Quite the opposite- it was swept under the rug. This case is only remembered by those who become fascinated with true crime. If the father murdered his family inside the home, the police probably ruined their initial days of investigation and overlooked evidence of the crime. Gaining a new identity, hiding four bodies, and getting a new ID are challenging endeavors. However, it was easier to achieve that 20 years ago, before the rise of digital era. Early 2000s in Poland were quite dark times in terms of unresolved murders and disappearances. In 2003, one million zlotych was an unthinkably large sum of debt. If he is still alive, he is most likely in Western Europe, where he may even be posing as an immigrant from a country other than Poland.
Father being alone in the house givng excuses on where his family is and painting the attic... The daughter's diary was left there. If she would run away for sure she would take it as a first thing. I'm just wondering how did he manage to hide the bodies so well?
It sounds like the father killed his family and then went on the run. He set up a series of alibis that would (he hoped) explain the family’s absence, thus giving him time to get away. He might still be out there somewhere, but sadly, I think the rest of the family was murdered long ago.
This is my theory as well. Too many of the details add up to this scenario. I know if I went on vacation I would never leave my medication behind so the fact the son’s medication wasn’t taken raised an immediate red flag. Well that and the food.
At first I thought that maybe the family left together to start anew elsewhere.. until the sister and father turned up to the house and dad was visibly stressed and wouldn’t allow them inside the home. Unfortunately I believe he annihilated his family and then disappeared himself into obscurity or offed himself shortly after. It’s very peculiar that the family members bodies were never found and zero evidence of a crime happening at all. The other cases like Robert fisher and the DuPont case the family members were found.. very very strange.

Thank you for covering this case. I'm from Łódź and it's interesting to hear about Bogdańskis on a foreign channel, especially since there was not much covered about them in Polish media.
They are likely all dead. It is difficult enough for one person to disappear and assume a new identity, let alone a whole family. If they left as a family, at the very least the boy would have had his asthma medication with him. If the father strangled or suffocated them it would be quiet and “clean.” During the many days that he was at home alone, he could have been somehow disposing of their bodies. If any of them are alive, it’s just him…like that American family killer John List.
This is my theory - the father lied about a trip, took the passports as a red herring, took his family away, killed them (medications left behind?) and went off on his own. Or he may have killed his family and then himself. All that debt is an awful escape motivator.
You can't really take much account of small amounts of blood. People do cut their fingers, have menstrual accidents, etc. I test for blood sugar and though I take care, sometimes a recent puncture will break open again. It's something to note, but in very small quantities indicative of nothing but living. That said, I believe the family is dead, possibly at the hands of the father.
Exactly, especially since there are a lot of things you do in the garage that can cause you to get hurt. The same as when renovating the house or taking care of the garden.
You'd think this case would've had more international coverage but it hasn't. For their families' sake, I hope the truth comes to light, and sooner rather than later.
There was a similar case in the USA. I can't remember whether is was in the 1950's or 60's. The man was financially strapped (he was an accountant). He had his mother and two kids living with him and his wife. The only difference was that he killed the whole family and took off.. They found him 20 years later living a quiet, "decent" life. They arrested him, and put him away.
I don't want to accuse the father as it's entirely possible that he didn't do anything. This reminds me of the disappearance of the McStay family, and they were all victims. Just tragic all around.
I will accuse the father. He stayed alone in the house for several day. Why? Where was his family at the time? Why didn't he raise alarm that they're missing, rather than give conflicting stories where they all were? Innocent man doesn't do that. Either he knows where they all went (under fake identities), and then followed them himself, or more likely, he killed them all and vanished himself under assumed name. My money is on the last hypothesis.
....................the truth will out..............eventually! If you have X amount of people and all but 1 disappears, the question sort of answers itself?
Seems to me that the man of the house was having problems keeping food on the table, so he eliminated a few of the mouths that needed feeding, he either moved to a different country and changed his name or went into the forest alone and ate a bullet, regardless of his end he most likely "lightened the load" when it comes to the family.
Imo, the family, less the dad, are at the bottom of a fairly large body of water or buried in some remote wooded area somewhere. As for the father, he either went on the run or later off'd himself in a separate location. My first guess would be that he went on the run, although the length of time he's been missing with no trace gives me considerable pause in that opinion. Wow! Well done Poland on what I think have to be the BEST and most REALISTIC age-progression photos I've EVER seen! Obviously, (duh! 😂) I'm not harbouring the family so I can't say for absolute certainty of how accurate they are... But usually age-progression photos are generally cartoon looking, and probably hinder the investigation (imo) rather than help. The least realistic one I felt, was of the daughter, in the sense of, you can tell it had been edited, something about the nose - mouth area seemed unrealistic, but the others are incredible! Particularly the Mother. (wife) Interesting case regardless, beautifully narrated as always, and your foreign pronunciations are getting ridiculously impressive at this point too, well done! It's so respectful and professional of you to take the trouble to learn how to pronounce so many languages correctly. My daughter is married to a son of a Polish man, so her surname is Polish. That doesn't make me an expert btw, even my son in law is not an expert! 😂 Actually nor is his Father as far as I'm aware! 🙄 Their surname is Jurczynski, pronounced YOO TRINCE KEY. One Polish tradition I think is sweet, is that Jurczynski is their married family surname, (Mr & Mrs Jurczynski, or The Jurczynski Family) and is also her husband's and four son's surname in their own right. BUT, in documents concerning my daughter and their only daughter on their own, their surname is Jurczynska, pronounced YOO TRINCE CAR. Polish males end in "i" and females end in "a". I think that's cute! I guess similar to the French using masculine or feminine words...although I've still never figured out how a book or chair or table have genders! 😳 😂😂😂 (To be clear...NOT the age-progression photos towards the end of the video! 😮 Yeah, they are about as good as a chocolate teapot and the more typical photos seen in these cases! 😂)
Someone might have enticed then away somewhere and then murdered them if a struggle happened in the house i feel evidence of some sort would have been found but its as if they magically disappeared so the most likely outcome is that they were elsewhere and murdered and then their bodies were disposed of
Comes to mind that he killed Her Mother, and ran away with the rest of the family. Maybe She even died by accident. Probably the Mother was aggainst escaping, as the oldest person and with a rather characteristic appearance (right eye), She was also the greatest threat when hiding. He had taken too much time and effort to hide the traces of his plans, if he planned to kill everyone, including himself - he didnt have to take any of these steps. One interesting thing: they had debts, but the house + land which they left behind, exactly one year after these events, rapidly increased in value, this was related to Polands accession to the UN, when real estate prices in Poland skyrocketed. In my opinion he knew about it. DC, thank You for the case from Poland.
Classic family annihilator. Some or all were lured to the attic & killed. I might believe they were alive if it weren't for medications & favorite items being left behind. Research into the psychology of family annihilators shows that they are often failing at their perceived duty to take care of their family "properly," so they kill them & start over. Some think that some of them possibly think they're putting people out of their misery. I personally believe they're embarrassed & angry & just want to selfishly start with a clean slate.
Very confused about how much time passed between the phone call and the sister actually going to the house?? A week before Easter (day of call) would've been the 13th... but you said the house visit was the 11th. That's negative 2 days 🙃😒
They've gotten away clean, which may be a good thing for a family that was dragged into something they didn't expect. I won't give away the clues I heard because the remaining family that are alive deserve to be protected. If the daughter's diary can be de-coded then there may be some understanding of this case. She's not that ditsy, she's her father's daughter. The adults in the family got involved with the wrong people trying to maintain their lifestyle and those people took it too far. The father got his family out quickly and stayed behind as a decoy until all were safe. He shooed away relatives to keep them safe also and to put any blame on himself afterwards. Then, he got out, maybe safe, maybe not. He cleaned up the mess and did a crackerjack job of it to protect those he loves! What he did would not be possible now because there's too much Big Brother in the Internet, so they are lucky. I wish them well.
@@gary-rr7jp possibly. There are other things that go through that part of the world as well but drugs are a huge possibility. Especially with his knowledge of the Internet.
(wife)
Interesting case regardless, beautifully narrated as always, and your foreign pronunciations are getting ridiculously impressive at this point too, well done!
Their surname is Jurczynski, pronounced YOO TRINCE KEY.
😂😂😂
(To be clear...NOT the age-progression photos towards the end of the video! 😮 Yeah, they are about as good as a chocolate teapot and the more typical photos seen in these cases! 😂)
Hope, wherever they are, they have managed to hide themselves and are living a peaceful life
Why would he paint the attic???
He got tired of beige.
Exactly.
Well weird.
Sounds like a family anihilator
behind a false wall in the attic i guess
Check the waters 😢🥺
Another family annihilator😢
Someone might have enticed then away somewhere and then murdered them if a struggle happened in the house i feel evidence of some sort would have been found but its as if they magically disappeared so the most likely outcome is that they were elsewhere and murdered and then their bodies were disposed of
✔️
Ordinary families dont have debts of a quarter million euros
This is so sus
Dad did it I am 100% certain
John List anyone!!!
I grew up with the Czech pronunciation of Bozena, hearing the Polish pronunciation drives me nuts.
Perhaps they did manage to make a clean getaway, and are missing because that's exactly what they want.
Did police check the attic? Seems like he killed everyone and then himself..
In the video it said cadaver dogs were deployed.
They are all dead.
Very confused about how much time passed between the phone call and the sister actually going to the house?? A week before Easter (day of call) would've been the 13th... but you said the house visit was the 11th. That's negative 2 days 🙃😒
Both sister have the same first name? Isn’t that a bit odd? This poor family… After all this time and they have not been found… 😢
Daughter and sister of the mother (in other words the girl's aunt) have the same name.
Wow, seems like they may have driven into the ocean or something along the lines. 😢😢😢.
I think they have escaped. In 2003 it was much easier. There is no evidence of murder.
Drugs - it's always drugs.
@@gary-rr7jp possibly. There are other things that go through that part of the world as well but drugs are a huge possibility. Especially with his knowledge of the Internet. I'm not pursuing it further because if I'm right, I don't want them found. If I'm wrong, I pray that they are found and justice catches up.
It sounds like they deliberately left.
Idk but I think the lady in the thumbnail all the way to the right ate them
Have they checked Israel?
He murdered them, cremated them and mixed them into the attic paint
He killed them all..that's why he was so jumpy...and left with a new identity
The way You butcher polish names is insulting. Next time use google translate.
We did.
Dude nobody can pronounce polish words
Funny polish speaking folk have commended translation.
I think her pronunciations were commendable given the difficulty & her possibly not speaking Polish.

Never a good or bad result from these videos
Unfulfilled answers and always open to speculation 😂
