I buy the Panera’s Broccoli Cheddar Soup at Publix & Mix it with the Potato Soup from O’Charley’s & some of their Rolls. Yummy. That’s what I usually eat on Sat & Sun.
I love their apple fritters and juleps, and now thanks to Jen, I must try the pot pie! All the food looks delicious. Fall is such an awesome time to be there. I love the harvest decorations at Dollywood. Another awesome review! 💕

We were at The Apple Barn in September. I got the sampler w a smaller pot pie chicken n dumplings and fried chicken plus the sides. I enjoyed the pot pie the most!!

We love the Apple Barn. The fritters are enough for me. There are none better! I got their meatloaf once and it was really good, but the “slice” they served me must have weighed 3 lbs! It was HUGE!!! I’m really missing that area this year. We were hoping to come down this fall, but I ended up having a total knee replacement last Tuesday (10/1). So I’m enjoying your videos while I recuperate! I hate it because fall is my absolute favorite season. We got good news, though. Halfway through stage 4 cancer, and I should be in remission by Christmas! 😅 We were excited by that bit of news. However, I hate missing all the fall fun! 😢😢😢 Maybe next year, God willing ! ❤😅❤

First time watching your channel. The wife and I are from Ohio, went there for breakfast last month, we didn’t realize there are 2 main restaurants there, we ate at the front restaurant, menus and prices look basic ally the same on there website. We purchased a few items in the gift shop, a few fall dinner plates, mugs and some apple pie ground coffee. We really enjoyed ourselves there and will return next trip. Thanks for the video.

Hi Jen, oh man, your pot pie looked sooo good and like a regular size pie and Rich’s fried chicken and sausage stuffing sounded fabulous. That’s how we make our Thanksgiving turkey stuffing. With sweet Italian sausage, celery, onion, and white bread. Ya made me hungry now. 😂😂
Good to see that the area was not affected. My husband and son went there a few years ago. They brought one of the apple loaves home. And apple cider. They where both so good. I'm also a big fan of chicken pot pie, and having that huge crust be the best. I also mix mine in. I usually just get the frozen kind from Marie Callender, it's my favorite.

Have visited several several times. Has always been a fun experience. We are bakers, not professional, but pretty darn close, and purchase a few items to re-create at home. There is a similar type of restaurant on the central coast of California. Always a great time. And the seafood is phenominal. They post on a blackboard what they caught and prices. We purchase directly off the boat and worth every penny.

We had a meal there several years ago and it was good, but this time the food was not up to par at all at least for us. The orange /pineapple juice tasted like water , the mashed potatoes sure tasted like instant, my grill chicken was rubbery 😢and even the apple fritters were cold and hard 😢. The broccoli soup was really the only thing we both would say tasted ok . Maybe they just had an off day , but doubt we will ever go back on our next visit to the Smokys. And you are right about being nice to visit right now . We didn’t have to wait anywhere we went ,even Dollywood wasn’t crowded ! Just had to deal with those funny looking hot rod slant wheels cars racing down The Parkway all week which was a bit unnerving to two 60+ year old women from Ohio who have never heard or experienced that before .😂 Thanks again for reviewing so many places .

I make my fried apple and peach pies most of the time with cooked dried and slightly sweetened apples and peaches and biscuit dough. It is the preferred way of making them in Appalachia. I have also made them with a regular pie crust and an apple filling or cooked and sweetened fresh apples.
I did a Costco run today and got several dishes including Chicken Alfredo ☺ My whole week of breakfast lunch and dinner for two for the entire week for $106!

Rich, you are picking the good green beans, pole beans with ham, I use side meat in mine, and cooked all day long. My best friend says they are dead beans, but she loves them. Here in Virginia, they eat a round green bean they call snaps cooked for a very short time. if they are eating them from a can, they open them and heat for about 5 minutes and eat them. I usually will pass them up for another vegetable.
