My son and I got separated in a large department store when he was 3yrs old, it was the most painful and stressful 15 minutes of my life while myself and the employees looked for him. It was pure torture not knowing where he was. I remember looking at the exit as people casually walked in and out and had the horrific realization that someone could just walk out with him as if he was their own. My heart breaks for Teekah’s mom.
@@_anon_4532 I went on to make a corporate complaint about their lack urgency and utilization of a Code Adam. In those terrified moments I’m telling you, there is nothing more horrific than realizing you only have yourself to rely on, these 16-18yr old Walmart employees cannot grasp the scary reality of the situation. They were “poorly trained and under staffed” was the response to my complaint.
This case has stuck with me for many years. Her poor mother took her eyes off her for a matter of seconds and Teekah disappears. No clues. Just gone. It's so freaking heartbreaking. 💔
Glad to see people still keeping Teekah's case alive and circulating. I live in Washington state. This case has always stuck with me. I truly hope she's still alive and was raised by someone that wanted a child but wasn't able to have one. I just had my 3rd child 2 months ago and I'm a straight helicopter mama.
Sounds like Teekah's mother was also a helicopter mom. The poor woman turned away for mere seconds to tend to her other child and boom, Teekah was gone. Sadly, that's all it takes. But it's physically impossible to keep eyes on your child every single second, and even more so when added children are involved. It's awful and terrifying that being a helicopter parent isn't enough to fully avoid such an horrendous occurrence. This world has too many scary people.
@@josephzacharias7992"Helicopter parenting" is a term that has been around a while becoming popular in the last decade. This story is so heart breaking! My son is now 35 years old, but my mother used to get so upset with me because I would never let him go out alone at 4 years old! Unfortunately, there are very evil people in this world and you have to watch them like a hawk! It's ashame that a family can't go out for a good time and not have this happen!
Yes! I’m same way with my son & he’s 15 now! I STILL don’t want him outta my sight! I was always warned as a kid, almost taken twice, & am very aware it only takes a second. A second for the parent to look away & a second for an abductor to take advantage!
I'm from Washington! Anytime I've been to a bowling alley I think about Teekah and the Las Cruces bowling alley massacre. It never sat well with me how Teekah was allowed to play by herself so close to an entrance/exit door. Especially if there had been cases of children being harassed or assaulted in or around the bowling alley. Sadly I doubt Teekah is still alive.
@@michelleprieur1that’s why small children should never be physically separated from you in public places. Being able to see them from across the room is not enough.
I hope Teekah sees this video. She knows the older young lady looks like herself, she is 27 years old and her "mom" acted odd over the years. We all pray you are still alive and have been given a great life.. But your mom and siblings still miss you along with other family members... Stay safe out there everyone 🙏 Much love from North Carolina ❤️
I lived in Tacoma when this happened & it was so crazy. Tacoma was a blue collar town, small & quiet. I think it's probably still like that. I moved to Seattle, which was more of a party town. The next time I heard about Teekah on the news was @ 15 yrs later & I was shocked that she still hadn't been found. 😢😢
SweetUni, I once lived in Gig Harbor and returned to visit last summer. Seemed that Tacoma had become less blue-collar. As the home prices around University Place had skyrocketed. Polygraph tests don't really mean much one way or another and I certainly don't think someone should be declared innocent or guilty purely based on the result of the test because they aren't accurate anyway
This happened in my home town. I remember hearing about this. My family and I bowled there more times than I can count as I lived a block away. I still live in Tacoma and many in our area still talk about this. I pray one day they find out who did this.
Absolutely gorgeous little girl. Sweet Teekah. You see parents all the time letting their children run around wild and un-watched. Terrifying! 😮 Edit: I totally think a woman took Teekah to raise. Babies that are abducted are typically taken by women to replace a “lost” child, an infertile woman, & if it was a man-it’s still possible he took her for his gf or wife for the same reasons.
