The Deep Tech was originally made in 2014-15 and was brought back by Steve because of the high interest and demand that this iconic model brings. I already own three from the original version and I purchased the blue and orange Deep Techs with the black Sapphire bezel and I absolutely love them both. Actually this version I find very boring that's why I went with color. It is not too top heavy and I wear them every other day.
Wearing mine now :) Great job with the review. My wrist is 6.75 in and I find this watch more than wearable for me. I haven’t taken it off for over a week now. I also love chunky divers though so maybe it’s not for everyone.
While I really like the design and finishing of the Raven, and the fact that it comes in cool dial colors, the thickness is too much for me. I would not wear it. Great to look at though. It is similar in my mind to a massive Jeep modded for back country use. Do I like the looks and the promise of extreme capability in all conditions? Absolutely. Do I admire the specs and equipment? Yes. Would I ever use any of that in the city environment where I spend 95 to 98% of my time? No. Would the unwieldy dimensions of the vehicle be cumbersome and flat out unnecesarry in daily use? Yes. Would I grow to dislike it and sell it and be happy I sold it? Yes. Too bad, I am envious of those who get to explore the limits of such a watch...and of such a vehicle. But it ain't me, man. Haha. --Michael
These depth rating are just ridiculous. Nice watch, don't take me wrong, just that I don't see the point of anything of that WR resistance. You mention being able to dive so deep, tell me how a human body would be able to widstand 250atm pressure???? That represents 25 metric tonnes (2 x class7 heavy duty trucks) on the palm of your hand.
@@johnmuthan286 yeah what I mean is that I think most people understand it won't be tested at that actual depth. It's more of a 'because I can' approach. :)
@@jetwow1112 and that is my point. In opposition to your analogy with sports car that one might use to its full potential in specific infrastructures (racing circuits / private roads, etc). Such watch could not and never be worn by anyone to even approach its so-called specifications!!!! The deepest any human has ever gone, a military man and with very special assistance was just short of 333 meters, the rest is just useless as a human being would not resist pressure.
Watches, clocks and pocket watches are fragile at best....water and/or moisture and dust or shock are not kind....so the depth rating, for me, is a quiet kind of insurance.....and I welcome it. Not too, too tall mind you.....its about feeling the build quality....done well.....

That’s so raven
Cool looking watch. Is the date a true big date where the tens and ones adjust separately, or is it just larger in dimensions. Hard to tell for sure.
Can you review the Brew Mastergraph/Retrograph if you ever come across them? :)

Very nice👍

Reminds me of a poor man’s UTS. And I mean that as a huge compliment.
Whats the weight

It's just over-engineered. Most people who own exotic cars will never take it close to it's limit, similar to this watch.
@@jetwow1112 yeah and? I don't see the point of such car either? More specifically nowadays...
