Ryu’s ending assumes that Akuma didn’t show up and replace M. Bison as final opponent. However, Akuma is canonically the final opponent. The canon does not say what the outcome was.
Nobody even knows who the canon fighter that went to the final (before akuma came and kill bison). They never officialy reveal it. Some say chun li some say guile.
That final Akuma fight could have been a lot shorter if you werent trying to be fancy with the super as the finishing move. No complaints though! It was exciting to watch.

It's a shame they had to make the arcade version so difficult with the cpu reading your inputs and just a normal hit doing massive damage, for the average person playing this, it's too difficult to be fun.

One thing that annoyed me about this series is that the Shotos” had gi’s of every other color except black 😂 like I wanted to see Ken or Ryu in a black karate gi 😂😂😂
