I can be feeling kind of down, being alone after my husband passed and i rush to your videos and i am 👍 OK. I get happy watching your sweet face and hearing your voice and it takes me back when i cooked for hubby and kids. Your house and lives are so much like we were. Thanx Brooke, you are so precious, thank you. Love you bunches❤😊❤😊❤😊❤
I LOVE how your children appreciate the simple things ,my momma would get tired too from everyday life, and sometimes she just didn't feel like cooking a 4 course meal, so us kids would get fried egg Sammy's, carrot sticks n tator tots , and we'd all be so greatful just be eating. I'm 63 now have raised my kids the same way. 😊 You are an amazing woman raising her kids an takin' care your man. 😊❤
long time lurking, first time commenting... I'd like to see a slightly different type of "budget" meal... you mentioned a while back (sorry, I'm still catching up on months old videos cause I'm busy) that even fast food places like Chipotle can be $75 plus for your family and I totally agree that those prices are out of control these days. while I have some disposable income, they still make my the head spin! so my request is, what can you do with $50 for a really special occasion single dinner for your family of 5? I'm thinking special birthday, Valentine's, anniversary, congratulations on getting into college, etc. NOT Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, etc that might include a bunch of extra people. Just a really, really special day!!
basically somewhere that a "traditional fancy pants" meal that may have been $75-$100 for a SUPER extravagant night before COVID and the resulting inflation but would now run into the $200-$300 mark. I know this is a bit out of your wheelhouse, but sometimes we just need to celebrate. I figured $10 per person was reasonable for a super celebration since that's still cheaper than a Chipotle burrito/bowl or a McDonald's big Mac/quarter pounder "value" meal.
Brooke, Ive been watching your videos for about a year now. I also came here to say I just love ya! You are real and wholesome and fun. It's always like a hug from a friend when I put you on. Wishing you and your family all the best in 2024 ☀️
I buy Ronaldi’s when it’s $1. Dump in a sauce pan, add a jar of water. Let it simmer on low for about an hour, add more water if it thickens too much. Bake my chicken coated in breadcrumbs and parm. I make spaghetti to go with it. Hubs (gram from Italy) loves it. Last time I found some half price ravioli with cheese and spinach I served it with!
Some of them eggs you could make a quiche.... ham, bacon, sausage, veggie, brocc and cheese one. Or a fritatta, deviled eggs, pasta salad, potato salad, oh the possibilities :) Loved the dinners. Thanks so much for sharing!!
I’m SO happy I found your channel. I just love you - you’re so upbeat, you have the best accent, and most of all you have so much love. It’s in your food, how you take care of your family, and when I saw you fill those blessing boxes I immediately went to my husband and said we need to be more involved and help where we can. I would never think you’re bragging. You just jump in and do what needs to be done. Sending you much love and MANY blessings for you and all of your family.
Thank you for all your endless ideas! We are on a fixed income and the food prices are out of hand! I have enjoyed cooking again because of you, using what I have and my family is so happy too! I enjoy seeing your beautiful family too! You help more people than you know.
Raos wasn't life changing for me. I honestly prefer snagging the cheap 'can' of the hunts traditional "pasta" sauces and herbing it up. But, I'm not yucking anyone else's yum!🤗💕
Rao’s tends to be salty. I’m Italian and while it’s good for the fresh olive oil taste and fresh sweet tomatoes, I can live without it and doctor up sauces or just fry down tomatoes 🍅 myself and not even crushing them I add to spaghetti, I agree not to rain on anyone’s parade. Plus affordability is important.
I really really love how you respected your son's wishes not to be recorded when he made that meal.... you are amazing and I absolutely love you and your cute lil family ❤
Thanks for an honest review on the sauce. Its $10 a jar in the PNW! I'm not paying that, especially if it tastes like a store brand. We actually like our store brand better than more expensive sauces we've tried.... 🙅🙅🙅
I find that to be true of a lot of items! For instance, Aldi had a version of Chunky soup that I simply loved....you might know, I had barely discovered it and they stopped carrying it and started selling the Campbell's version which I don't like as well!
I have my own cast iron pans but use my moms 61 yr old stainless steel pots to cook w, there still in good shape and do the trick..Faberwear…dont knock it….lol
Just started watching this video and I'm already excited! These are my favorite kinda vidoes!! I love watching you just cook all normal like using your pantry, freezers and home canned stuff 🤗
Rao’s is popular because it is low carb. If you aren’t interested in low carb, you can find cheaper sauce that is just as tasty. Now their pizza sauce is amazing.
This baby boy has grown so quickly! I don’t know that I’ve watched you for a whole year and have learned so much. Thank you, bestie, and squeeze Kylen for me (sorry if misspelled).❤❤
I made the cheese burger melt and it is another keeper😂 I actually used the left over poormans steak patties, chopped up, that I had from the day before. Came out great!!
Love love your channel! Put a couple of dry paper towels in your bag of lettuce, cabbage ,or spinach and it will last longer. The paper towel will absorb moisture and prevent it from turning bad.
Oh I feel ya on your chickens hiding eggs!!! That chicken had some wonderful color to it! Ryder's dinner looked so good! Tell him great job!! The chicken parm looked so good! I think on top of some thin noodles with more of the Rao's would be so good! Those taco bowls!! Brooke!! Well done! Have you tried making a Dutch Baby Pancake? It uses up some eggs and its really tasty! That breakfast for dinner looked so good! Gotta love egg salad! Nothing wrong with an easy night! Thanks for the wonderful video!
Hey love! Surplus of eggs? Can them!!!!! ( lime solution) Also DONT COOK WITH OLIVE OIL. It is NOT to be heated it literally becomes toxic ❤ salads and toppings of things only not for heating! Safe oils are avocado and coconut oil to heat! ❤❤❤
i have a hint for you....don't thaw your corn on the cob..go from freezer to boiling water for 5 to 7 minutes and it won't be soggy and taste very close to fresh garden
I just figured out how to comment. You have guided me how to make due with what I have. portion control I needed big help and seeing your plated food I have learned a lot. I am making better choices. I retain water can't wait to do low carb.
Brooke if you have a lot of eggs you should make “Shakshuka” with your extra eggs, it’s a middle eastern recipe. It basically a tomato sauce with sunny side up eggs cooked on top. The tomato sauce has a bit of a kick to it, you can spice it up to your taste. And you eat it with homemade bread. It’s delicious! Great for dinner or breakfast.
😊😊😊 Brooke when you have alot of eggs maybe try Egg Fu Yung. Scramble eggs in bowl add dash milk, add bag of fine chopped vegetables with broccoli and cauliflower and carrots that bag. Add squirt of onion mash. Season with dash or two soy sauce. Salt n pepper to taste, dash of ginger powder. Maybe sesame oil dash. Make round egg patties....that egg fu yung. Add bean sprouts in mix if yall like those we do. But if not just go with frozen mixture with cauliflower and stuff. Then make gravy that goes on it. Oil, corn starch soy sauce and lil brown sugar, ginger, onion and garlic powder. Add water to thicken sauce. Yumm put that on egg patties. Make fried rice. And i buy egg roll wrappers add cream cheese, onion powder and garlic powder dash of soy sauce and cut wrap in squares put filling and make triangles. Put in freezer til frozen a bit then fry til crispy and wa la cheese ragoons. Amazing take out at home. You can put chicken in egg fu yung too. Its chicken and veg fu yung great too.
Egg salad on celery sticks is so yummy! Great for summer when it is hot and it is hard to eat a lot of bread. I have also filled up small romaine lettuce leaves with egg salad and ate it like a taco. So good.
I fixed a “Chile” using no beans or chili powder…. I did use taco seasoning tho and added ,onion ,rehydrated, tomatoes.taco seasoning, half a pound of turkey and it actually tasted pretty good once I added a little more salt ! I’ll eat on it until it’s gone !
SIS!! LET ME TELL YALL!! So, I work at kroger. I am never able to afford that RAOS brand. Well a couple of months ago we had it on digital deal for 4.99 and I got excited. My biscuit cutter is the same thing my gram use to use. She was very frugal never spent $ that she said could be used on something else so she used a glass and just dipped it in flour before cutting the biscuit dough so I learned that from her
Rao’s is good but my favorite is a brand called Cajun Power spaghetti sauce. It’s probably a regional brand but if you ever find it and you’re a fan of flavor, you’ll only want that sauce!
I love Rao's marinara. The ingredients are Italian whole peeled tomatoes, olive oil, onions, salt, garlic, basil, black pepper, dried oregano. No funky things, no sugar, things I can pronounce. I make my own but Rao's is great when I can't.

My Polish grandmother according to my dad and they had a farm up in Ashtabula Oh used to take and make soup with chicken then take the chicken out and serve that for a meal and the soup for another. One of my clients told me who is 93, her sister n law used to make soup w the chicken pcs the would take and bread the chicken and fry it up for another meal. And she use to say how great the chicken was and you didnt even know she had done that. They knew how to stretch food when they needed to. I make a lot of soup, have many recipes to keep it different every week, soup stretches w some salad, buns or biscuits. A good pot of chili [i use turkey cheaper], left overs w some Aldies .99 pk of hot dogs for chili dogs or make some Mac n cheese and fold together top w bread crumbs and bake yummy
You cook and shop a lot like I do. Lots of shopping the sales and markdowns and reverse menu planning. You’ve got to be creative in the kitchen or food will get wasted. All these recipes look fabulous and my husband and 4 boys would eat all of it.
If I had those eggs I would probably make a huge jar of pickled eggs with pickled beets. I know everyone doesn't like them but if you do that would be an idea to use up some of them...
My favorite pasta sauce is DelGrossos three cheese. It tastes like my Italian husband’s grandmothers sauce and it’s cheap🥰. Not sure if it’s available in your area but if you see it… try it❤️. Love following you!!
I made spaghetti with meat sauce with Rao's and it was good but not worth the price difference. You can make the whole meal for the cost of a jar of Rao's sauce
I can be feeling kind of down, being alone after my husband passed and i rush to your videos and i am 👍 OK. I get happy watching your sweet face and hearing your voice and it takes me back when i cooked for hubby and kids. Your house and lives are so much like we were. 😊❤
I totally agree about Rao Pasta Sauce! Apparently it has better ingredients...less sugar...something like that. But it's SO EXPENSIVE!
Much less expensive to make your own pasta sauce for sure buying a pre made in jar is insane
I began buying the Save a Lot brand of pasta sauce. My daughter loved it and truth be told one of the best I've ever had.
You’re blessed to have chickens, these days..! Eggs are out of sight, price wise right now..! I treat them like gold..!
EXCESS EGGS, make a few pie crusts, make a few different quiches and freeze for ready made meals later

😮😮she has videos on those special occasions
@@CarrieVukichit was my son's 21st last week, I was broke. I made butter chicken and naan. Cheapest yet a true celebration meal.
I think that's an awesome idea!!! She's not broke❤
Really nice to have your boys cooking!
Preparing them to be independent. ❤
Brooke, Ive been watching your videos for about a year now. I also came here to say I just love ya! You are real and wholesome and fun. It's always like a hug from a friend when I put you on. Wishing you and your family all the best in 2024 ☀️
Thank you!! I hope you have a wonderful day!!
Your channel is a huge source of comfort for me. Thank you for doing what you do.
I refuse to pay 7.00 for a jar of sauce at a discount grocery store just because it's the best So my house will never eat Rao's
I'll never buy it again, even if it is on sale lol
I buy Ronaldi’s when it’s $1. Dump in a sauce pan, add a jar of water. Let it simmer on low for about an hour, add more water if it thickens too much. Bake my chicken coated in breadcrumbs and parm. I make spaghetti to go with it. Hubs (gram from Italy) loves it. Last time I found some half price ravioli with cheese and spinach I served it with!
I just buy cheap sauce and add extra seasonig to it.
I couldn't taste any difference.
If you have access to Aldi, they carry one with nearly identical ingredients for significantly less.
Some of them eggs you could make a quiche.... ham, bacon, sausage, veggie, brocc and cheese one. Or a fritatta, deviled eggs, pasta salad, potato salad, oh the possibilities :) Loved the dinners. Thanks so much for sharing!!
Fried rice with a few extra eggs too.
I made the Cheeseburger Melts for my family and they loved them! Thank you so much for your wonderful videos!

Same as you; I couldn't tell a difference between the Raos and my store brand.
Same it all tastes the same, in my opinion.
It was disappointing
Thanks for an honest review on the sauce. Its $10 a jar in the PNW! I'm not paying that, especially if it tastes like a store brand. We actually like our store brand better than more expensive sauces we've tried.... 🙅🙅🙅
I find that to be true of a lot of items!

As long as you and your family like it, who cares.
*Whispers* I don't won a biscuit cutter but AANY well-washed used tin can with a hole in the bottom makes a magnificent biscuit cutter.
I’m only buying sale items then I meal plan out of what I have on hand
My mom passed 38 years ago and I use her biscuit cutter, rolling pin and her Revere pans.
My sister's and I still using my mother's cast iron pans ♥.
I have my own cast iron pans but use my moms 61 yr old stainless steel pots to cook w, there still in good shape and do the trick..Faberwear…dont knock it….lol
She lives on❤
I love my Revere wear pans. Got most of them from the thrift store.
I also have a collection of the Revere pans hands down the best!
Do you float your eggs too see if they are good for ones that didn't get collected daily because they hide them.. If they float out they go !
I feel so comfy and cozy when i whatch your videos
Thank you. Be positive, kind, happy, and let others be happy. It's a great way to start my day!
I love what you do!! thank you from Québec,Canada, have a Nice Day!!!
You can use a round lid from like a jar, canning ring, top of a cup to make your round biscuits.
Just started watching this video and I'm already excited! These are my favorite kinda vidoes!! I love watching you just cook all normal like using your pantry, freezers and home canned stuff 🤗
So glad you tried the Rao's pasta sauce so I don't have to. 😀
Rao’s Italian sausage best ever!
Rao’s is popular because it is low carb. If you aren’t interested in low carb, you can find cheaper sauce that is just as tasty. Now their pizza sauce is amazing.
Aldi has a pasta sauce that is low carb, tastes very similar to RAO's.
Love too see ryder and brayden cooking. Good job guys❤ looks bustin
This baby boy has grown so quickly! I don’t know that I’ve watched you for a whole year and have learned so much. Thank you, bestie, and squeeze Kylen for me (sorry if misspelled).❤❤

I just use Frozen Jasmine Rice & add some Smart Balance with Olive Oil. It’s delicious.
Oh Ryder cooking that is so cute. Good job. Looked really good 😁
Oh I feel ya on your chickens hiding eggs!!!
Whenever I serve egg salad sandwiches, I like to put plain potato chips inside for some crunch and some saltiness.
Great video, again! I love an Indian Curried egg dish, the sauce is coconut cream. It’s delicious and a great way to use up excess eggs.
I would eat every one of those! Thanks for sharing!
You can freeze them too. Crack open and put in an ice tray. After they are frozen pop them out into a freezer bag.
It's the BEST when your kids start cooking for you and it's actually bomb!❤
i have a hint for you....don't thaw your corn on the cob..go from freezer to boiling water for 5 to 7 minutes and it won't be soggy and taste very close to fresh garden
Love you bunches, Brooke! Blessings 10x to you and your family! 💝💙💙💙💙
I just figured out how to comment. You have guided me how to make due with what I have. portion control I needed big help and seeing your plated food I have learned a lot. I am making better choices. I retain water can't wait to do low carb.
Angel food cake takes care of a dozen eggs. Use yolks to make noodles.
Thanks Brooke everything looked so delicious ❤
Your breakfast for dinner looks absolutely delicious!
I love burrito bowls!! Yum!!! 😋
And egg salad!! 😋
❤❤❤ THOSE CHICKEN IS GOOD WITH TACO FLAVOR AND ADD CAN OF GREEN CHILIES. YUM.
😊😊😊 Brooke when you have alot of eggs maybe try Egg Fu Yung. Scramble eggs in bowl add dash milk, add bag of fine chopped vegetables with broccoli and cauliflower and carrots that bag. I make my own sauce I am also Italian. I use any sauce in a pinch as a starter but spice it up.
Another chicken tip - if your Walmart sells chilled rotisserie chickens, keep an eye on those, they get marked all the way down to $3.04 per bird.
I add onion powder to my tots, and it gives them a Bojangles Bo round vibe.
I really loved the way you cut the tomato, I’m going to give that a go. Great video. 💕
Egg salad on celery sticks is so yummy! Great for summer when it is hot and it is hard to eat a lot of bread. I have also filled up small romaine lettuce leaves with egg salad and ate it like a taco. So good.
Day 6 looks delish!!
Pickled eggs are easy and a good healthy snack! You can make them in so many flavors, buffalo, hot mustard original the possibilities are endless
for biscuits i sometimes use a glass to cut them
I'm going to try the melts! They look so good and hubby hates sloppy joes so I hope he'll like it!
Yum!
SIS!! LET ME TELL YALL!! So, I work at kroger. I am never able to afford that RAOS brand. Well a couple of months ago we had it on digital deal for 4.99 and I got excited. But.. of course we did not have the flavour I wanted. But just near it I noticed my old favorite (that lately has been out of my budget) MIDS it's a bigger jar, and the BOLEGNESE FLAVOR AND THE SAUSAGE FLAVOR are full of meat. You can see it in the jar, and it was 2 FOR 7!! then I realized MIDS goes on this sale frequently. I was so happy and remembered why I love it. And yes you can buy 1 jar for 3.50 on this sale. PLEASE try this sauce you will love it. I buy minced garlic in oil from Walmart. (2.66) lasts me 2months, and I put a spoonful of garlic. It's a great sub if you don't have or can't afford any ground beef to add to your store brand sauce. Which is what I like to do. So try MIDS BOLEGNESE and ❤
My biscuit cutter is the same thing my gram use to use.
Everything looks great!
Your video made my day perfect timing for lunch 😊🎉 You're totally AWESOME 💯
Loved your egg salad, I could eat a massive bowl of that!❤🐔
Loved this whole vlog. Kids in charge of dinner a great idea cant wait to see their ideas, love that they help each other.❤
I love Rao's marinara. The ingredients are Italian whole peeled tomatoes, olive oil, onions, salt, garlic, basil, black pepper, dried oregano. No funky things, no sugar, things I can pronounce. I make my own but Rao's is great when I can't.
Brook, Those dinners were the greatest. You are a fabulous cook. YOU ROCK IT GIRL!! Love 💕 from Debbie 🙋 and Dexter-Dog 🐕 my sweet tiny rescued Chihuahua 🐶🦴🐾 companion living a quiet crafty life 🏠🌵 in southern 🐝🌞🌴🍋🍊🧑🦽🏄 California.

Back in the 70 's i remember Ragu italian sauce being so delicious. I think over the years the recipe changed. Probably cheaper ingredients. 😮
Yes I think they changed the recipe also. I don't like the plastic jars either
Walmart sells bags of Parmesan-Crusted Tilapia. They make a nice fish sammich.
Oh that Tilapia sounds good, hope Canadian Walmart has it.
Hi Brooke, next time you make Chicken Parmigiano, put it on top of Spaghetti.. Really good that way too. .😊😊😊
What do you guys do for drinks???? LOVE YOU GUYS!
You cook and shop a lot like I do. Lots of shopping the sales and markdowns and reverse menu planning. You’ve got to be creative in the kitchen or food will get wasted. All these recipes look fabulous and my husband and 4 boys would eat all of it.
I’m with you I love aldi’s marinara
Every meal looked delicious and you never look like doo doo😂...always beautiful inside and out!
If I had those eggs I would probably make a huge jar of pickled eggs with pickled beets. I know everyone doesn't like them but if you do that would be an idea to use up some of them...
I only have recipes till day 4. How find the rest of the days, my husband wants the egg salad recipe.
My favorite pasta sauce is DelGrossos three cheese. It tastes like my Italian husband’s grandmothers sauce and it’s cheap🥰. Not sure if it’s available in your area but if you see it… try it❤️. Love following you!!
Spinach with good good with that as a side dish side dish
I usually buy the store generic marinara sauce for spaghetti!! I add what I want and it’s delicious!!
Love watching you and your family ❤
You will appreciate this tip if you wrap you partially used lettuce With foil it will last for weeks without any discoloration
Yummy meals 🎉 make Scottish eggs to use up eggs
I'd make a Breakfast Tator Tot Casserole.
A good way to use your eggs are pickle them, and egg salad or devil eggs or potato salad
Deviled eggs are my weakness lol
Thanks for sharing with us and for being real! Blessings to you and you precious family❤️
I made spaghetti with meat sauce with Rao's and it was good but not worth the price difference. You can make the whole meal for the cost of a jar of Rao's sauce
Would you please share your salsa recipe?
We had pizza and wings delivered last week for 5 people. It was over $100! WTAF? 😮
I love your recipes, I work with the elderly and disabled in their homes and I always need meal ideas. I love to cook, but my daughter is super picky
Your breakfast dinner looked amazing!!!
Mine too !!🐔🐤🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚😮😂❤ freezing them for next winter. These dinners are looking yummy 😋😋 Thanks girl 🤗🤗
Was wondering if you could make some canning videos
Your breakfast for dinner looks so good. Now I want to watch that. Lol love all the meals. You do such a great job. 😊
You should make some pickled hard boiled eggs when you have a surplus of eggs, just a thought
Thank you so much for dinner ideas.. I'm definitely going to try the chicken parmesan out! Much love to you and your awesome family. 🙂❤
