Sunday Coffee Break Fundraising For A New Sign Leeper Flea Market
Tomorrow is my birthday. 27/11. I love that my Dreamcast reboots to a dead battery screen on my birthday in 1998. I have just solder the AV port back onto one of my dreamcasts that i haven't used in a loooong time. I have no idea why it's broken off but it was was like it was never soldered on well as it just popped off clean. Anyway, i soldered it back on and still nothing. I have ordered a very basic av cable to see if that can tell me anything. Thanks for the video 🙃
Gratitude.
Good morning , And happy Thanks Giving to you guys ! wanted to ask you what's a good make for a jukebox , I'm on the hunt here in Canada to buy my first one , I've allways wanted one .. I'm looking for one that would play randomly on free play .
I love the Rock-ola's for 45 jukebox and AMI for CD. Both can be set on free play. Random play I know the AMI Cd can but the Rock-ola's I have never looked to see if they can be set up for random play.
Thanks for the update.
You're welcome! I'm glad you found the update helpful.
RCA really started going downhill when Thomson took them over. Now the name is just used by a Chinese company. Thus RCA has earned the moniker "Really Crappy Appliances".
I agree.
Cool😊
Thank You Lynn
Wow😊!
It was a lot of work but well worth it.
love watching the home audio/stereo equipment videos. Nice stash u rounded up there! You will be studio standard when you’re done with that pile!! Cant wait!
Stay tuned there's a lot more to come.
Wow this labor of love has really come along! What a great arcade! Kudos!
Thank you so much! We're really proud of how the arcade has turned out and appreciate your support!
Good Haul. Looking forward to the unboxing!
Coming soon!
some good salesman got that guy to buy the whole Fisher line back in the day
I wonder how that went?
I only play EM machines. The older the better. If it has a digital display scoreboard i'm outta there. Too busy, too many balls at once, too fast.
I know what you mean. But I love playing them both.
Good video thanks. One question, why did you not desolder the caps from the underside of the pcb with a desolder sucker?
The caps on the Bose was surface mount.
Yep spotted it now
Heeloo we want toh concert vcr video in pendrive any help
These were lousy tables when brand new. How do I know? It was the first turntable I ever purchased back in 75-76 from Playback Audio in Oak Park, IL I returned it for another one and that had the same problem. What was the issue? Speed control. These early DC motor, servo(quartz oscillator) were not stable. Simply play a recording with sustained piano notes, notes that hang there and this POS waivers. Growing up in a home with musicians and a Baby grand Baldwin piano in the living room one becomes attuned to errors like this table produces. It's a design flaw ; the DC motor speeds up and to keep it at 33-45rpm, a servo device compares the rotational speed to the generators fixed frequency, thus slowing it down, speeding up, slowing down and on and on. There use to be a saying about DC motors; 'They go right by going wrong'. I'm amazed at how many peoples hearing is not very good when they say they cannot hear the issue. Turntables like the Pioneer PL-512 or 514 were, are much much better as they have large asynchronous motors that do a great job keeping speed. Not perfect but frankly what is, but a lot less wow. The table you're working on is a lot worse. It belongs on a refuse heap.
Thank you for sharing your detailed thoughts! Your experience adds a lot of depth to the discussion about turntables and their quirks. It’s always helpful to learn from those who’ve been through it all!
👻😺
Got to love a cat video.
Arcade is getting pretty full!! You’re going to have to get working on the upstairs soon. Looking forward to you seeing you get the dart machines up and running.
Fingers crossed!
Hi dad love you dad been messaging you I thought you didn't want to talk to me now I know what's going on
I will talk to you soon Jenn.
Have a good day 😊
Thanks for the visit Lynn.
Animals can be a real blessing, they can 'ground' you when thnigs get alittle haywire, so I'm happy to see she's still with you Todd.😺 Have a great week. 🌟
Yes, thanks
If you got a new number in the past month or 2, you might want to reach out to me so I can have it. I have an idea I wanted to shoot by you about your Flea Market sign.
Cool Chris, I shoot you the new number.
Hey once you drilled the locks was there a specific one you used ? Or just anyone that’s true to size would work? Have one but no keys and wondering if I should order keys on eBay or drill through it as well
i found it interestin that pachislo machines can be converted to take quaraters instead like i have a universal entertainment contest cranky its pronouned pachis-lo though i see it as pa chi slo...im gonan recap the stop board and replace the identical caps n the omron psu it came with the caps in the psu can be a later date as they look good currently and i plan to refinish the metal inside im doing it as a personal project for the machine i have
That sounds like an exciting project! It's great to hear you're diving into the details of your pachislo machine. Best of luck with the recap and refinishing!
@@RetroGamingWithHopper its gonna take me a bit but i will get it done even wiith the bad caps it still runs bu3t i only discovered the bad caps when i strted checking things over when i brough it into my room after it been sititng in garage
What kind of grease?
Super Lube.
Been waiting for the Arcade update!! Thanks Hopper…Keep doing what you’re doing and done give up on the Coffee Break!! Look forward to it every week.
Thanks! Will do!
Have you ever tried to mute the parts of the video you speed up and then do a voice over describing the process? Always enjoy the pinball and arcade videos!!
Thanks for the tip
@ I’m sure it would be a lot more work during the editing process…Might not be worth it 🤷🏼♂️
I’m dealing with the same issue on mine. It was a gift from my late grandmother, so I would like to keep it. Problem is finding someone to repair it, especially now that I see it can be done.
So I called Bose, and I checked around there are no local repair shops that fix Bose radios. Where are you located? How much would this cost me?
Starting this myself, so very helpful
Glad it was helpful!
I just told the wife that we need to take a trip up your way to give those machines a good workout. I don't want to see them mess up on you in the off-season😂
Just let me know when Chris.
Ms Pacman is a must have maybe even donkey Kong
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I completely agree that both Ms. Pacman and Donkey Kong are essential for any gaming lineup. They bring so much nostalgia!
Thanks very much for that Todd, much appreciated. I will rewind this & take notes on which back video series to look out for😾
Thank you for your kind words! I appreciate your support and hope you find the series enjoyable!
Cool 😊 love the arcade
Thank you Lynn! I’m thrilled to hear you love the arcade as much as I do. It really is a fun escape!
@@RetroGamingWithHopperit’s very interesting 😊
Heyyy Hopper that Scorpion and Sinbad turned out very nice looking. ? Did that guy ever come back and finish the furnace installation?
Thanks Carlos. No we had to get another company to come in and finish the installation.
@RetroGamingWithHopper Some people don't mind doing others wrong.
Use the heat from your soldering iron to heat up the connection where it’s sticking
The rubber diisc in the center comes off
You know that you have the lock on the arm.
I had that turntable when it was new . The dust cover comes off by closing the cover and picking it straight up. Not pulling it back. Works every single time.Look from the bottom and you’ll find 2 clips that are 90 degrees. Pull them up to straight so they can be pulled out. It’s so easy when you know or have the instruction manual.

Any idea on what to do when It randomly starts skipping? Like, I have a brand new CD that reads the first 9. But soon as it gets to 10 it has a hard time reading or it starts skipping.
I have had that happen on other CD players and have not been able to figure it out.
@RetroGamingWithHopper If I hold it at a 45° angle it plays with no issues 🤔
How do you determine with machine you have. Quarter conversion on a receiver that is about 8 inch’s long. It has a magnetic lift switch and a sensor About 1 inch down from switch.
I know you’ve heard it all before, but hang in there mate. If you’re at low point then things can only get better.
Thank you for the encouraging words! It’s true that tough times can lead to brighter days ahead.
Hi Todd glad to see you have your fog lights on! , so that you can finally see where your going. Onward & upward Bro. Don't let the buggers get you down?
I appreciate that
Great job 😊
Thank you so much! I really appreciate your support!
Thanks Todd for ALL your efforts 😊 Greatly appreciated - count me in on raffle basket - I like the guy basket & girl basket idea
It was just a thought. Thank You for all your support Lynn.
My similar Panasonic.. PV4559K .. when I put in a tape, it "sorta" takes it... makes some machine noises then "sorta" kicks the tape out. * I also have a Toshiba vcr/DVD burner combo that takes the tape, then immediately powers down. When i turn it on it immediately spits out the tape. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am purging the family home and many home movies on vhs. *thankfully the Hi 8 camcorder works and the Pioneer DVD burner does too!
You have some great ideas. If you need something, reach out, and I might be able to chip in some help. The flea market has been a tradition of mine since I was a baby. I would love to see it keep going and even grow larger.
I will Chris. Thanks For Everything.
Lol to your piggy bank comment. I'm an auto tech and had a client whose kid used their in dash cd changer as a piggy bank . It worked again after I opened it up an.. eh hem.. made a withdrawal 😂
That's a hilarious story! It's amazing what kids come up with. Glad you were able to fix it!
Thanks for doing this! I have model pv-4559-k, looks similar. It keeps kicking the tape out a few seconds (and a few mechanical noises later).. Since I opened it the display now is black... Any tips?? Thanks
Hope you're doing ok
Getting there TC. Thanks For Asking.
Good to see you being bright & positive Todd! 'Wearing your heart on your sleeve' shows you care, yes sometimes you have to set boundries to protect yourself, but most importantly you care, and that's a good thing.🙂 God Bless 🌟
Well said! Thanks. Sometimes it more of a burden then a good thing.
