  • Often referred to as ‘the Golden Age of Television’, the 1950s TV laid the foundation for the decades that followed. From sitcoms, to police dramas, to westerns, to kids shows, the entertainment that TV brought into American homes, also helped shape American culture. Even the American diet was transformed with the introduction of TV dinners (and soon after TV trays) which, first introduced in the mid 1950s.
Whether you watched these shows live, as a kid, or saw them in syndication, they still are as funny or intriguing as when they first broadcast. See how many you remember, and are able to identify. Feel free to post your score in the comments. And as always, thanks for playing!

Missed 2 sky King was making an appearance at a county fair we were playing when I was 5 and we were having my birthday party on the infield of the race track (my dad was in the thrill show business) and I got to meet him he hung out with my dad and the hell driver's till the show
It was pretty cool, at the end of the season when we got home to winter quarters and I was back at school I got to be a big shot for a day when I brought in all the pictures!

Another challenging and fun quiz. 16/20 this time around. I almost missed Sky King since the photo didn't include the iconic Cessna. Fortunately, though, I recognized the lovely Gloria Winters!
Thanks for stimulating my gray matter!

15 out of 20, not bad I guess since they were all before I was born, although I was surprised at how many I never even heard of.

@@topdogtrivia Yes, most of them many times like The Honeymooners, Leave it To Beaver, I Love Lucy, and one my all time favorites The Twilight Zone.

I got 16 of the 20. I would have had 27 of the 20, but the picture of Clint Walker of "Cheyenne " wasn't good enough for me to recognize him .

@@vickiebohy7609 27 out of 20 would be quite an accomplishment.

18/20. Except for the last one, none of these shows had anything to do with dogs. Remember, gold is where you find it but, you’ll always find Silver under The Lone Ranger.

I only missed three therefore I'm old and qualify as an "Old Fart".

18 out of 20. Not bad for a youngster (born in 1960). I missed on Range Rider (never even heard of it) and Death Valley Days, but maybe I can get a pass on that one because they had no set cast as it was an anthology show. The only real "cast member" was whoever was hosting at the time, be it the old ranger or Ronnie Raygun or whoever.

Same here. I missed those two and 'I Married Joan".

You are correct- Ronald Reagan was in the show (and the image). Thanks for playing

I got the same as you 18/20, with the same two shows missed and for the same reasons. If anybody gets Range Rider (#6), I'll be surprised! The others, besides Death Valley Days were relatively easy.

Death Valley Days is a tough one because the cast always changed

16/20 because just not so good on many of the Westerns from back then.
