my opinion, it elevates the first arc which I didn’t like that much in the manga. I wasn’t a big fan of Oshimi’s early artwork, and the manga lacked a lot of the impact the anime achieved through its ambient soundtrack, realistic art style, and grounded pacing. Oshimi’s art definitely gets a lot better though and the second portion of the manga and its finale are amazing

And now the Spy x Family anime is the biggest thing ever all of a sudden
Because of the girls
It is the number one selling manga in Japan this week (3rd week of May '23)

where can i read vagabond
@@seanweese9324 you can read it online
I honestly think 20th century boys got worse. Monster was always 10/10 though, and the last arc was just 11/10. Same with goodnight punpun
I'm here just to say that 3 out of those manga got/are getting an anime adaptation. Hooray!

True and it's better to not make one then giving an adaptation like berserk.

I think everything made by Ito is worth being mentioned since all of the anime adaptations are utter garbage if they even have one
Who is ito?
@@palerjohnmeinardb.6785 I think he's talking about Junji Ito.
