How about you talk like a man with ur God given voice.?!…you sound like somebody cut ur balls off.man up .or if you wanna woman up ,change ur apperance and keep the voice.😉Im just saying .its not vibing
so i been a middle man with business and i been interested taking it to the next level with government contracts THIS WAS THE GUY i needed to watch thank you for the awesome video
This was interesting because being an admin who coordinates many things, that is how this sounds to me. Especially with him just being more detailed with Facebook marketplace. I have to do invoices and the business uses the net30. Some people don’t mind investing in self but not all the time do funds allow. I’ve invested in things that didn’t work as well. I personally work better with someone I can ask questions because I am a questioner. Love this. I’m not afraid to fill out things wrong as that is how you learn many times.
My biggest concern is, if you have someone in a different state do work for you. What if they don’t do a good job? Since you are not on site and they take advantage of the situation?
@@brianvenuto3976 we will never know lol however he is right. Learn to apply fast and keep doing it dont be afraid. next week am meeting with my county gov in NJ for networking.
His approach is pretty cool. I love how many angles you can go after the government contracting thing. I'm a niche type of person, but many catch my interest which I plan to explore.
This was a good interview.. straight to the point.. no overthinking the process.. I’m going to also go this route.. I’ll be the middleman but no employees.. he made a really good point.. if your profit is not high it doesn’t matter what the totally contract is if you only took home $3,000 for a $3 million project.. since this is my area of expertise finance and procurement.. I’m going to leverage my current knowledge.. just waiting now on my cage code to be sent..
Hello sharyon, would you be interested in coaching me a little bit? I’d like to get in contact because you seem knowledgeable but I don’t yet understand how to write or search for contracts. Thanks in advance :)
I've heard about these but wasn't sure how they happen but this dude makes it seem super easy having other people handle services and just pay them net 30. I agree with the high bidding if you win it you want the profits. The tax stuff makes me nervous though would not want to mess that up.
Great video! Your videos are helping me think outside the box, super informative! I think contracting is right up my alley. Just waiting on my Cage code. I’m so ready to bid.
@KizzyParks I've recently learned about the SBA limitations implemented to illegalize the passing through 100% of work to a subcontractor and was wondering what examples would qualify as "work" for the contracts won either out of state or outside of their technical skills. Your guests would mention winning contracts in the field in which they had no experience in...for example, one of your guest has multiple grease trap contracts and he has yet to even see a grease trap in person. So, unless the contractor's wins are
Do not try to speed up your process. Paying someone to vocally tell you something. YT or local networking will tell you for free. A coach or not, it's still a personal learning process. And its gonna take you about a year maybe year in a half. If you really want it keep your $ to pay for those expenses.
The hard part is staying consistent when the motivation is gone. It's a puzzle so you're gonna get stuck but doing YT/Books/Forums/local research/library/community research is the way to go.
@KizzyParks how much is your training course? In 2024 with uDemy - linkedin Learning and other platforms. I highly suggest newbies to work on this business the long way. Read the books take the deeply discounted courses and free courses. If you get 18 months in, maybe get a "mentor" from the crimey internet. But one thing is for sure saving your money to invest in the business vs. Spending money on a mentor then having barley any additional funds to support your project isn't the play to make. All a "mentor" is gonna do is have you READ anyway. Might as well read it for free. It'll take a while but success will not be overnight. Buy a notebook take notes and journal is the way I'd go.
How much is your course and his? Pay or no pay. This process takes time to learn. I am going to have to study regardless. So why pay someone 1k+ to talk to someone when UA-cam-Udemy-Linkedin and the bookstore have the information for free or way more affordable. That money can go into investing in needs to fund the project. Either path, I gotta stay consistently learning the process myself and using the free local and internet resources is the better investment.
Hello this was a great and informative video! I have been looking into government contracting for a few years and letting naics codes stop me. I want to do the middleman strategy and was wondering how do you choose the naics codes since you do so many things? And do they have an impact on what you bid on?
That’s my question exactly; what NAICS Code do you use when you bid on everything, because I don’t believe that you can change it every time. (I don’t think.)
What kind of LLC do I open if I want to do something similar to Dr. Wes, as in I don't have a particular niche and open to different services/products. What kind of small business LLC should I open ?
What's his business names he wins contracts with, I cant find them? I see K. Parks Consulting on USA Spending and the numbers checks out. I'm just trying to vet the information I'm given
So for your first contract you would have had to be registered in both states, correct Dr. Wes? I’m trying to understand how you were able to middleman from one state to the other.
That’s been one of my biggest fear to just branch out outside if DMV for years I wanted to do this he is conforming why I haven’t been successful. I knew but good to see it again
OMG Dr. Fisher is so freaking hilarious!!! I love his attitude, his energy, and philosophy. It's wonderful to see people in this business with totally different perspectives and goals, still winning.
Hello love your videos! Looking to retire next year from the Fed Gov looking for something to do. I have an account at SAM but how would I set one up for myself and acquire my own UEID CAGE? Do I need to atrt a LLC?
It depends on the award. Typically, contracts are discussed in terms of the full amount. Such as $8M over 5 years, $23M over 5 years and so on. For one and done contracts it’s typically discussed in terms of lump sum or contract award amount.
I have a quick question. If i open a small business with basically no available capital and win a contract and then i outsource that contract to another company to fulfill the 100% of the manual labor and i take a more facilitating role is that illegal? Im finding a lot of conflicting information online regarding this question.
I love his attitude. He’s like me his sarcasm is gold. I hope no one gets offended or put off. This is just the way we are wired. My cousin hate it. I apologize for he and I.
The things about the middle man approach is the ppl that do that are very easy to out bid when you have a business in that specific industry, Solid work history, and overall more knowledgeable on the contract details.
Hey Kizzy, so I bought your Make More Money course and I noticed that it said BONUS. Is there a set of courses that goes along with that? i'm really confused on how to get started.
I was looking around on there and saw a post for pest control on multiple buildings but it didn't say how many sq feet the buildings were.... how are you supposed to bid without knowing how big the job is? 🤷♂ Another one for a fencing job but it didn't tell how many feet of fencing they needed.
Very interesting and valuable information , I’m just curious about him saying that he got a contract for an HVAC duct cleaning? I’m assuming he got an HVAC license right? Unless the government doesn’t care who is doing the job as long as the job gets done which I really doubt. I understand that he hired an HVAC company that I’m assuming is licensed to get the job done , but still not his license, Any inside on that?

Can you tell me more about what I would get if I bought the middle man approach in the link you shared?
Do I need an LLC to get a cage code to get started? Thanks 🙏

Q
Knowing how to write the contract in their “language” and knowing how to price without coming short is key in this business. That’s the hardest part!
Yes.
Do you have a video on how to do that?
Write a contract for the government? Or for the subcontractors?
I am a born middle person..I always say I can get anyone anything..*** ding ding*** this could be the winner 😊
Same here!! I’m known as a connector. People contact me for various resources. ❤❤❤ best of luck
So happy u two did an interview together- watching you both separately has greatly inspired me ⭐️

This is so great. Thank you two. So nicely done very helpful.
My biggest concern is, if you have someone in a different state do work for you. What if they don’t do a good job? Since you are not on site and they take advantage of the situation?
Then you don't pay them ;-) They only get paid when work is completed and approved by the government.
Create and share expectations with them, inform them they will only receive payment once they’ve been met and the government approves the work.
He answered all questions with: yes apply everyday to everything.

Did he make 450K, like cleared? Or was awarded 450K ?

You are up next.
Great interview thanks Kizzy!

Been purging on all of this amazing content learning for the past 48 hours.
Love it!!!
@23:00 Real Estate is an area that needs to be explored
It will be in an upcoming interview.
It does. I haven’t found many helpful videos on it.
I'm blown away that you bid an HVAC cleaning contract without going to visit the the location. How do you get comfortable doing that?
It’s part of being a business owner. Taking and loving risk.
Great video you two and thanks
You guys truly broke things down in perspective 🫶🏾🫶🏾 👌🏿👌🏿

It's SOOOOO Good to be VERSATILE adapt & do DIFFERENT Things!
Since these are government contracts, is there any security clearance requirements for me and any sub-contractors?
Only if the solicitation requires it.

As a sub yes.
OMG Dr. Fisher is so freaking hilarious!!! I love his attitude, his energy, and philosophy. It's wonderful to see people in this business with totally different perspectives and goals, still winning.

Subcontracting and size standard rules and regulations.

Whats the formula for building in profit?
My 2 fav people!
My Mentor Dr. Wes!
So when you win the contract is that amount for the year per each year award. So example $450,000 per year for 5 years?
It depends on the award. Typically, contracts are discussed in terms of the full amount. Such as $8M over 5 years, $23M over 5 years and so on. For one and done contracts it’s typically discussed in terms of lump sum or contract award amount.
So do you have to have insurance and a company In the field in which putting these proposals in?
Not at all.
With Wes's pricing strategies or marking up like 30-50%, surprised he gets any contracts
😱
I watch his videos and he's a likeable guy, but I think his pricing strategy is terrible@@KizzyParks
27:08 Good point Wes. Can you share what your profit was on your $450K contract?
Wait so if they do change the sow & it cost more than what you bid, what should you do?
Ask for a coat adjustment.
You can only bid contracts below 250k until you get a contract of that size.
Not at all. You can go bigger.
Amazing 🤩
Thank you! Cheers!

what about NAICS? how do you bit on contracts with different codes?
To be a "middleman" do you only pursue contract in you NAICS code or can you go after ANY contract?
How do you get around the 15% contributing from your company must provide .. you cant find a service and just bid a higher price?
It depends…. on a lot of factors.

What's his full name? His contact info isn't in the description box.
No worries. Just rewatch it. I believe he states it.
So basically with a sub .. you must have money on hand to start a contract because the gov dnt pay upfront for a service or product?
The hvac contract did he send that bid price in or did they say they are paying 450,000 to get this job done?
What company code does he categorize his own company under? What’s it name and how does he present himself to the vendor he uses?
Great questions.
Do any of you guys do FOIAs when you lose to determine why you lost?
I request a debrief.
So as a middle man do u still have to register your business with Sam. Gov
Yup

Do you need a business license to have a government contract?
