I'm assuming that when Clem plays European zerg, he's at lower ping.
This might be critical, Reynor once said he hates playing ling/bane against Clem because his micro just makes it impossible. The zerg definately has the advantage when the ping goes up a bit, fully upgraded zerglings are easier to control compared to splitting and target firing with marines.

Observation: Solar is a master strategist of zergling rallying and zoning. His work ethic in relentlessly hunting down memes was the tactic that broke the infamous Clem memes contain. Lurker baiting done wonderfully with very aggressive ling flood. Never touch Roach, Muta, Queen (except for creep spread and early range defense), Nydus, Ultra. Just simple overseers, lings, banes, with lurker baits. Curiously, Clem did abandon the MMM way earlier than all of his TvZ matches. Maybe has to do with lurker baiting without any zerg flier?
How come terrans never move their production structures to their mining bases in the late game? I mean if Clem had moved his barracks to the 6oclock base he wouldnt have had to shuffle between his main and mining base. He would just have to stand his ground... and i dont mean fly them all at once but maybe one or two at a time maybe?
I think it's mostly because the add-ons can't fly. They're pretty important. And while they're not hugely expensive individually the total cost is quite significant. It's is enough that you really don't want to rebuild them just to move production location. Obviously this isn't a hard rule; in base trades the Terran will absolutely abandon the add-ons to relocate production.
@@mso2013 Ayup, Terran late game is production non-stop, people can't even spare a tech lab for starport despite how great Raven is at creep cleaning + support.
Hey Lowko, regarding your winrate calculations of Clem this year vs Zerg.... His Winrate based on your video informations is 57.90% not 89%. I dont know where do you get your numbers.
I think it was around 20+min mark that Solar took a fight at Clems 1st expo and main that Clem lost his only factory that was making the occasional tank and the low eco of the late game that prevented him from investing in more tanks instead of ghosts and libs. I wouldn't really blame Clem's decisions in the late game, he was doing his best and was trading pretty efficiently on defense but that's all he was doing at that point. He wasn't counter harassing or pushing back as aggressively as he did in the early game which is what ultimately lost him the match. Great solid slugfest all around.
I don't really watch many eSports, but SC2 is not a team game. At least, not most of the time. LoL/DotA/etc. *are* and the team dynamics is probably where a lot of the fun comes in. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ However, my smooth brain can't even figure out what Clem did wrong here. How did he lose after that dominating lead?
I think it was just that Solar was able to keep up with Clem's shenanigans very well; preemptively pumping drones to nullify the early game harassment, keeping up with Clem's want to split his attention to multiple fights, and using Zergling's mobility to make pushing forward very difficult while he built up tech and materials in the background.
I think a couple of Thors would have made a big difference. Needed something to hold the front line while the weaker units can dish out more damage. 2 thors per a fight would have made a pretty big impact.
All videos with Clem start by praising him because he always wins against Zerg... But then in all videos I saw Clem ends up losing :) I would be happy to see Clem win from time to time (as apparently that should happen 9 times over 10)
Dont get me wrong, Clem is super great player. But he is one trick pony against zerg. Marines mines is must and later it is ghost time. Even when ppl knows what is he going to do, they cant punish it. Reynor tries to mix things up against him, but none of the mix seems to work great. This time I think he only lost because of that one ghost missplay. Is Clem really that good? Or is just this strategy really that good? BTW huge thumb up for Solar, his focus was insane!
I used to play League of Legends like an addiction and watched the pros for years, was my first e-sport. But I quit League, and don't watch the pros, because this is so much more interesting. I play Starcraft 2 but at 35 I'm just too old, so it's tough playing competitive and learning how to get good, but I absolutely love watching the pros! Thx Lowko for still saying things here and there to help new players, like what certain units or buildings do.
I feel the same way. I'm also too far into my 30's and just started out playing Starcraft 2. I'm a big fan of C&C, especially Kane's Wrath. I used to play pvp back when the game was just out, but not anymore. I still entertain the thought of trying some multiplayer, but never do, because I'm just too slow with the hotkeys and stuff. I do play some Quick matches now and then in C&C Remastered and even win some games. But those old C&C games are simple compared to C&C3 and Starcraft 2.
The Terran lost because he continued with the same strategy the entire game, you cannot continue with Marine and Bio only until the end of the game, seeing that the Zerg is faster on land, a banshies or some bater cruiser could have made a difference, Furthermore, liberators are terrible to use in large armies, they are only useful for flank attacks and quick strategies.
Maaan i get you when you say that you wonder why people would watch anything but SC... and you are right.... Now... the league of legends comparison doesn't fit there... cuz league of legends I would say is a differente type of game. So these two games I think shouldn't be compared... they are incredible in their own particular style.
24:20 I would disagree about Starcraft being simple and easy to watch. I think a League of Legends game is waay easier to keep track of especially compared to the fighting all around the map that Clem did in the early game of this match. That being said, there is a certain beauty in these SC matches.
24:20...yeah, sure, super easy :P. It's because of how used you are to the game and how much you know about it. I play SC2, but not even close to ur lvl. Think of the bronce league viewer submitted videos and that's pretty much it lol. Without ur comentary I wouldn't get half of wtf is happening (or why it's happening) which would substract a ton to my enjoyment of the match. I could say the same you said there about LoL or DDO because I play them a lot, for example.
Honestly I don’t know why guys fan boy over Clem didn’t he recently get smashed by Rogue 3-0? Show those games Clem wins against lesser Zerg players and beats reynor and Serral because they’re not as aggressive as Dark and Rogue. Clem is great when he is on the enemies side of the map and harassing them to death he can’t take his own medicine and quickly falls apart when he’s being attacked and harassed. There’s just too much bias for this kid and I don’t get why.

Maaan i get you when you say that you wonder why people would watch anything but SC... and you are right.... Now... the league of legends comparison doesn't fit there... cuz league of legends I would say is a differente type of game. So these two games I think shouldn't be compared... they are incredible in their own particular style.
Fully upgraded zerglings are disgusting
Even with 85%+ wr against zerg Clem loses to a Z key spammer, unbelievable how stupid zerg is.
Lol, I thought Clem won in this game? Does holding the game until 30 mins insane enough? Jeez
solar won
24:20 I would disagree about Starcraft being simple and easy to watch. I think a League of Legends game is waay easier to keep track of especially compared to the fighting all around the map that Clem did in the early game of this match. That being said, there is a certain beauty in these SC matches.
14:43 awww lowko is hitting puberty xD
Clem is INSANE! fixed your Video title Lowko :P
geezus I almost wet myself during these epic game @_@
Aw, I wanted to see Clem win again. :( The title is so misleading... Although I kinda expected that.
That terran play is extremely annoying but effective
24:20...yeah, sure, super easy :P. It's because of how used you are to the game and how much you know about it. I play SC2, but not even close to ur lvl. Think of the bronce league viewer submitted videos and that's pretty much it lol. Without ur comentary I wouldn't get half of wtf is happening (or why it's happening) which would substract a ton to my enjoyment of the match. I could say the same you said there about LoL or DDO because I play them a lot, for example.
Clem getting stomped by zergs, as it should be
ling, bane OP. nerf pls
No one really cares about your silver opinion dude.
