Let me tell you about one of my favorite game series that is absolutely never coming back. Also, this is the only video for today. Had some issues with recording FF7 yesterday, so that will have to wait til tomorrow.
You never know. There was a point when nobody thought we'd see Shenmue 3. ...though I hope if we ever do get Legends 3, it turns out better than that. 😅

Okay Nico, but hear me out, basically every single Mega Man series came back as a collection within the last generation of consoles. OG Megaman, Megaman X, Zero, ZX, and Battle Network, all got collections within the last decade and are playable on modern consoles. The only series that hasn't so far has been Legends and Star Force, each with 3 games, so 6 games total which is about how many games all the other collections had. Don't give up hope, the dream is still alive.
My only knowledge of this game comes from the AVGN Megaman episode, so the only thing I really remember was the part where Megaman was reading some dirty magazines.
Somehow growing up I missed out on the Megaman Legends series despite playing every other Megaman series, it wasn't because I wasn't interested but didn't have the means to play them as a kid and kinda forgot about it until recent years when Nico would sometimes bring it up in his streams and I can see the wonder and fondness in his eyes whenever he talks about it, almost the same way how I feel towards Megaman Starforce- a very important series for me growing up and made me the kind of person I am today. I'm very glad to witness this live along with The Misadventures of Tronbon, these are very charming games and can't wait to witness Legends 2!
I still remember when I first t the museum curator...I said her painting needed more talent, then, upon her reaction, accidentally selected "talent" again. In a panic, I tried to fast forward to the options to pick the "red" option, and, naturally, didn't. Thankfully I calmed down enough to, presumably, avoid irreparable damage and finally say "red". On that day, I learned to appreciate the hard work of others and to be patient with reading. I also learned to fear insulting artists...
After years of hearing about this series from Nico on his livestreams and videos, I finally got to see what this game is all about and I can see why this series holds a special place in Nico’s heart! All I knew about this series was that this Mega Man had hair, Roll Casket, Data the Monkey, and that we never got a third game after a cliffhanger in the second game, much to the fans’ disappointment. The characters have such expressive faces and the retro graphics are so charming! This game is a classic gem and the Misadventures of Tron Bonne has been amazing so far on stream!
My favorite Megaman 💙 I know a Legacy Collection would be great, I'd be sooo for it.... but I would LOVE a Legends 1 and 2 (Maybe TMAO Tron Bonne) Remake instead. They could improve the gameplay, update the already good look, add to the story and lore a bit if needed, and much more 😀 Then, we could FINALLY get that Legends 3. This series needs a proper finale
The Mega Man Legends Series holds a very special place in my heart. I also played them over and over again when I was a kid and I can still recite most of the voice lines verbatim. And the music! I love the soundtrack to these games! I can gush for ages about this series! I like watching Speedruns too, but I don't like it when they sequence break the game. I rather watch legit speedruns where they go through the entire game as fast and perfectly as possible. Skip Text and Cutscenes all you want, it doesn't take away from the experience, but as soon as you phase through walls and start skipping levels and bosses, I loose all interest, honestly. But that's just me.

oh didn't know nico was a Legends fan i've only ever played Legends 2. i got stuck in it fairly early on then one day years later i went back and beat it in full. personally found the game to be really challenging. but i enjoyed it. then everything with 3 happened, from "woo a sequel!" to...well, we all know what happened. one of these days i gotta play legends 1
I played the Nintendo 64 port of this game and had a great time with it. I used to keep playing until I maxed out the Missile Launcher sub-weapon with the seeker missiles and unlimited ammo. It would take forever to build up enough money to do that.
Honestly with the first game having a expository wall text isn't that bad because it's ALL voice acted pretty nicely and charmingly. If it was JUST the wall of text then I would hate it, but the fact that they voce it all makes it a fine way to do exposition through thext imo.
Still breaks my heart we'll never get another Legends title. I as much as I love classic MegaMan and Battle Network......Legends is by far my favorite iteration of the character.
I playeed this game so much as a kid and fell un love with Tiesal's Laugh and learned how to imitate it. later traded it infor a mix with Mark Hamil's laugh, but I think I can still do it though ^^ fell in love with Roll, Tron Bonne and the curriator at the Museum. Because of this I game I looked up Megaman and found the Megaman Home page where I'd listen to differant songs from the differant games. I later on foundthe Megaman Legends Home page. While the regular Megman Home Page had all these Novals to read, the Megaman Legends Home page has alot of fanfiction that was fun to read. inluding one where Tron was kidnapped.
good times, playing "Megaman 64" with an old, busted cartridge we got from a friend for free, couldn't save the game or it would crash, so we'd try and beat the game in a single day, was our first megaman game as well, so imagine my surprise/disappointed when buying another one, totally still not upset about it....okay maybe just a little bit.
Something I've learned from this game playing as a kid, if you have No Special Weapon Equipped, can also unequip it from the special weapons tab; something I didn't know about. You can kick the Servbots whenever you blow them up after you beat them in their Tanks, or other machines. Didn't know this as a kid, till I watched this. Now I wanna play this game myself again.

The voice acting is surprisingly decent for a PS1 game. Also realizing the sound of you chewing makes me feel kinda ill. It’s very noticeable in the quiet areas.

I remember playing Megaman 64 (N64 version of Legends 1) as a kid and having a lot of fun with it (and getting spooked by the Sharukusuru Reaverbots in the Cardon Forest Sub Gate), but I had NO IDEA that it was actually called Legends until like, YEARS LATER. Then I found out there was a sequel and was like "Oh damn, how'd I miss out on this." Ever since though I bought the games through PSN and I've been having fun playing through them (and seeing the stuff I missed out on in Legends 1 compared to the N64 Version) one at a time. Your video's brought back old happy memories. STILL hoping for a Legends Legacy Collection some day!
OMG Did we ACTUALLY have the same childhood? With all the Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy 7 and now one of my other all time favorite games of all time: Megaman Legends. Boyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Based Nico, some might not understand, but the Legends series have something special about them, almost not captured by anything else. This spirit of freedom and charm that is so unique to this game. And also it's literally a video-game adaption of Ghibli's Castle in the Sky.
It makes me so happy to know you love Mega Man Legends and it's such a shame Legends 3 was canceled as this series is super charming just by playing Legends 1 and why I wish it would get a collection at the very least especially so I can finally play Misadventures and Legends 2
