    You did a great job. It is cool to see older speakers get a new life. I would of liked to have heard them in action.

    Nice speaker! Mostly the design.
    Thanks for the explanation.

    pull out these bass ports and put two radiators,with this setup you can hear more bass in your speakers...

    • @Synthematix
      @Synthematix 5 років тому +2

      NO! creative drivers like this are not designed for radiators

    • @LeftyMaker
      @LeftyMaker  5 років тому

      Interesting. Could you elaborate? Is it something in the TS parameters that makes them unsuitable?

    • @Synthematix
      @Synthematix 5 років тому +1

      @@LeftyMaker They are drivers designed for ports only, passive radiators run bass out of phase they will sound terrible. these drivers are only for upper midbass frequencies, they dont push enough air for passive radiators. they are harsh at 150hz, you need super woofers for passive radiators.

    • @aleksasavicic8473
      @aleksasavicic8473 5 років тому +1

      @@Synthematix Passive radiators are always good, as long as you know how to calculate the apropriate size. Most of portable speakers nowadays has tiny woofers which can go down to atleast 90-80 hz. Jbl xtreme2 has a pair of tiny 2.7 inch woofers and can go up to 55 hz.

    The speaker is beautiful, my only gripe was that you owned a router, if only you had a flush trim bit for it, Trimming the corners of the not so perfect rounds would have mad it easier for you :)

    Nice job using just a few tools. There are lots of videos on You tube that make speakers but they literally use a workshop of expensive tools, well beyond my meagre budget.
    Because you already had a jigsaw, I would have used it to cut out the speaker drivers. There are jigsaw blades that are available having a narrow blade for curved cuts.

    Fuse probably blew because those little computer speakers usually have a 12v power supply - the replacement was 24v

    можно было шпоном покрывать после приклеивания лицевой стороны, тыльную сторону сделать заподлицо. тогда не светились бы ни шурупы на морде ни торцы фанеры на морде и спине. спина была бы съемной для доступа к потрохам а спереди был бы монолитный вид.

    Piece of metal.
