  • Bluetooth speakers are really popular nowadays, unfortunately, none of them is designed how I would like to. The obvious choice was to make my own DIY Bluetooth speaker and show you the process. I highly encourage you to make your own speaker and design it the way you want, it's a simple and super satisfying project that will help you develop your making skills.

    Awesome design. Using different tools to achieve it is simply put gorgeous. I'm still amazed by the minimalist electronic parts that project requires, really. Entertaining too. Thank you Nikodem!

    Impressive knowledge of wiring and solidworks. I'm sure the rustic look is what you were going for but with all of those precision tools, it would be good to see something clean and well made. Well done though.

    Ich mag das Design......ist nicht so futuristisch wie die anderen, sondern erinnert eher an ne Werkstatt. Top Leistung. Grüße aus Berlin.

    Great job. I think if you revest into the box with any acoustic material and make a role between the speakes, the sound will be better.

      My dad told me exactly the same thing when I was building this speaker, but there was no place inside for any additional material and also I almost finished it when he told me. I will consider it in the future ;)

    Good job! But you should use a higher battery capacity and a power bank module to be able to charge your phone with your speaker. Also, i couldn’t see if you assembled the batteries in parallel or in series but i just tell you that to assemble batteries in series without a BMS is really dangerous. And if you don’t like bluetooth speaker, why did you not just make a wired speaker?

    It's nice for your first shot but better to back to design desk and make a better one. Don't forget that you are a maker.

    Nice design! How about the overcharge and overdischarge protection of the li-ion cell now that you left out the charging board?

    • @nikodembartnik
      @nikodembartnik  4 роки тому +1

      Charging is implemented in the Bluetooth board, it lets you know that battery is low so I assume that there is over charge and over discharge protection

      @@nikodembartnik I would look at that in more detail if I were you, just to be sure. Would be a shame if it breaks or worse sets itself on fire right?

      The bluetooth board explicitly mentiones you should use an protection board I now see. Just trying to help you out :)

      I don't think that particular board has protection like a TP4056 module (all it has on for protection is the SS14 diode to prevent reverse polarity)...might need a battery with battery protection board built on it. Good enough to charge a few hours then use...but not leaving plugged in all the time

  • @yasiex0x

    The design is great, but the quality of the wood used is imo not suitable for that cool design. Maybe walnut with linseed oil would be better?

    • @nikodembartnik
      @nikodembartnik  4 роки тому

      It definitely would be better, but pallet wood is super cheap :) and it's also eco friendly

  • @martinbujnak7266

    Hello! Please can you also add link for that battery charger? Because it is not possible to charge battery trough Bluetooth board so you need separated charging circuit. Also can I use that Bluetooth board for only one speaker? Thank you!

    • @nikodembartnik
      @nikodembartnik  4 роки тому

      You don't need a separate charging circuit, you can simply charge through Bluetooth board, remember to turn on the speaker while charging otherwise the battery is not connected to the Bluetooth board so you can't charge it

    • @Koosnaff
      @Koosnaff 4 роки тому

      @@nikodembartnik The board will charge the battery, but the board spec says you MUST use a BMS for the battery to prevent overcharging - that circuitry is not built into the bluetooth board. If you leave the charger connected that battery is at risk of exploding/catching fire

      @@nikodembartnik ... I hope that you realize that I'm basically teasing you as I would a friend. I suspect that you simply chose a piece of wood that you happen to have lying around as it has nail holes and a lot of imperfections. That said, I think that, if you put your mind to it and purchased true, cabinet-making quality wood, took your time, and did not use stain over glue and wood-filler, you could create a truly inspiring piece of furniture. You're an intelligent and inspiring young man and that's why I always give you the thumbs up. :-)
