I'm still sticking with Bean for most regular cotton flannel and possibly Woolrich for some cotton or heavyweight and mostly Pendleton for wool. Oh, and the leftover JC Penney ones that I still haven't worn them all yet but might still fit.
I have a bunch of canvas and twill shirts that I didn't get to wear much last year, so we'll see if we go from Too Warm to Too Cold again this time or if I get to slot in more of that midweight stuff.
Most Bean are around 7 ounces, I think, so that makes them nearly perfect for me for most of winter and the JCP are probably more like 5.5 which is better for spring and fall and some winter..
I+W was one of the first made in USA selvedge denim companies. Denim is their roots and name is after the founders Matt and Carrie's grandparents I believe. You should check out their jeans and the wool CPO shirt. Nice review.
Thanks, man! I really like their denim. Nashville is on the short list of places me and my wife want to go soon, so if I do I'll be spending some time at I+W!
Thanks for the comment. Not really looking for "weight" at the detriment of all else. For me, style/fit/color is primary and construction/materials are secondary, and weight itself is tertiary. If I'm THAT cold I can wear a bigger coat. Not everyone will want to pay $200 for a flannel and that's fine, but given it's "boutique Made in USA" provenance, it's priced for the market they are going for. Cheers, mate! Hope you have a good weekend.
Thanks, team!!

So these are more heavy twill or they're just burly-weight flannel and they may get soft with washing? Let us know in the update, right?
OK, anything less than 5 ounces is probably not worth considering.
You should get that other grey one and compare. I mean, you can send it back if you just liked the color and not the price or the feel, right?

Oh man, I hate when I buy something, and it goes on sale soon after! Gorgeous flannel though.
Right!?! Such is life! Thanks, Lee! Big fan.

8.5 oz for 200+ is a bit too much, if your looking for weight try UES flannels.
