Hey, Mark - that is a sweet pipe that suits you. The classic shapes don't disappoint. I've not had Bothy Flake, but it sounds like one that should be on my list to try. Although a pipe or a cigar is great at any time of the year, autumn seems like it is the pipe season. Classic pipes, rich, quality tobaccos, and great whiskeys. The time to enjoy life and slow down. Be well and keep it awesome - peace 👍
Hiyas Mark, I really enjoy Bothy Flake!! The peaty whisky notes are right there for you to savor. You are absolutely correct; slow your cadence down and let the flavors come to you. That is a handsome pipe; so light and it hangs well too. Well we had a perfect "farmer's rain" today steady and constant with much cooler temps! Huzzah, welcome to autumn, my favorite time of year; so glad it's here. Serene smokes my friend Gary
@@oldandintheway1955 Hello Gary, such a beautiful tasting blend, looking forward to enjoying more of this blend. What a treat, I am starting to think I live in the wrong place when it comes to pipe tobaccos. The Peretti Peterson will certainly become a favorite. Happy to hear you had some rain, we are in need of a nice slow rain here as things are very dry. Have a great week Regards Mark
Hello Mark, over the decades the Bothy Flake has become a firm favourite of mine for this time of the year, and whilst enjoying a bowl is for myself synonymous with back-end season Salmon fishing for sure.... Lovely pipe, suitably crafted for a wonderful contemplative smoke. Tight Lines, Steve.
@@3riverspiper1792 Hello Steve, this really is a tasty blend, I can see why you enjoy it so much. Outstanding flavors and aftertaste. As for the pipe, good memories will be made. Regards Mark
Morning, Mark. Good to see ya, as always. Autumn's become my favourite season, too. Many of the places I hike and camp tend to be less busy from this time of year onwards, which is a pretty welcome change. Glad you were able to enjoy a bowl to mark the occasion. Bothy Flake's on my list, for sure. Take care.
@@PolyporePiper It a nice feeling when things start to slow down and the you get the beautiful colors associated with the season. Bothy is definitely worth a try. Regards Mark
Hello Mark, yes it’s that time of year the seasons are changing as do our palate’s as the colder weather approaches. I’ve never tried the Bothy flake yet but I know it’s one of Bobs favourites, I’m getting a real taste for Solani aged burley flake and it’s what I’m smoking now in my Falcon extra bent and it’s a fine smoke. Well this week the weather is turning and temperatures are to drop with flood alerts for further down the country, I think we are getting away with the bulk of it here but you never know eh, we’ll take it as we find it. Good to see you as always mate and have a great week.
@@PiperX1X Hello Jonathan. First bowl was fantastic, unlike any blender I have had before (first impression at least) was very enjoyable and leaves a great aftertaste as odd as that may sound. Yes the weather is making the change, but I welcome it. Sounds like you have a good combination with the Solani and Falcon. Wish you the best of luck with the incoming weather, stay dry and stay safe. Regards Mark

Morning Mark, great to see you, Monday morning coffee before head out to work, this video will set me up for the day, glad you like the bothy, definitely a sipper I’ve noticed this a lot with tobaccos get so much more flavour coming through, best time of the year for me also, 😊😊😊. Autumn is my favourite time of year! I tend to crack out the English blends as the weather turns but I'm loving a few aromatics at the moment. Can't beat a good pipe and bowl in the warm on a cold, wet day! Stay smokey dude 😎🤙
@backcountrypipe Well Johnathan sent me some X1X blend and I'm loving that. I'm also really enjoying some sweet killarney. 😋 Autumn needs to last longer for sure! I love the smell of the leaves on the ground.

Nice pipe, glad you had something good for it's first fire! 10 bowls of plug wouldn't bother me in the slightest! 😂
