I will be not surprised if that interference is cause by the power getting traveled trough the same wire in opposed direction to the console,and while both the rf and power signals does get filtered and saperated from each other by that switch box,BUT i would be not surprised if that bundled power signal takes up extra bandwide from the rf signal,thus resulting in an infirior signal, for what i do know is that the 2 port model of the atari 5200 has it’s rf out and power input saperated right out of the box,but i still don’t know if that revision does have indeed better rf out,somebody needs to confirm this.

if the your other one was a 2 player it doesn't take a switchbox so you wont miss it on the other lol
