Timothy, you were definitely the TTI today! 😅 That town center is ripe for preservation, renovation, and development. It has a lot of good buildings with historic architecture that need to be preserved and renovated. While the sidewalks are greatly smudged, overall, the town center is clean. That building next to the post office was once Belk Department Store. You're telling your age with that Ravioli! A lot of people liked (and still like) eating that and Franco American spaghetti cold back in the day.
I could not agree more, Kenneth. They should be able to pull it off with the park they have planned along the river. It will be beautiful and should draw people in to live, work, and play.
The Great Falls theater is at the very end turn around and go back down past the elementary school past Memorial building going down toward the post office. It’s right across from the post office my grandfather Eli Trent used to run it. It caught fire years ago and the one who actually owned it wouldn’t rebuild.
I've flown my drone many times over Great Falls. Such a great little town. Would really like to see it get brought back to life. Such good "bones" on that Main Street Strip.
Thr big building in front of the town hall it use to be the Belks department store and the old jail facing the olld belks to the right aboutt a 100 yards to the right is were the old jail sits its growed up and really hard to get to
How sad to see this little ghost town. They need to incentivize younger people to move in and take over these buildings for next to nothing for exchange of revivals.
I agree. People in their 20s and 30s need to see the opportunity in these towns and build them up with new businesses just like the young people did when the town was first developed. Thanks for posting 👍
Sad to say it looks like another dying town! Eventually a newer generation will change everything around as time goes on but never look the same as it does now.
Great Falls is so beautiful they have ice cream and everything😊
It’s a cool town for sure.
I live in it
IGA use to be a Piggly Wiggly right??

Sadly, I think we are seeing an end to all of these beautiful old theaters.
Thanks for sharing

I agree.
The park with its hiking, biking, and paddling will hopefully help the town recover.

Thanks for sharing your local knowledge.
Were the people there friendly and willing to talk too you about the town ??
Yes, I talked to a woman who did not want to be on camera and she was very friendly.
Wow, town looks dreadful, dead. Hate to see little towns wither away
I do too. Hopefully the new recreation area will bring some life to it.
