I only (kinda) knew that you could because I gave him a full stack of logs, but one of them had an odd shape and Bolson said he couldn't accept it, so he took all of them except that one and I had to get a different one.
Same here. I did it 3 logs wide and 5 logs tall so I could just grab the top log and gently place it at the bottom of the cliff and just jump down to carry it the rest of the way.
Wow, I knew those Lizalfos switched out during the night and day due to temperature, but I just thought they were despawning/spawning while offscreen. I didn't know they were physically burrowing. That's pretty cool. I didn't even know Lizalfos COULD burrow.
I glued them together in a triangle shape. With 1 on the top, 2 on the layer below it, then 3 on the 3rd layer, 4, then 5, it all perfectly adds up to 15 logs.
I just realised I've not unlocked the Earthwake technique in this game! I finished the main story a couple of months back, have like 32 hearts and I've explored almost all of the Depths and gotten all the obvious Overword shrines... what the bloody hell did I miss?! 🤣
A note for number 3, oddly, Gerudo Highlands is one of the better places to farm elemental horns compared to Hebra and Death Mountain like last game; when you kill the ice and fire lizalfos, go down to the desert to fight the electric, and by then the blood moon brings them back.
Any shrine with target circles you can cheese with bombs (just toss or shoot a bomb into them!). A lot of rails sections in shrines can be shield surfed instead. A few Brightbloom Seeds tossed about destroys all challenge in shrines themed around using a Zonai Light to find your way. Recall is absurdly handy for getting extra height via Ascend through objects held above you and Recalled to that position, and can cheese several shrine puzzles.
I solved so many shrines where you're trying to get link from one point to another just by moving something with Ultrahand close to the destination then back to link, getting on it and the recalling it. I also used this a ton for getting across gaps of lava or water early in game. Just moving things around with Ultrahand and then jumping on and recalling.
For the shrine with the mine cart, I took one of those flat boards and moved it along the track as though it were pushing a cart, then brought it back. Then I put the cart on the track and used the recall ability on the board, and the board pushed me and brought me up to speed to make it across the gap.
@@bearcubninja Clearly the superior option. I was wondering what they wanted me to do to "solve" it and for whatever reason I didn't think about whacking it with an attached paddle piece, even though that's what the previous two puzzles were. Brain fart.
Something really neat I accidentally found out about the Gerudo Desert Lizalfos. Dropping something on where they burrow would briefly pop them into existence (simultaneously dealing physic object damage) then immediately vanish. This can be repeated as long as you can keep track of where they disappear. I've tried this a Zonai Vehicle, but have yet to try with anything else. Bonus: you can use the Stake Arrow trick with almost anything involving retrieving objects that you can manipulate with Ultra-hand. As long as you keep the stake from going into its despawn range. I recently tried this with a Shrine Stone on a certain Sky island that I couldn't remember the name. And it worked beautifully. With the longest range bow I had, the stake couldn't make it to the other island without despawning so the only thing I needed to do was to quickly follow it to keep it within range.
I see how it can be an advantage in situations like the shrine stones, but I don't see why this is a good way to reunite Koroks. Unless you happen to be at the destination beforehand. Most of the time, I find myself at the korok itself that needs to be reunited with his friend. In that case, it is better to just use a flying machine.
#3 really bugged me because at the time I was really looking for Fire lizalfos tail with the sensor and they despawned right before I could get close enough to see what happened
I discovered the Lizalfos change on accident, I had defeated the Fire Lizalfos, turned around to do or grab something and then turned around and two Ice Lizalfos had taken their place I wonder if the Stake arrow was intended and some poor developer has been watching people do that with a bundle of wood just tearing their hair out.
3:47 Of course. Why is this a question? Fuse 15 logs together and bring them back. You don't need a fancy car or anything. Collecting 15 logs is one of the coolest side quests? To each their own I guess... Also, don't use the strat from #8, you can lose Zonaite due to the limit of items on the ground at any given time.
I'd note that stake arrow can also be replicated with steak arrows. :P (and any other item that would fall off an arrow on hit, like most food items and wood bundles)
You only need a normal 4 wheeled 1 plank cart to tow the 15 logs. You glue the logs together in a stack then glue the stack somewhere balanced in the cart. 4 large wheels are enough to transport just pick some trees nearby. You can always attack your steering stick floating off the front of the plank.
the restoration quest made me sad, i wanted to use horse and cart to bring the logs but the system is just so underwhelming and difficult compared to making a truck. i want a good use for horse carriages than just the bards quests to take them 20 feet away
Raise your hand if you didn't even know you could give Bolson one log at a time.
I only (kinda) knew that you could because I gave him a full stack of logs, but one of them had an odd shape and Bolson said he couldn't accept it, so he took all of them except that one and I had to get a different one.
✋
I literally just fused 15 logs together and carried them all at once. I didn't even have to un-fuse them.
Same. I put wheels on the log stack and drove it there
I connected them in a circle and let them roll there
Yeah I just carried them as well
Same
Same here.

For Lurelin village, you can just glue all 15 logs together (in a cubic shape ideally), put some wheels and you're done
thats literally what i did, bolson freaked out but that might be because i nearlt ran him over
I glued them together in a triangle shape. With 1 on the top, 2 on the layer below it, then 3 on the 3rd layer, 4, then 5, it all perfectly adds up to 15 logs.
5:20 if you use logs are a base for the vehicle not only do you get unique diolog but probably is easier
I just realised I've not unlocked the Earthwake technique in this game! I finished the main story a couple of months back, have like 32 hearts and I've explored almost all of the Depths and gotten all the obvious Overword shrines... what the bloody hell did I miss?! 🤣
The yiga clan world quest apparently.
A note for number 3, oddly, Gerudo Highlands is one of the better places to farm elemental horns compared to Hebra and Death Mountain like last game; when you kill the ice and fire lizalfos, go down to the desert to fight the electric, and by then the blood moon brings them back.
finally, a use for the earthwake technique!
180 hours in and I've just learnt about the earthquake technique...
Fun fact: you can recall a shooting star.
Seeing enemies just get juggled like that is hilarious lmao
I would like to see other shrines resolutions, it is always a surprise to see so many solutions!

Link of the Depths has some good alternate shrine solve videos
Not sure the shrine name, but one with electricity, I had to just shoot a shock arrow and run through the gate.
For the shrine with the mine cart, I took one of those flat boards and moved it along the track as though it were pushing a cart, then brought it back. Then I put the cart on the track and used the recall ability on the board, and the board pushed me and brought me up to speed to make it across the gap.
i just shield surfed lol

For bolsons logs I literally just fused them altogether into a ballish shape and rolled it down the hill
I fused 15 logs in the shape of how little children draw cars, attached wheels and a steering stick Amar drove it to Bolson😅
The physics in the game is unparalleled by no other game besides BotW
#3 really bugged me because at the time I was really looking for Fire lizalfos tail with the sensor and they despawned right before I could get close enough to see what happened
Wow. For the logs in the village, lol, I used the logs for the vehicle itself.
I’m definitely not utilizing Recall enough. Thanks for the reminder.
One of the best channels frfr
I discovered the Lizalfos change on accident, I had defeated the Fire Lizalfos, turned around to do or grab something and then turned around and two Ice Lizalfos had taken their place
I wonder if the Stake arrow was intended and some poor developer has been watching people do that with a bundle of wood just tearing their hair out.
You can solve like 50% of the trials with shield rockets you bring in with you.
4:08 I literally just fused 15 logs together and attached some wheels and a steering stick, turning the load into the vehicle itself
now this is big brain
I fused the 15 logs together in a "cube", give it big wheels and a stick :D it was fun
Man, your videos are always excellent, and you're a great player too!
Thank you so much Beverly! ❤️

More incredible finds by the Looygi Brothers, thanks again! I wonder how many hours you all have in TotK?
Exactly 10 days
0:30 u just be bullying that construct
I fused the logs into a 3x5 block and added wheels and a steering column. Drove it all the way there.
Intro is so fire
In the shrine with rails, I just shield surfed.
I fashioned my 15 logs into a cube and slapped some wheels and a steering stick on it. Log Truck? No! LOGS TRUCK
I just build the vehicle out of the 15 logs 😂
5:15 ...that, or simply fuse all logs together, attach wheels and a steering wheel and drive back.
This sure is 9 cool things
I'd note that stake arrow can also be replicated with steak arrows. :P (and any other item that would fall off an arrow on hit, like most food items and wood bundles)
1:39 I encountered this one right on time and just assumed it was a scripted second wave of enemies
I thought you had to deliver all 15 logs at once I didn’t know you could do less at a time
Recall's impressiveness is rivaled only by the strength of those barrel staves.
I just built a car out of the 15 logs and drove it to Bolson no fancy dump truck needed

You glue the logs together in a stack then glue the stack somewhere balanced in the cart. 4 large wheels are enough to transport just pick some trees nearby. Or just glue them together and push it down the hills. As long as you recall it once in a while to keep it spawned in
Going to be learning new things 6 months later
7:34 I literally just crawled across
Link learned how to volley from Smash
5:16 Unfortunately accurate.
Very cool video 🔥
looygi bros, you madmen! brilliant ideas here.
The things about the stakes was unexpextected, what a game3
I believe Link mastered recall better than Zelda 😅
Why when I tried the stake to the arrow trick when my stake-arrows hit the ground they disintegrated?
The fifteen logs❤❤❤❤ game of the YEAR
1:58 what outfit are you wearing?
6:38 I just use Yunobo or Mineru to smash the ore
the restoration quest made me sad, i wanted to use horse and cart to bring the logs but the system is just so underwhelming and difficult compared to making a truck. i want a good use for horse carriages than just the bards quests to take them 20 feet away
Wait, how do you do the earthquake technique where link slams into the ground in the beginning?
You have to complete the Yiga armour quest.
On the puzzle, I just walk lol 😂
0:12 playing tekken.
What earthquake technique?! I don’t know that exist!
when will you continue zelda wind waker ?
Dang man, frickin smarty over here with these useful totk tips! Thank you! 😊
EARTHWAKE?! WHAT THE FUCK IS EARTHWAKE?!
So you mean you huys didn't create the vehicle to move the logs... With the logs themselves?
👍
That’s cool
You can’t attach anything to recalled items anymore in the latest patch. Instead of actually going back it breaks the bond then goes back.
Amazing detail about TotK:
Recall only works on objects but not on people, with the exception of Zelda.
This is because she's a woman. /jk no ban pls
How you don't get copyright of recording nintendo games I heard if one made a video about nintendo game he will get copyright
I want to like this, but its at 69 likes
it's safe to return
Does no one know you dont need all 15 logs at once??? I did mine in sections
Yo first comment!
I'm not first but I won't be last
That is literally the worst, most labor-intensive, most boring fetch quest in the history of video games. And you think it’s great.
incredible how you get NO Loot from the monsters droped over the island very clever
