Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers - Shin Akuma Playthrough on Max Difficulty

- This is a capture of me playing through the arcade mode of Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers for the Nintendo Switch. I'm using Shin Akuma and playing on the highest difficulty level: World Warrior.
Normally I just upload Street Fighter II playthroughs with Ken only, but I had a request to post an Akuma playthrough, so I decided to go all out and use Shin Akuma. If I'm going to use a broken, overpowered character, I might as well go with the absurdly broken version. To use Shin Akuma, you have to unlock him by selecting four different characters in a specific order, then pressing L + R on the random icon.
In this video I played through the arcade mode on the highest difficulty level without losing a single round and faced Akuma at the end. I also enabled the classic graphics and sounds since I prefer them over the new stuff.
Even though I completed this on the highest difficulty, this game isn't that difficult overall. The AI was much tougher in the Super Nintendo versions of Street Fighter II, not to mention the original arcade versions. But even so, this is still a fun game.
Recorded with the Elgato Game Capture HD60 and the Switch's HDMI cable at native 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second. I'm using a Real Arcade Pro V Hayabusa joystick.
Shin Akuma is so powerful.
fun fact about this game: the character portraits in hd remix (this game's inspiration) are custom looking, while in ultra, their "hd" versions of the character portraits from super turbo. Also, about the art style, I know its from hd remix, and I know it's a bit fugly, but in ultra, it's touched up to have more frames of animation, and to better support fullscreen 1080p 60fps. You probably already knew about this, (and if I already commented on this already, just let me know if I did) and a lot of people do too
Hey, I like the HD Remix art style. I'm not saying I prefer it over the original, but I still think it looks nice.

That's insane. Power wise, that's on par with Shin Ku Ha Do Ken. It would be interesting to see that fireball go up against Ryu's Shin Ku Ha Do Ken.

@@BeastModeOfficial Too far ahead I was, I guess. But still, that'd be crazy if that were the case and that's just the SF2 series. I shudder to think if Shin Akuma was really masking his power, a la Frieza and Cell and others in the DragonBall anime series.

From what I have heard Ultra SF2 had the worst online delays and bugs in the way of the hado mode
Many can argue since the two air fireballs are not available for Akuma, the computer controlled Akuma that instantly wiped out Bison with his raging demon, is in fact Shin Akuma. Interesting how Capcom just called him Akuma while Shin Akuma had to be selectable.
Shut up, Shin Gouki don't are the same who wipes Vega with a Shungokusatsu.

I've always liked this original Akuma because he was the first style to hit the Streetfighter 2 games.Akuma on Third Strike is nice to but this 80s version was it.

Did those players know that Shakunetsu Hadoken was more powerful than Shun Goku Satsu? Or did they not want to use Shakunetsu Hadoken because it's too cheap? I'm really disappointed.

In another hand, i noticed the enemies don't increase the damage they do in the later stages (which should come accompanied with less power on your character ). This only happens in DOS version?
How the hell can you fight with sandals? Its slows you down...
Is nice this version adds Evil Ryu and Violent Ken to the rooster ( Both akuma versions already was available at previous SF2 versions, like Dreamcast and Gameboy Advance ) But is actually a big downgrade that you cant choose to play with all the previous versions of each character as it was possible in Hyper and X versions. So at the end this is still not the definitve version.
Hyper isn't definitive either, even if you choose Super Turbo form, you don't actually transfer some of their combos or tech, less links for example so the characters aren't as fun as in Super Turbo

Ryu is gonna do a Shoryuken but Akuma hit Ryu and the sound of Akuma is low
Same thing happens at 13:58 & 14:00 with Tiger uppercut. Its just a timing of the sequence.
I hate the Ultra announcer... should be an option to revert back to the original like the graphics and soundtrack.

Nice bro 👍. You play really nice. I played too Street Fighter alpha 3 double upper and the feeling is absolutely awesome 🤩. USF2.TFC and SFA3 (max) Upper perfect arcade are exceptionnel games versus fighting.

The Shin Akuma (CPU Akuma) from SS2T/SS2X is still better than this lame Shin Akuma from USF2.

Great video....heres my problem with the announcer...how does Guile's Sonic Boom still have the original voice over but the shitty announcer still announces the you wins and perfects and rounds....thats seem a little over kill

Seems like the Switch version of the game isn't so bloody cheap with Akuma, who seems to perfectly time every Dragon Punch when you jump in or go for a sweep.
Well idk about Akuma but trust me most characters will know exactly what you are up to. I guess this guy is insanely skilled.
