How do you know if the brushes need changing without looking at them? What are the problems? Mine is dropping power after 6 holes and hardly moving but batteries still at 12.4

This is a likely reason for the problem. Make sure you check all 4 brushes. If they are ok eg shinny on the end and pull in and out smoothly, then pop them back in the same way you removed them. If not then replace. Don’t over work the motor until the new brushes have bedded in.

Thank you if my brushes are ok what’s the next thing to check please batteries are both good ones new and ones been tested at 100% pass thanks again

Also the lights on the throttle when it slows down go to red but the batteries are both over 12v still

How did you get brittle caps out as there just crumbling away

How do you check if brake is releasing fully. My 24v 1000w motor gets very very hot. Microswitch ok

Hi
The best way is to remove the brake and rest it on the frame on the back of the buggy.
Prop the buggy up off the wheels Then power the buggy to see whether the motor or brake is getting hot.
Let it run for about 10 minutes or so then put your hand on the motor and brake to check.

In real trouble adjusting brake is there a set dim from adjustable piston to flat area piston is adjusted out of

Don’t even attempt it without a new set of caps, as they get heated and turn brittle
