Well you three, a very nice video. I'm always amazed what there is not everything to see in Australia, very nice.
Laugh, frightening is only, you drive all on the wrong side of the road. Amazing and that without accidents.
Best regards and nice wishes, from Frankfurt.

I guess it would look frightening to you if you drive on the other side.

We seem to share this fascinating feeling of beeing attracted to old cemeteries. All those stories untold.
A great mixture of australian nature and road life, captured in your very natural and personal way. Thanks guys, for sharing these experiences with us 😀😎

That was fascinating around Kalgoorlie and the mines.
Here's a way to measure the depth of a hole by dropping a stone and measuring the time (T) it takes to hit the ground: Depth = 4.9 x T x T, so if it takes 2 seconds, then its around 19.6m ( 4.9 x 2 x 2), if it takes 3 seconds then its 44.1m deep etc. - use the calculator on your mobile to do the calcs and use the stopwatch to estimate the time (those 0.1s matter). What does it matter? Just raw curiosity I guess.
Some day soon, I'll be on the road with my better half. Its videos like this that keep the fire for travel well and truly lit. Thank you guys.

Fantastic again. Karl’s description of the plains below Madura, spot on. My thoughts too when we came over that hill heading west on our bikes. So annoyed I never stopped for a photo back then, we were travelling with others who were not interested in stopping for pics. On our way back the weather was against us, so again no photos. And that view where you camped on the edge of our beautiful country, wow.

My guess is that the high country they were camped on is the original coastline, and the plains are the old sea floor. Fascinating place, Cheers.

i was there earlier in the late february, i literaly got stuck in one of the dirt roads back there because they had become illegal to drive on and impassible. had to stay at a farm until it opened up. road was still like an ice skating ring at times in places even when it did open up

A very interesting episode !!. The old hotel ruins were interesting, there was a lot of nice work left in that, it would have been a great place in its day. A very interesting observation on the facing of the grave site Katt, I have no idea, only to say that they mightn't have liked the rising sun in their eyes !!. Thanks for sharing that, take care and stay safe, Cheers.

Hey BigKev, glad you enjoyed. The ruins were amazing the last person left that little town in 1942, can't believe it was just left to fall apart. Someone has also mention the rising sun in the cemetery. I think I have some research to do, as it bugs me not knowing 😂😂 Cheers Katty

@@nowhereboundtouring Another thought. The lady passed away in 1897, only 2 years after the place kicked off, so I wonder if they were still getting the place organised then. I wouldn't have thought there'd be too many plots taken up in that time !!??. Having said that, you'd expect that they would know which way east was !!!!. Cheers.
