love the new wheels, lucky spot before the Nullabor. The superpit is amazing to see, we don't have them in UK. saw it in 2004. safe travels. Potato the duck was looking for shade 😎
07:40 Fun Fact. I pulled into Bridgestone at Port Augusta needing a tyre replaced (spare) on the way home from the Gibb to Canberra. I had the carcass (GT Grabber) but they said that because they didn't sell GTs they couldn't fit the tyre. Popped next door, explained the problem, free fitment and balance, and bought another GT carcass. Some commercial operations are plain dumb or ignorant. That was 2018. I once asked El Questro to secure me eight new tyres from Kununurra, $50 for delivery and $200 to balance and fit. Now onto Cooper tyres - ubiquitous around the country. My Coopers are 285/75/17 for 33.8", up from 30.5" OEM and 32.2" on the 17s, and not readily available in Oz (special order), so not so ubiquitous. The speedo correction is a horrendous price, just need to keep an eye on the SatNav speed. I have 10 carcasses stored around Oz with friends/family, so if I need one, I'll just get it air bagged to where I am; assuming that I lose two tyres :)
The mines in both Kal and Mt Isa actually have shafts running under parts of the towns. In Kal there is a buy-back going on in a couple of suburbs because the underground blasting is shaking shit out of houses until they have become unsafe.
Great video guys 👌So good you guys could get the new wheels so quickly! What an adventure that would have been if they'd gone on the Nullarbor 😬Hope you had a safe trip across!
Hi Guys Thanks for a another great episode Question…where did you get that BBQ slide out from? I’ve got the same Barbie….just looking for the sliding out Cheers
If those rims are off a Ford then they are not alloy but they are plastic. When you get back to that dealer get them to cut it with a hacksaw and you will see it
Hi Mike! No they didn’t, like most parts on caravans your claim ends up going through the manufacturer of the product, in this case being the wheel company who did replace the rims at no cost to us.
@@GrabLifeByTheGourlays One less likely to crack. You can bash and weld a steely. And they are more readily available remotely. They also don't expand as much as alloys.
Not good I have a jayco and they have porous rims and been waiting on jayco to send new rims taken they 7 months so far as they have approved it just not posting them
Excellent demonstration of why it’s important to do regular walk arounds and checks. Good pick up.
Thanks!

Love the coopers! Great tyres 👍🏼
10:42, In pt headland, they turned one of those dump truck buckets into a giant wheel barrow, it just sits outside in front of a hardware or cafe.
Very cool!
Love it and so awesome meeting you guys yesterday!🤙🏽
Great to run into you guys!!
Wow. That could have been really nasty if that wheel had let go at 90 k’s.
Agreed!
The mines in both Kal and Mt Isa actually have shafts running under parts of the towns.

Wow that’s crazy! Love checking out the mining towns and seeing how they used to do it back in the day!
Roxby downs mine has 900km of road under ground, and there only 30% done, you can here them drill at night 6km from the mine
Great stuff guys
Thank you!!
08:35 Near town? Wait 'till you get to Mount Isa - the city is built around the mining.
Can’t wait to get up that way!
I like the heat to, they look like better wheels anyway
Yeah the do look good 👍🏼
Great video guys 👌So good you guys could get the new wheels so quickly! What an adventure that would have been if they'd gone on the Nullarbor 😬Hope you had a safe trip across!
Thank you!!
It would have been disastrous if they had have broken on the Nullarbor!
that's why i run steel rims, on our van and 4x4
Yeah you can’t go wrong with Steelies!
Hi Guys
Thanks for a another great episode
Question…where did you get that BBQ slide out from?
I’ve got the same Barbie….just looking for the sliding out
Cheers
Hey!
That slide comes standard on the gator x as part of the front tool box, no different to most of the fridge slides you can buy
Great vid. Loved the content. Keep them coming
Thank you so much mate!!
If those rims are off a Ford then they are not alloy but they are plastic. When you get back to that dealer get them to cut it with a hacksaw and you will see it

Safe travels Mate 🙏checking the rigs is important 👍
Greetings and cheers 🍻 from south africa 🇿🇦
Thank you mate!!
Good call on the wheels, they would have been close to letting go.
So glad we spotted it when we did!!
Hi , safe travels, I wonder if I can ask for your experience with the ranger , I’m thinking of getting a second hand one , thanks Andre
The Ranger has been fantastic! If towing a lot with it would highly recommend a trans cooler 👍🏼
Bloody good pick up with the wheels....That could have been very ugly 🤦♂
Yeah we were very lucky to notice it!!
Always run landcruiser or hilux steel rims easier to find out wander
Yeah that’s a good point!
So Alex, did JB pay for new rims, did tyre place indicate what csused cracks
Hi Mike! No they didn’t, like most parts on caravans your claim ends up going through the manufacturer of the product, in this case being the wheel company who did replace the rims at no cost to us.
What wheelie happened?
😂😂 someone had to say it!!
As nice as alloys look, run steel.
Why is that?

Yes wouldn’t mind steel wheels but it was a like for like replacement in this situation 👍🏼
Yer put on steelies , landcuiser or hilux the easiest to find out wander
Not good I have a jayco and they have porous rims and been waiting on jayco to send new rims taken they 7 months so far as they have approved it just not posting them
