Jen - That's a beautiful necklace! Thank you for the video. I like these type of regional places where you can get a good meal at a fair price; no matter where you are in the area there's usually one close by. We have a few of these places here in Florida. We go often because we know what to expect so we can enjoy the food and service.
You are so welcome! And thank you for the compliment on my necklace. I have had it forever. It’s one of those that you can take the little ball thing off and change it out for other ones. I don’t even think they sell them anymore, but they were popular at one time.

Wow, too bad I don't live in Tennessee, that place looks awesome! I noticed on the sign when you went in that one of their specials was meatloaf. One of my friends calls meatloaf "old people food' but I love a good meatloaf dinner, have since I was a kid. Thanks for taking us along for dinner. You both seem like really fun dinner companions! Hi Jen, your patty melt looked really good and Rich’s steak and Parmesan spinach looked fabulous too. It reminded me of the spinach artichoke dip that Longhorn serves.. I think they have the best French Onion soup and spinach artichoke dip . Take care and have fun!

Awesome video! That was a different kind of appetizer with the pimento cheese. Everything looked so good! I'm so glad you two are ok after that storm! Luckily, it just knocked our power out for a couple days. I'm praying for all affected by the storm and it warms my heart to see all the people rallying together to send all the help they can! They really are around here. There seems to be a donation place everywhere you go, which is wonderful. I went today and dropped off diapers and wipes and formula and water and toilet paper. I figured those things were all needed badly. Must’ve been tough going without power for a couple of days. Hope you didn’t lose too much food or anything.

Rich being predictable is hardly a surprise. I'm guessing he has to be the easiest man to cook for, or the hardest. If I had a dollar every time he ordered steak I'd be sitting pretty.

We love the Aubrey's in Johnson City! We get the spinach con queso dip. The chips have a chili powder seasoning. Some of the best chips and queso I've had. I normally get the chicken salad sandwich with tomato basil soup or fries (super crunchy and seasoned well).
We are in the Hampton, Poga, and Roan Mountain, TN area that was hit pretty badly. I appreciate that you all are helping out. People have really come together to help out from all over in all the areas that were impacted.

I so agree. Your bread should have been toasted more. I'm that person who says, want steak, go to a steak house. I'm bringing winter sweaters and jackets, real nice clean cute clothes I can't wear anymore. Prayers for healings for all who have tremendously affected! 😢

Charcoal flavor is the best. Often Clover honey is so strong, I would understand how it would taste cinnamon like. The bottle we have now is from Kroger and is just like that. It is a really dark honey too and delicious 🍯🐝.

If you ever have an opportunity to try avocado honey. It is my absolute favorite. Fortunate to live down the street / road is a honey farm and avocado orchards. An acquired tast and a little drizzle is all one needs.

Everything looked great. That bread, I think, is what we serve in Fredericksburg. It is German Dark Wheat. It is wonderful, especially with good quality butter ( a meal in itself). Thanks for sharing

I've been a fan of Aubrey's for many years. Both my daughters have worked there. My go to meal there is meatloaf on Sundays with the spinach parm. They also make a great cheesecake.

Monday is Burger Day. I used to get the sweet potato fries, but they had to switch the waffle fries due to supply issues. They're not as good and cool off to fast. Often get a vegetable plate, you can get a cup of soup for one of them. Seafood pasta and pizza Rockefeller are two more favorites.

Great review. We love the local places when we come for vacation. Where would you recommend for a great sandwich for lunch? We love the pottery house Cafe and pigeon forge deli but want to try something different.
If you don’t mind going to Elvira’s and Wears Valley, it is very good. We also like the blue moose and the local goat.
I've heard great things about Elvira's in Wears Valley but I also herd it's not open all the time and is super busy. I guess that's a sign of a great restaurant. We might check it out. I appreciate the suggestions.
The hours are a little limited but it is very good!
I had to chuckle at the bread serving. For the rest of us, we get ONE bread roll for three people, lol.

First thing I noticed about the Patty Melt was that it’s under-toasted.
Yes- should have been grilled and flattened.
I have friends in Jonesborough , Erwin and Limestone. I cried when I saw the videos, i'm in Ohio and was going to move back there this year, glad I didnt
They did get hit hard with flooding, it’s going to take some time for some places to get back, we were very lucky here

You look so pretty
It is cream spinach with Parmesan, standard dip with tortilla chips. Never understood the patty melt, it just seems they ran out of burger buns . To be honest it was overpriced for what you got. It did not have very much ambience and your review kinda of reflected it. You are both pros and gave kudos for quality ingredients but there was just something missing. For $31 I want a spud with my steak lol.
I agree. Those weren't middle of the road prices. But the food looked delicious and the appetizer was unique.
He had the choice of a steak, but he just wanted to try that Parmesan spinach. And yeah, most people don’t know how to do a patty melt the right way. It should be like a grilled cheese on steroids. So many people just put it on bread, which is just not right. It was not bad, but it was definitely not a true patty melt.

Ate there two days ago and not same bread or butter. It was a grain bread and regular whipped butter that neither had any flavor. About the only thing I can say overall I don’t get the popularity of this restaurant and the fries were good. I had chicken tenders, they were ok and partner had fish and chips. It was ok. Won’t go back.
