One tip I found is while fighting a phantom ganon, my 8 year old son told me to use a dazzle fruit on my bow against him, so I did. It does a small stun on him, but more importantly it gets rid of the gloom effect that follows him around so you can get in close and hit him with your sword without getting gloomed, I thought that was a pretty cool side effect of the dazzle fruit.
That makes sense. I haven't had the chance to try it myself yet but I seen someone say that it's weak to the light from the rods when you put shooting star pieces in them instead of any other gem. So I guess it's weak to light
I've had two Gloom Hands just die on me with no discernible reason. The one at Lake Kolomo, when I jumped into the water to get away and it tried to follow me in, got stuck at the water's edge, then when I looked back the Hands were gone and there were Dark Clumps on the ground; the second one under Morok Shrine northwest of Kakariko, when I climbed up the hanging root after the Hand spotted me and then it just died and dropped Dark Clumps again. I thought they might be weak to water but when I tried hitting it with Splash Fruits it didn't seem to do much
I had this thought but used the brightbloom instead because it gives off light, was disappointed to see it didn’t work but I’ll try this because it is exactly the effect I was hoping for. This fkn game man
I love how in the video where you talked about the hidden apple, someone commented something like " Who knows what we'll get in totk? Maybe there will be two hidden apples!" Well, you got your wish.
I reached the village and went looking just last night. Seeing the second apple wouldn't have been nearly as amazing if I hadn't seen that comment first.
Personally my favorite detail. In BOTW there was one flower hidden in the Deku trees mouth, if you glitched your way into it. Pretty sure this was either forgotten about or some developer thing. Now as a reference to that there is a korok living there surrounded by similar flowers if you ascend from the korok shops.
A detail I just noticed is that the flame, frost, and shock emitters resemble the heads of the dragons Dinraal, Naydra, and Farosh while also sharing their elemental effects with their respective dragon! It's such a neat detail that I believe also adds some lore to the game if you look into it deeper
In the compemdium entries for the dragons, it said that they are physical manifestations of the their respective elements. Kinda made me wonder if they were gods or something.
I don’t know how they managed to make a game that still felt so much like the original while still being SO much more than originally anticipated. This might be the best game I’ve played as an adult
They were given enough time and money. 6 years to iterate and raise the quality. A year of that was spent just polishing. Not every studio gets to have that. It’s a rare thing.
@@kq5149Although that's how it should be, especially for AAA franchises that have the reputation of their brand to back them up. In Gerudo town, if you go to the voe class in the town proper (not underground) you can fuse the desk up front to your sword or shield. As you walk through Gerudo town, people will mention it, particularly the Voe class teacher saying "that desk...."
Probably the best follow-up I've seen is the cooking book in Ashai's house in Gerudo Town (the teacher from the Voe and You classes). The book exists in both BotW and TotK, and if you interact with it, the game will say that the book is too high up for Link to read. You could drag a barrel from the other side of town to try and read the book, but the game displays the same message still. In TotK however, they accounted for this and now Link doesn't need to ask the Amazonian lady to read the book for him.
Despite the game, articles and videos telling you that you can’t reach Korok Forest through the Lost Woods, you can actually still do it by following the direction of the spores in the air. There’s another person who discovered it several days before me, but in my case, I was very stubborn to accept that we “can’t” go through it. There is a small collection of animals lurking there, heavily implying that the devs knew what they were doing.

So you dont have to lose any resources - flux constructs dont attack unless they see you or you attack 1st. So you could go into bullet time & strike the weak spot until you hit the floor. You might even defeat it before that point - each sage has a symbol appear on the secret stone to represent that person's element. 1 also appears for ganondorf...I wonder what his means - if you shoot a fire keese eye arrow at a king gleeok, it will home in on the ice head & vice versa for the fire head. So much fun to be had with this series, I can't wait to see what else pops up. I haven't even gotten to my 2nd dungeon yet, slowly enjoying my gameplay, but I'll definitely be here for this
Since the gloom sword, when used, takes slowly drains life from you with each hit, attack a shard of light, which not only slowly restores the gloomed heart container but restores your health as well.
Further to the secret apples in Kakariko, I found a secret Hylian shroom in Lookout Landing. In the circular part in the middle around the edges, you can crouch underneath, and there’s a mushroom under there
I think the glitch fixes have less to do with nintendo being less relaxed than that botw was also on wii u, meaning it was harder to get rid of issues.
Another way to get easy bullet time is to fuse a wing to a shield. The 2nd jump in mid-air you do when you equip a wing-shield and try to shield surf is higher than normal. It takes a bit of practice, but you can do shield surf > cancel in mid-air with B > then hold ZR to enter bullet time. You can get like 5 seconds of bullet time because by the time you enter it, you almost hitting the ground.
This video was sick! It’s really amazing how much thought was put not only to the game(which is amazing lol) but into the battle mechanics and the physics as well! Some of these were too good I gotta watch the video again 😃
Aaaand we're baaaack! This series in BOTW is where I get most of the tips I use in the game. Now, this series will be extra special in TOTK. Looking forward to the glitches/combat breakdown and more tips.
Gloom/Demon King weapons normally drain your health when your use them. But you can fuse them onto any other weapon to keep the damage buff with none of the downsides
The ice block likely has a thin layer of liquid water covering it, causing it to be a good conductor of electricity. Maybe that’s what the developers were intending?
You can fuse the metal bookshelves in the castle library to your gear. Since they're huge and sturdy they actually make a pretty good shield fusion. Plus it looks brilliant. And if you have it defused at terry town you can take it over to your house! It's not very practical since it's huge. But still fun.
Wow I wish I knew the tip about the dazzle fruit sooner because stal enemies are still annoying as ever & seemingly more evil in their attacks so that's going to help so much in saving me time. I've noticed that Tulin's force ghost doesn't know how to headshot a stal for some reason, he just hits the bodies instead yet he has no problem killing every rock octorok I've come across so far which was three & that just shows how rare they already are but I do try to dismiss him right when I see an enemy that I don't want to attack just yet but it's just in these particular cases where by the time I noticed the rock octorok Tulin just one shot kills it before I even get a chance. Don't get me wrong I love Tulin a lot & most of the time his Force ghost is not really a problem & normally does exactly what I want, it's pretty intuitive but God can I hate that guy sometimes like for blowing my items off a cliff & one shot killing octoroks when I need them alive. I haven't gotten the other sages yet so I have no idea if the others can do anything that can inconvenience the player or not.
In my path mode, the area around the twin peak mountain stable is pretty much entirely lit up with my drift practicing sessions lol. So cool that you could do that, deja vu i have been in this place before.
I’m just wondering if Nintendo just gonna keep making games like this until that the under that bridge is filled with apples on the ledge how much guys how much you wanna bet they’re going to do that 0:28
Some good hints, I’ve got a feeling the freedom of this game is gonna produce a ridiculous amount of these, can’t wait. Tears has reinvigorated my love for zelda after not being that into breath
Nice compilation video, but it'd be better if you dropped the lie about "we discovered this" when really you're just pulling discoveries from the much more multi-facteted and talented community.
WOOHOO, im SO happy this is back! I always enjoyed watching the botw ver, and trying out the cool stuff for when i was bored in the game. Thank you so much for bringing it back, im really gonna enjoy this series! ❤️💪
My mind was blown the other day when I saw a Reddit post where a person used Ultrahand on a Flux Construct. This video blew my mind again seeing Fuse work on its pieces. Can’t believe the only abilities I used on it were Recall and Ascend.
In the yiga clan hideout on the great plateau, if you go inside and look at the door you can see a caricature of link with devil horns. There’s also shreds still taped to the door like someone got so mad that they ripped the original one off and then had to make another 😂
This was one thing I noticed from another youtuber's video: So, this guy went to the yiga clan hideout, (of course, wearing the armor), and he went up to the first yiga Blademaster you see who's standing on that rise. The guy decided to take a picture with the Blademaster using the Purah pad. He used selfie mode, so you could see both Link and the Blademaster. Then, the guy adjusted the camera at an angle, turning it a bit. But I noticed that when the guy turned the camera, the Blademaster was following it with his head, turning his head in the direction of the camera, instead of ignoring it and observing Link, like how the enemies and other NPCs used to do in BOTW. This isnt a big thing, but I thought it was kinda intresting and a fun little added feature :)
With flux constructs, I always found ascend to be super useful when it becomes a block floating around. You can just head right up and spin to win or bully it and it takes forever to shake u off
as a side note on the NPC attacked animations, if you attack a Gerudo guard, some of them will actually hit Link with their spears. It does no damage, but does send him flying.
I found a little thing when you fuse an explosive item to your shield, such as Bomb flowers or bomb barrels, the explosion propels you upward. A good alternative using Zonai springs on your shield. If you equip one of these shields while you are shield surfing you can give yourself an upward boost anytime.
To be fair I had no clue they had a tail whip. I mean I hunted all the King Gleeoks back to back but all I got was a gust of wind and annoying amount of heavy breathing with elemental spice.
Wow man I didn’t know 90% of these and I can’t wait to see what else you guys find in this game, hope we can continue watching these til the next game 😅
3:15 no. Just no. The only thing that’s good for is breaking ore in case of emergency. Literally regular sized rocks add more damage than +2 I’m pretty sure… lol. But there are tons of things you wouldn’t expect but can fuse. Barrels, boxes, metal barrels, metal crates, the list goes on haha. But as far as making a ore breaking weapon, you’re better off using any rock instead haha.
Very glad to see this series back in the new game, very excited to see what's to come for one of my next favorite all time games as we switch from breath of the wild to tears of the kingdom, an exciting transition for sure. :)
One tip I found is if you find a handy source of Zonai mirrors you can make a mirror shield. When you use it in battle it emits a dazzling beam of light that blinds most enemies and insta-kills stal enemies. I accidentally found that out when a group of stal moblins attacked me and I drew my one handed sword only to be thoroughly confused when the skeletons dropped dead and dissolved because the flash from my shield killed them.
The dazzle fruit against stal enemies is actually so clutch thanks for the tip, hate those enemies, I usually just use Majora's mask at night strictly so they dont waste my durability or arrows lol
Fun fact: ive found that rails, at least the ones at death mountain, do not take shield durability when you surf on it, unless you use a zonai device like a homing cart, as powered devices will take extra durability if you surf while its on your shield due to the combo of durability loss from device use, and surfing.
You can use a wing shield to increase your shield jump, high enough to bullet time with lenient timing And with Flux Constructs, you can actually climb on their face without being seen, as long as you don't cover their eye
We're back! And we've got even more to show on the next episode, so make sure to stick around! What was your favorite thing here? 😄

I just drop 4 apples at once and wait till he eats em all
Meat!
One thing for the next part: Zeldas house in hateno isnt only Zeldas house. Link can sleep in the bed. He cant sleep in any other bed. Link and Zelda moved together. Its their house!
I've found a number of beds not affiliated with inns/stables that you can sleep in.
@@kentp.2309 link has been busy since botw 😏
Yeah, it's obviously a house for two. There are two plates on the table and stuff.
So much fun to be had with this series, I can't wait to see what else pops up. I haven't even gotten to my 2nd dungeon yet, slowly enjoying my gameplay, but I'll definitely be here for this
That first fact was the highlight of my playthrough, it was one of the first things I checked and I was absolutely delighted
Since the gloom sword, when used, takes slowly drains life from you with each hit, attack a shard of light, which not only slowly restores the gloomed heart container but restores your health as well.
Further to the secret apples in Kakariko, I found a secret Hylian shroom in Lookout Landing. In the circular part in the middle around the edges, you can crouch underneath, and there’s a mushroom under there
That dazzle fruit vs stal enemies is so useful
Do you get drops for using the dazzlefruit?
I'm hyped for the next 100 episodes of this series, it's just amazing👍
I think the glitch fixes have less to do with nintendo being less relaxed than that botw was also on wii u, meaning it was harder to get rid of issues.
9:27 this made me laugh harder than it should have XD
This game is just incredible. With a single game, Nintendo proved how they put more heart into their product.
I... did not know Muddle Buds worked on Talus' like that.
That is actually hilarious.
Another way to get easy bullet time is to fuse a wing to a shield. The 2nd jump in mid-air you do when you equip a wing-shield and try to shield surf is higher than normal. It takes a bit of practice, but you can do
shield surf > cancel in mid-air with B > then hold ZR to enter bullet time. You can get like 5 seconds of bullet time because by the time you enter it, you almost hitting the ground.
This is a good way to fight lyonels
This video was sick! It’s really amazing how much thought was put not only to the game(which is amazing lol) but into the battle mechanics and the physics as well! Some of these were too good I gotta watch the video again 😃
Aaaand we're baaaack! This series in BOTW is where I get most of the tips I use in the game. Now, this series will be extra special in TOTK. Looking forward to the glitches/combat breakdown and more tips.
I always imagined the vine boom sound effect when you post one bc im like "another one???"
I found the collapsing bridge - which is an awesome piece of environment interaction - but definitely didn't think to use the pieces
This series is going to be so much fun!
Finally, after seeing the same tips over and over again, your video actually has very unique & useful tips I actually didn't know about for once!
I literally waited for this series to drop, thanks RinHara and Gamespot!
Gloom/Demon King weapons normally drain your health when your use them. But you can fuse them onto any other weapon to keep the damage buff with none of the downsides
You genius
The ice block likely has a thin layer of liquid water covering it, causing it to be a good conductor of electricity. Maybe that’s what the developers were intending?
i think bc it’s always melting as you’re using it maybe?
I think it's because the starting material is water
You can fuse the metal bookshelves in the castle library to your gear. Since they're huge and sturdy they actually make a pretty good shield fusion. Plus it looks brilliant. And if you have it defused at terry town you can take it over to your house! It's not very practical since it's huge. But still fun.
Amazing start of what's going to be an even better series! Looking forward for another 6+ years of fun facts
Love/hate Tulin!!! Constantly blowing items off cliffs and shooting enemies after I’ve purposefully frozen them. 🤦🏾♂️
Why would you ever need octoroks alive?
Something tells me that this series is gonna be even longer than the Botw one
True, but also got started much earlier. BOTW content videos took a while to take off and figure out what content and format works.
This could’ve been a thousand items and I would’ve watched every second! Great video can’t wait to try some of these tonight!
I feared that this series would die with the release of TotK, very glad it is back!
I already learned new stuff and can't wait for more!
VERY excited for more vids about TOTK! LOVED this one :D!
This is awesome! Can’t wait to see this series progress! But, are there still going to be BotW videos?
Pretty sure his last botw "things you didn't know" video said that it would be the last of the series.
@@ScottWinter-rm2of Yeah, it did :(
Totk = Torture of the Koroks
good on ya for crediting the glitch discoveries in the description, even if the ones mentioned were all only mentioned in passing
A good chunk of these I never thought to try, thanks for the tips. I guess if it can move you can fuse it.
Can u believe there actually are two apple under the kakariko bridge now, incredible.
I can't wait to be absolutely mind-blown by the facts coming up!
One of the best series of both games. Cheers for a few more years of totk!
With flux constructs, I always found ascend to be super useful when it becomes a block floating around. You can just head right up and spin to win or bully it and it takes forever to shake u off
the dazzlefruit & stalkoblin fact was my favorite! definitely gonna be using that trick.
my favorite fact is the Dazzle-B-Gone on stal enemies
If course we knew it was coming but awesome to see this back. To learn some things that I didnt know. Thank you Gamespot
It’s good to see wall are back you’re both facts always kept me playing
Using autobuild to quickly gather apples is the coolest thing ever!
Never would've thought of doing that but I like it so much.
as a side note on the NPC attacked animations, if you attack a Gerudo guard, some of them will actually hit Link with their spears. It does no damage, but does send him flying.
7, 15, and 40 are game changers for me! but also to add to number 5, you can fuse a HOMING CART as a powered skateboard!
It was fun catching up on the first series of this. Let's go for another round!
I found a little thing when you fuse an explosive item to your shield, such as Bomb flowers or bomb barrels, the explosion propels you upward. A good alternative using Zonai springs on your shield. If you equip one of these shields while you are shield surfing you can give yourself an upward boost anytime.
Thank you for this video; it was really fun to watch!
Your videos are so good, they leave me with confus-son about how I didn't know this!
I'm so glad i knew like half of these. Once you guys start covering The Depths is when i know ill be out my league.
You can use a wing shield to increase your shield jump, high enough to bullet time with lenient timing
And with Flux Constructs, you can actually climb on their face without being seen, as long as you don't cover their eye
